Patricia is the scion of the Corticarte family, which owns the Corticarte Conglomerate. From an early age, Patricia was groomed to one day take over the Corticarte Conglomerate. As such, Patricia did not have much of a childhood. Rather than having a carefree childhood with relatively few responsibilities, Patricia was somewhat isolated, being forced to train relentlessly to prepare for her eventual life: accelerated education paired with rigorous language and business training meant that she was often too busy to form many meaningful connections with others.
Her parents, despite rarely taking a direct role in raising Patricia, had high expectations for her---expectations that Patricia would exceed, seemingly with ease. On the surface, Patricia seemed like the perfect heir: talented, motivated, and driven. But what her parents failed to realize was that Patricia had not internalized her motivation.
Instead, the external expectations that were foisted onto Patricia served as her motivation throughout life as she felt it was her duty to meet those expectations. Patricia embraced the expectation that she take over the Corticarte Conglomerate and bear children to inherit CortiCon in the future, but did not have much intrinsic desire to work towards those goals.
Throughout her childhood and teenage years, Patricia felt the pressure of those expectations and silently suffered. Yet, she nonetheless stayed away from bad behavior, which affluent children can sometimes be prone to. During that trip, Patricia showed her former teammates a different side of her. No longer was she the untouchable heir to the Corticarte Conglomerate---instead, she was Patricia, a normal girl who just wanted to have fun. Her former teammates were initially shocked seeing this side of Patricia. However, between her affable personality and stunning good looks, she was quickly accepted by the others.
Facilitated in part by the unsupervised nature of the trip, the group began to drink and party as if the apocalypse were due for the next day. And with inhibitions lowered, the group slowly began to fall into promiscuous behavior. Patricia, under pressure to fit in, eventually caved and participated as well.
After the trip concluded, Patricia spent much of the remaining summer continuing the same behavior that she had started on the Maldives trip. Drinking and sex, in that order, seemingly became her mantra. Eventually, Partricia's new lifestyle came crashing down when she totaled her Lamborghini in a fit of drunk driving. Soon afterwards, a paparazzi released pictures showing the scion of the Corticarte Conglomerate, Patricia, drinking and partying in the Maldives. Prior to Patricia's disownment, Patricia's parents held quite a lot of trust in Patricia. As such, they gave her control over a miniscule fraction of the Corticarte family's assets as preparation for Patricia eventually taking over the entire Corticarte Conglomerate. That "miniscule fraction" was still quite substantial, considering that both the Corticarte family and the Corticarte Conglomerate are both worth hundreds of billions of dollars.
