Characteristics
Physical Appearance: Very muscular pinkette with an eternal look of confidence
Personality: There are few people who would call Ikumi a friend, though despite her rough demeanor, she is an incredibly loyal woman who holds her promises no matter what, providing help whenever anyone needs.
Other people will see an incredibly greedy, rough, rude individual who taunts and beats her way through competition. She might say “nothing personal”, but uses every advantage she can find, physical or psychological, to get ahead in the ring and outside of it. It’s not unnatural for her to go to ringside specifically for the reason that she could deal more damage there.
She is a woman who rarely would listen to someone she doesn’t know or dislikes, unless there was money involved, contributing to her greedy, mercenary nature…
Past/History:
another long one lol
Ikumi Murakami was born to a poor family, barely scrapping by as her parents were constantly within jobs, unable to keep a stable income for long. The girl grew up kind and loving, helping her parents whenever she could, and whenever she had a free moment, would spend her time in front of the TV, watching wrestling. She grew up on the tales of men and women putting their bodies on the line for the sake of victory and fame.
This influenced her choice of clubs at school, wanting to go more into sports and combat than the more intellectual subjects. Her love of sports proved positive to her muscle growth, already having well pronounced muscles as a teen, easily able to overpower all of the boys in her class. She grew up a tomboy, though at school had a mix of boys and girls as friends.
Once she turned 16, Ikumi, with limited success in most her classes but good success in boxing and wrestling clubs, decided to commit to being a pro wrestler, seeing the job as a potential way to make a solid bit of money to help her family going forward, and hopefully, provide them with better living. She started training with UJW (Ultimate Joshi Wrestling), slowly getting experience before debuting at the age of 18.
Her proficiency in sports and experience in wrestling and boxing translating well to help her achieve success in the sport, getting her first title, UJW’s rookie belt, at the age of 18, not too long after her in ring debut. The belt, however, got her into a feud with a slightly older rookie who has been training for a year longer by the name of Moe Suzuki.
The two fought multiple times throughout their early careers, actively trading the UJW Junior belt, with each woman one upping the other with new moves in each match, Moe developing into a high flying, quick style, while Ikumi’s strength and strikes got harder and harder.
After a year of trading the belt, Moe, as a champion, was over the cut off point for the belt, and wanting to defend it one final time against Ikumi, the two women fought in their match one last time before Ikumi came out victorious. She vacated the belt, however, citing that she had no wish to stay as a rookie if Moe was going to go forward in her career. In addition, with UJW having their upcoming Tag League Tournament, Ikumi asked Moe to be her tag partner, with the white haired girl taking her rival up on the offer.
The tag team, Sakura Blossom, would find good success in the league, and would manage to make their way to the finals! Sadly, they would lose right at the end to a veteran tag team, though everyone, the promotion and wrestling world at large, would note the great chemistry the two, now former rivals had.
As a tag team, the duo would regularly travel together, growing closer as friends…and eventually, Moe would ask whether they were something a bit more to each other. Both women harbored loving feelings for each other, and shortly after Ikumi’s 20th birthday, the two officially became girlfriends.
For a while, the duo actively continued to wrestle, both in Japan and worldwide, both as a tag team, and occasionally as rivals, Ikumi getting enough money to help get her family to a better life as she expected. Everything was great for the pinkette for a good while…
…right up until Moe fell ill.
At first, Moe didn’t let it slow her down, but after a particularly tiring tag match, the white haired woman…simply fell unconscious on the spot, the match immediately being called off then and there. Ikumi would put the situation down as fatigue, before suddenly helping put out a press release that Moe was going to be retiring from wrestling. The world was abuzz, unknown of what was happening, with only a few people privy to information.
Moe’s disease was genetic, severely weakening her immune system, leaving her bedridden. She stubbornly tried to showcase that she was fine, but week by week, the disease developed further and further, straining her body more and more, to the point of her being barely able to walk more than a few seconds without her body aching and her getting out of breath. Ikumi would become sheltered and unfriendly during this time in both UJW and outside of it, weeping in her house as her girlfriend, once a fierce warrior, was completely defeated by a freak chance.
Worse was hope that things could get better for them. Moe’s illness was expensive to keep at bay, and a contract from a big promotion in US would present itself to Ikumi…only for the offer to be pulled for little reason other than “company politics”, the offer replaced by one of being a trainer for substantially less money. In addition, UJW has hit the ceiling in what they were able to pay her, with the paycheck barely able to cover the money required for the treatments Moe needed…
Moe and Ikumi both did some calculations, and through a few other friends privy to Ikumi’s condition, the pinkette decided to leave UJW, going fully freelance. Needing to showcase how serious she was about going freelance, she went overseas to Absolute Women’s Wrestling (AW2), one of the biggest women indies, and won their title in her appearance in the company…
…before declaring that she was only accepting challenges from the belt if her challengers or the company were willing to pay good bit of fees.
In addition, the same week, she opened up her website: Pink Ronin. Besides merch, wrestlers could sign a contract with Ikumi to act as a mercenary to take down a particular rival before a difficult match. With her power proven by her continuing to defeat major contenders in big money (both literally and figuratively) matches, the service became quite popular, and Ikumi started to get fame as one of the hottest free agents in wrestling.
And eventually, her eyes fell on a growing company in a form of LAW.
