Vasylna's early life was less than perfect, with her mother passing away from complications during childbirth and her father falling into an alcoholic depression and losing his job due to the passing. After taking some less than legitimate loans in order to make ends meet and subsequently being subjected to beatings and threats of further harm, her father decided to flee with Vasylna to the states to start a new life. Things didn't get much better for young Vasylna there as she was still in poverty and now living in a country where she couldn't speak a word of the language. School days were filled with relentless bullying and home life brought no respite despite her father doing his best to provide for them which in turn caused him to be mostly absent from her life.
One day a student noticed Vasylna sitting alone in the cafeteria and offered her some food, leading to a great friendship. Vasylna spent every day with her "big sister" and late into high school after her friend got into wrestling Vasylna followed suit due to a one sided "sibling" rivalry. She found that she had a talent for it, but at the same time the combat brought out a sadistic side of her that she didn't know she had. The two girls both became professional wrestlers and rivals and after a couple years of facing the same opponents, Vasylna wanted to face new competition, leading her to join LAW
