Texas was a wild place for a girl like Anansi. Too much imagination, vivid thoughts, a short temper and a desire to learn magic tricks, but a body that didn't quite seem to match what she wanted to do. You see, Anansi, born Katherine Summerhill, was a prisoner of her own body and mind always being at odds. Physically, she was strong, born with a unique muscular atrophy that allowed her.. everything, muscles, weight, booba, etc to grow at an abnormal rate. Calloused fingers, worked at a farm and wrangled many an animal without supervision. Ever headbutted a bull? She has! Thrice! And she was only concussed once- leading to her having some insane levels of endurance, able to work the fields for days. Mentally, she wanted to write, pour the stories of magicians and tricksters from her mind into paper.
But the issue? She was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD from a young age.
Now this can normally be overcome by tools in the modern age. Given a different upbringing, Katherine might have been an excellent writer. But alas, her parents and her schoolmates and friends all relegated to her as the "dumb" one, the one they never had to try with, feeding her scraps and making her the butt of jokes, which led to her retaliating with her fists (and getting hit with belts, baseball bats, fists, you name it!). She gave as good as she got, but she was useful so she was never kicked out, (she has a chipped tooth as a reminder). For a while, Katherine believed she was stupid too. For a long while, actually. She tried to make up for her lack of skills on her own, but it was.. hard. Very hard for her to concentrate and after a point, she gave up on it. Most of her childhood she played in the streams. Swimming was one of her only vices that she enjoyed, and she thought of it as a sacred act not to be interrupted by anyone.
So what changed?
She got a pet goldfish that only had one fin called Gustavo. Her siblings laughed at her, got it for her as a joke. That it was missing a fin, it was disabled like her.
Katherine loved it. The fish lived on, even though everyone expected it to die. She made herself read, she figured out a read aloud feature, she was determined to get facts about the goldfish species and take the best care of them all. In doing so, she made fast friends with a local wrestler in her area known as the Koi fish (she looked him up and thought he was a vet). Ended up going to his matches.. and getting trained for three years straight.
She took to it like a fish to water.
One day, she found out that her parents had lost the money she had been saving for schooling to gambling. They told her it was better wasted this way than give her false hopes.
She left the very next day, taking the LAW offer she had gotten from her mentor a while ago. Katherine Summers died that day. Anansi Von Damme, a name referencing a trickster god and a magician was what she picked, and her ring name? It honoured her beloved goldfish- the Great Goldfish!

Personality wise, she doesnt mince words. Easily frustrated, short fuse and rather sharp temper, the best thing you can say about Anansi is that she's honest to a fault. She tries her best at what she does, and she's good at what she does, but what she does isnt very pretty. She's nice to have around, helpful, fiercely protective and yet.. rather clumsy.
While she does have anger issues, she doesn't keep grudges for more than a day. Unless they spark it again. And usually all can be counted as forgiven with a sandwich or two.
WRESTLING INFO
Strengths and Strategy: Anansi is AMAZING at getting even the heaviest opponents off balance with her freakish strength and intense tackles. While her submissions arent the most complex, she's still pretty darn great at doing them with enough force to make even the most durable people squeal. On the flip side, her endurance and mimicry is amazing. She gets back up, over and over until she cant see out of her eyes, and she can mimic holds after seeing them once. More often than not she's makin someone tap with their own move.
Weaknesses: Weapon matches. She has some PTSD about belts, bats and the like in her childhood. She always felt they were unfair, but a chair or two is fair game. Overly complicated stuff is also a pain, and she very prone to getting herself disqualified and angry.
Preferred Matches: "Gee.. I dunno.. I've never thought about it."
Attitude towards Hentai: "W-well.. I'd at least like ta be treated like a proper lady and wooed before I get naked.. but if a bitch is askin for a fistin, a fistin is what they'll get!"

Trivia-
She loves food. She's a glutton, and can be reduced to an adorable little bugger from a maniac with a dumpling or two. She's almost always hangry and if you take her to dinner, she WILL drain your wallet.
She's unhygenic. Normally Anansi washed herself in the streams, but the last time she tried that in Japan she got screams. She's getting used to showers and baths but it's.. a process.
