Palm Reading: Lyra clasped hands with her opponent and puts a free hand to her head as if to read her opponent’s palm, but instead slaps her opponent’s head with her free palm.
Gateway to the Mystic Realm (Jackhammer): Lyra puts her opponent in a Suplex formation lifting them up high in the air upside down and then brings her body down on theirs as they return to the mat.
Finishers:
The Crystal Ball (Running Cannonball Splash): Lyra runs towards an opponent seated in the corner and curls up in a ball rolling into her opponent.
Tarot Reading (Pop-Up Powerbomb): Lyra whips her opponent in the ropes before lifting them up in the rebound catching them in a Powerbomb.
Orion Lock (Sharpshooter): Lyra closes her eyes signaling to the universe her request for an end. She grabs both of her opponent’s legs stepping through and crossing them turning her opponent over wrenching their legs.
Background:
Lyra always thought from a young age that she was destined to tell people about their future. She claims when she was 5, she started having visions of a mystical world shown to her from the universe and she had skills lent to her from a transparent guardian. These skills included excellent photographic memory, consistent palm reading, good sense of direction, contact with the universe, and many other incredible feats. Many people thought Lyra was crazy and should be locked up in a psych ward, but her parents thought differently. While they didn’t believe in this mystical realm she claimed to have seen, they simply thought she was gifted and should pursue her interests for a future career thus Lyra did not attend college after graduating high school.
Lyra opened up her own fortune teller station and many people came by to see for themselves what lied in their future. Others simply wanted to see what this girl could see and some just wanted to do it for the giggles. Lyra got nearly every prediction in people’s lives correct and when she got one wrong, Lyra would simply say she was misguided on some key points. People were impressed and Lyra made headlines in the local newspapers with people in the surrounding states coming to visit. This was an excellent monetary gain for her parents as they saved up money for Lyra in a separate bank account. With it, she got herself a car and a small apartment in order to live out on her own.
One fateful night, Lyra was told by her “visions” that she should attend a local wrestling show in town and when she did, Lyra claimed the universe told her this was her next calling. Lyra used money from the account in order to pay for wrestling training and promoters were interested in booking Lyra. This led her to meeting Jonathan Steele, a wrestler himself currently on hiatus at the time, and he agreed to help train Lyra for much bigger stages which led the two becoming good friends.
Being a modest celebrity in her hometown and the United States, Lyra wanted to expand her fortune telling ways and appeal to a wider audience. LAW scouts in America took notice of her and were impressed with her skills. Lyra signed a full contract with LAW and moved to Japan where she rented an apartment for the meantime. Lyra hopes to spread her cheerful fortunes and has a philosophy that she may not hold gold in this promotion, but Lyra wants to appease the universe by carrying out her matches in their vision.
Personality:
Lyra is kind and genuinely nice to all those she sees with not one bad bone in her body. Though she may be seen as a tad bit weird, Lyra treats nobody differently whether they are her dear friend or her greatest enemy. She claims the universe has told her to treat everyone equally and that grudges are only locks that hold no keyholes. However, Lyra gets serious when it comes to the ring and while she’s not ruthless, Lyra can be very coordinated. She will close her eyes before each match talking with the universe and claim to see a vision of the match in full scale accepting her win or loss as a result. The universe has her on a set path and it’s probably likely Lyra knows her whole chapter in LAW before it gets started.
Wrestling Skills:
Lyra wrestles a technical-based move set with a few aerial assaults in the works. Lyra wrestles based on visions brought to her by the universe and acts accordingly even to the extent she might offer herself up to her opponents for moves. Lyra simply wishes to see the visions through and please the universe. However, there might be times where Lyra herself might decide a better way is necessary and she says sometimes, the visions aren’t always accurate so this lets her get a little creative with her moves. Overall, Lyra is a force to reckoned with seemingly knowing moves before they happen, but she isn’t against going rogue from her visions.
