Iris is most of all a positive person. She has faced her good share of adversity but she has done it with a smile on her face and the resolve to push forwards. She always tries to see the silver lining in any situation no matter how dire it looks and that made her a woman who’s so easy to be around since she will always try to give anyone a hand and help them see things other way. Always eager to meet a challenge, she pushes herself to her limits, but isn’t overly focused in results and winning and instead would rather leave a match with a loss but a cool friend than having a bitter victory on her score. She’s bubbly and energetic but without being overwhelming, she’s just too happy to be here and she isn’t afraid of showing it.
Past/History:
Iris was born the second daughter of a second generation Greek-American family. Her parents were a little bit conservative so in some ways they tried too hard to get control over Iris’ behaviour, trying to shape her personality and her future career, but they were never pushy enough for the situation to escalate out of control. While her sister played with dolls, Iris made them wrestle and fight. When her sis would come home prim and perfect Iris’ hair would look like a mess and her knees would always be bruised when she tried some crazy antic playing outside. But in the end most of the times Iris came home bruised it was because she had been preventing her sister from getting into trouble, so the fact that Iris was a rebel but always put her family’s well-being first helped them get convinced that even being an oddball, their daughter had a good heart, because that was exactly the truth.
The woman started having some training in gymnastics, but despite her having some talent she didn’t really like it. Her parents almost had a heart attack when on a whim she quit the gymnastics club and joined a grecho-roman wrestling one. In a way Iris was connecting with her Greek roots with this, but she was mainly seeking for thrills.
Once she was a fully-grown woman some setback struck her family: her father became sick and couldn’t keep working anymore, so they had to survive with whatever her mother’s job got to their account. Seeing how her sister wanted to go to college, Iris knew it was time for her to do something. Without her parents knowing she got a job at a night club, where she would wrestle other women while wearing few clothing. Sometimes the matches were openly hentai, some they were more about showing some skin, but most of the times Iris pummeled the ground with her rivals thanks to her background experience. She started working as a session wrestler as well, getting some private shows in order to bring that money back home, and it paid well. She knew her family wouldn’t approve but she didn’t care and kept going with it since in the end she was doing what she loved.
Life wasn’t that bad for Iris: she had a stable job and was providing for her family while she did what she loved. When one fateful day a LAW scouter noticed her and gave her the offer of joining the league Iris almost jumped in surprise. She had been following LAW for some time, but never dared to dream of joining there. Well, turns out some undreamed dreams can come true.
