Wrestling Information
Strategy: A grappler at heart, Samiya’s built her standup game around taking the fight to the ground on her terms. She likes to get in close, pounding her opponent with brutal strikes (particularly her sledgehammer kicks) mixed in with a range of throws to bring them to the mat (and the odd gymnastics inspired trick to keep her opponents guessing).Once she has an opponent down, Samiya has a well-earnt reputation as a scissor specialist, known for her ability to exhaust or outright crush her foes with her deadly legs. But her submission toolbox also includes a diverse range of joint locks and chokeholds, allowing her to pull apart a limb if she prefers.

Signature Moves:
Hellbound

Lifting her opponent up as if going for a belly to back suplex, Samiya reverses momentum halfway up and brings them crashing back down in a sit-out facebuster.
Witchblade

Approaching a kneeling opponent from the side, Samiya drives a powerful kick into the side of their head.
Via Dolorosa

From her opponent’s side, Samiya first takes control of one of their legs with both of hers, brutally scissoring their thigh between her own (often leaving that leg numb). Then, reaching down, she hooks her opponent’s free leg with an arm and forces it up until she can link her arms around their leg, one arm and head, securing her hold with an S-grip.
Scarlet Gospel (Cartwheel to Axe Guillotine Driver)

Running at her opponent from the side, Samiya turns an aerial cartwheel using their legs as the base. She uses her momentum to carry them over with her until she’s got them upside down on her back. From there, she simply tucks their legs under her arms and drops, crushing them under her.
Often Samiya follows up by pulling their neck up and rolling to one side for a brutal headscissors.
Lament Configuration (Mounted Figure Four Headscissors with Kneebar)

With her opponent flat on their back, Samiya straddles them and scoops their head into a reverse headscissors while simultaneously hooking an elbow behind one of their knees. Then she converts her headscissors into a figure four and sits back, planting her full weight on their face, crushing their head in her thighs and hyperextending their knee at the same time.
Personal Information
Personality
A fierce and brutal fighter, Samiya marries a natural talent for fighting with a pronounced mean streak. The Schoolgirl Assassin might enjoy putting on a good show for her fans but not as much as she enjoys the thrill of turning her opponents into a whimpering mess before she goes for the kill. More than one rival has thought they could intimidate her because of her beauty or because she’s a woman – mostly they’re the ones who end up scared of her and that’s just how Samiya likes it.
Possessed of a hard-edged confidence in herself and her abilities, it’s matched by a sardonic poise seemingly beyond her years although a vicious temper simmers underneath, ready to erupt – particularly when she feels underestimated or that she’s being condescended to. She’s never been one to back down and she’s not about to start now.
Quick-witted and hyper-competitive, Samiya is often abrasive or dismissive, a reflection of her self-centred if pragmatic worldview. Other people just don’t interest her much except insofar as how they can benefit her.

History
Samiya grew up in one of Miami’s meaner neighborhoods, the only daughter of a young Cuban doctor who’d emigrated to the United States in search of a better life and a Japanese mother she never met.
An athletic girl from an early age, Samiya’s first love was gymnastics; she convinced her dad to let her start taking classes after the third time he caught her mimicking moves she saw on the TV. Samiya went on to notch up a several impressive accolades at both the regional and national levels before a combination of body shaming, bullying and simple boredom led her to drop gymnastics in favour of weight lifting.
After that, she was on to crossfit.
Samiya was introduced to wrestling by her then-boyfriend. A member of his school wrestling team, he found the idea of rolling with his hot, gym-rat girlfriend far too appealing to ignore. Soon though, he realised he’d created a monster. Already athletic, Samiya took to grappling like a fish to water; physically obviously but also it suited her mentally.
The first time she and her boyfriend rolled, she scored a lucky tap with a bodyscissors. Soon enough after that, she was coming along to the wrestling team. While the team itself was for boys only, there were enough girls interested that the coach let them work out with the team and practice against them too (within weight limits, obviously).
Not all the boys were exactly welcoming but Samiya refused to quit. Instead, she got better. After a while, finding people willing to step onto the mats became something of an issue. Samiya had garnered a reputation for being somewhat rough and tumble – plenty of her opponents ended up wheezing and limping their way to the benches when she was through with them.
Nothing illegal or even particularly nasty. Just competitive.
Eventually, the school wrestling coach suggested she try out something else. One of his friends, an army veteran with a background in wrestling and MMA turned motorcycle mechanic, let locals use his garage for wrestling – mostly teens but a couple of kids in their early 20s too. Maybe Samiya ought to give it a go?
So she did. It was a less formal set up than she was used to – essentially, matches were informal, based purely on who showed up on any given occasion. There was still something of a pecking order, of course, as Samiya found out when she was put up against the reigning teen queen of the garage and lost in humiliating fashion. The other girl might not have Samiya’s raw athleticism – instead she had stamina and she had a plan.
Afterwards though, the garage owner came over to Samiya. He’d been very impressed by what he’d seen, particularly once it became clear how little formal training she’d had, and he was interested in taking her on as a student. Samiya agreed with alacrity. She was there five days a week. Soon, her instructor was calling her a natural and, two weeks later, it was her turn to leave the reigning teen queen, her instructor’s former prize student, limp on the mats.
Message sent. The Schoolgirl Assassin had been born.
Fast forward a year and Samiya was still using the garage for matches but now she was the star attraction. The strongest and most skilled of his students, she routinely left her opponents needing a drink after she was through with them. It was not much of a surprise when an unfamiliar face one afternoon turned out to run a local wrestling federation and wanted to offer her a contract. Samiya took remarkably little convincing.
After doing her time in Miami, Samiya was approached by LAW.
