BACKGROUND:

Emily was born into a wealthy family in Sussex that, while ostensibly English, had numerous ties to Scottish aristocracy, along with plenty of property in Scotland itself. Her mother often regaled her with tales of how their family stretched all the way back to medieval times, and that their ancestors were proud knights who rode across the land, righting wrongs and protecting the innocent. The stories thrilled young Emily, and while the expectation was that she would one day grow up to be a lady, she really wanted to be a knight just like in the tales.

Life would quickly become much more strange for Emily, though, as one day the family learned that they had acquired a manor in Scotland from a deceased relative. As such, the family moved to Edinburgh, into the large old manor with its archaic halls and fussy servants. Life growing up in Scotland was initially a source of confusion for poor Emily: her family sent her to one of the best private schools in the city, and she got as fine an education as anyone of her class could receive. All the same, Emily always felt awkward being a sole English girl living in a Scottish city, and the other girls in her class never failed to remind her of the fact. For two long years, Emily endured mockery behind her back, then cruel practical jokes, and then outright bullying from the other girls. In desperation, Emily tried to fit in as best she could by gradually mimicking and absorbing the Scottish accent in her every day use. Unfortunately, that only made her bullies go after her harder, for what they saw as a mockery of their accent.

Then, finally, one day, Emily had enough. Whilst in the school's courtyard at lunch, Emily saw her usual bullies pestering one of her other classmates. Without any further hesitation, Emily strode up and demanded that the larger girls let her classmate go. When the bullies jeered at her to "Go 'back wae ye spot from, wee cunt," Emily exploded into action. In the ensuing fight, while Emily took numerous ugly bruises, she ended up severely battering all three of the other girls and sending them running. After that incident, all of the other girls at Emily's school treated her with much more respect, and she even earned more than a few lasting friends.

It was perhaps because of this incident that Emily quickly became attracted to fighting sports like boxing and wrestling. She started to work out as she grew older, and after her first year of undergrad, she took a chance and joined a wrestling circuit, much to the chagrin of her parents. Emily didn't care for their opinion at that point, though, for she had found something that she truly loved doing. After fighting in numerous British circuits, Emily then travelled to Japan, where she entered into the noteworthy all-female Wrestle Angels federation. In Japan, she fought in numerous matches, gaining a mixed record, but also gaining substantial fame in the wrestling community and a reputation as an unrelenting Face. Her time with Wrestle Angels were some of the best years of her life, and she developed many healthy rivalries and lasting friendships with her fellow superstars.

A few years afterher contract with Wrestle Angels had come to a close, Emily recieved an offer to join LAW, a new federation which many former Wrestle Angels wrestlers had already moved to. While Emily was initially apprehensive about LAW-- for more than a few famously risque matches had been hosted by that league-- she was never one to turn down a challenge, and so she signed on to AFW to continue her wrestling career.

SKILLS:

Slams and Throws- Emily's powerful build, and her background in British strong style, means that she is quite adept at delivering slams and throws to devastating effect on her opponents.
Technical Skill- Emily is a skilled technician, having learned much from her time in the British and Japanese circuits. Her love of the more classical styles of wrestling play into this a lot, and she will happily trade holds back and forth with her opponent, engaging in a steady dance of hold and counter-hold.
Strikes- While Emily is not exactly known for her speed, when she does resort to striking she can do so with devastating effect, whether it be clocking an opponent with a haymaker or stunning them with a boot to the midsection.
Submissions- Emily is well trained in submission moves, and while she prefers to rely on devastating slams and throws to carry the day, she is not above using her impressive stretch to try to stretch a submission out of an opponent either.

PREFERRED MATCH TYPES: Standard pro-style matches, though Emily will also do tag team matches. On occasion, Emily might also concede to do a more unusual match, such as a hardcore, hell in a cell or falls count anywhere bout, but in general Emily always prefers a good, clean fight in a standard prostyle match.

ATTITUDE TO HENTAI: "NAE. An' that means 'no' in plain English, just so ye know."

FAVOURITE MOVES:
Emily likes to use a variety of leg holds on her opponent, such as scissors, figure fours and STFs, though she has also been known to use a variety of sleepers and chokes (and by extension, chokeslams)

The Highlander (submission finisher)-
Essentially a ceiling hold, Emily ensures that her opponent is face down, and, after grabbing her wrists and interlocking their legs, will fall onto her back to lift her opponent into the air, stretching at her limbs and back all the while. Emily will then keep her opponent lifted this hold until they submit

Clan Nelson
Emily slides her arms under her opponents armpits and behind their head in a full nelson. Once she does this, she manouvers them onto their front and traps their legs with her own, essentially putting them in a modified STF/full nelson.

Nelson Caber-
A sheerdrop brainbuster; Emily will lock her opponent in a forward headlock, grab their thigh, and, lifting her opponent up so that her body is completely vertical, will then drop down to slam her opponent head-first into the mat. Emily will sometimes use a modified version of this hold, in which she lifts her opponent into a vertical position, climbs onto the bottom rope, and springs off it for an accelerated head-first slam. Usually, this will leave her opponent to stunned to resist the ensuing pinfall.

PERSONALITY:
Although she is a little bit on the arrogant side-- something that inevitably came from her aristocratic upbringing-- Emily's proud attitude is tempered by a strong sense of sportsmanship and a love of a good challenge. Emily admires opponents who fight fairly and try their best, and she sees no shame in losing to a good opponent. On the other hand, she utterly detests cheaters, rulebreakers, or opponents who lack common courtesy, and she usually makes a point not only of defeating heel wrestlers, but also punishing them for their behaviour. It is because of this that Emily has earned the nickname "the Noble Fighter" back in Wrestle Angel.

QUIRKS AND FUN FACTS:
-Emily will usually speak in a plain, refined English accent, but the more stressed she becomes the more her Scottish accent will take over. While she considers herself English by birth, she proudly considers herself Scottish by adoption
-Despite the Scottish stereotype, Emily is actually a lightweight when it comes to holding her liquor
