Backstory
Sumire Hagiwara herself had always been regarded as a pretty average woman. Good looking, athletic, nothing particularly lacking about her, but just nothing that was truly special. The most significant thing that anybody, including Sumire herself would say that she had done with her live was pass down her genes to one Sakura Hagiwara. Famed top idol in Japan turned champion pro wrestler (Sakura won the Berserk Doubles Belt alongside Misaki Toyoda and Sumire would never let anybody forget it). In general, the biggest things that happened in her life were more about her daughter than herself.
Once Sakura had gotten through the early struggles of her wrestling career and started being able to handle herself and win, Sumire found that she actually enjoyed her daughter as a wrestler more than as an idol. Wrestling excited Sumire in a way that idol performances didn't. So one day, she asked Sakura to teach her. It hadn't been anything serious. She just wanted to understand the sport more, spend some time with her daughter, and maybe have a couple mess around spars here and there. Then Sumire started kicking her daughter's butt. Not the Sakura Hagiwara who had lost over 50 matches in a row. The Sakura Hagiwara who had won a title at Berserk, moved to LAW, and was a very respected and capable wrestler within the promotion. That Sakura Hagiwara could not even come particularly close to beating her mother. Who for the record, had absolutely zero fighting or marital arts experience to this point.
That was when Sumire considered taking up wrestling for real. She sought out Sakura's mentor and former double's partner Misaki Toyoda for real wrestling training, and proved to be as much of a born natural as her initial experience with Sakura would suggest. A few months later, she was following her daughter's footsteps to join the world of pro wrestling.

Wrestler Bio
If Sumire had discovered her passion and talent for wrestling before hitting her prime, perhaps she might have become an unstoppable champion. But now, her body does have its limits, despite her ability. Sumire's body isn't as fast or as comfortable jumping around as it once had been when she'd play with her daughter as a child, so she's left with dangerous power, a suffocating ground game, and brick wall defense to get through matches.
