Everything seemed to add up in Selket's favor. If she'd landed just a story off, there was no way she would be able to catch up to Astrid so quickly - and enacting her vengeance would be far harder a task. Now, though, it was only a matter of time before Astrid looked up from the water fountain to find Selket looming over her shoulder - and in her mind, it only added to the air the Egyptian had acquired. Astrid wasn't facing any ordinary opponent any more. She could be convinced that she was looking at an invincible demon, and she was going to need to do everything she could against her, fighting as though it were for her life!

As soon as Selket was upon her, the world around Astrid fell away. She let herself be lost in a flurry of activity - the challenger's blows were coming from every direction, and she could barely predict what would come next, or from what direction. Astrid's only option was to ride the wave, and she too began throwing everything she could at Selket - punches, kicks, knees, elbows. She felt Selket bite at her face, and she winced from the pain, but rather than let that hold her back, she simply slammed her skull against the Priestess's own in an attempt to hit her back just as hard. Everything Selket did to Astrid, the Norsewoman would just have to return fire!

But just as quickly as it started, it all came to a crashing halt. Quite literally, as Astrid was sent through the window, back into the arena below! As the dust cleared, the Heavyweight Champion lay on the walkway, her chest slowly rising and falling with labored pants, and with broken glass scattered all around her. With the action pausing for just a few short seconds, Astrid had time to catch her breath, just long enough for the adrenaline to fade. At once, she winced and shuddered, the aches and pains once again taking hold of her; as she began to rise from the walkway, the shifting of her body only awakened further stinging sensations, and she grabbed at her arm to dull them. But Astrid knew it wasn't over yet. She looked back up, and Selket was still there, unmistakably ready to strike! No matter how much it hurt, Astrid couldn't let it be over!

If the fans had been wowed by Astrid going flying through the glass, what happened next would only energize them even further. Throwing fear aside, Selket came next, hurling herself over the edge to follow after the champion! If her aim was just a little off, Selket could easily have come crashing into the ground from a great height. But that didn't even seem to bother her - not when Astrid was in her way!

The Norsewoman had begun to rise to her feet, but when she looked up to see Selket careening toward her, she gasped just as much as anyone else watching. The Egyptian's daring truly knew no bounds; she was willing to do anything in pursuit of the title! But then, Astrid reminded herself, she couldn't concede to Selket's psychological warfare - and the bravado she showed was just as much a threat as any other. She'd tried to outfox her with her mind games before, and Astrid had triumphed over her nonetheless. She couldn't stop that now. Selket couldn't win this time!

Finding her strength out of desperation, Astrid shoved herself back up straight, fixing a glare on her foe. Her fists balled tightly, and her muscles went tense in anticipation of when she'd put them to use. As Selket came nearer, Astrid reached out to grab her, looking to snatch her out of the air before she made impact. And if that worked...she would turn to bodyslam her right onto the broken glass!

Re: Astrid Ostberg (c) vs Selket - Falls Count Anywhere Match for the LAW Heavyweight Championship Match

The stakes and consequences of the match between Selket and Astrid had seemingly risen along with the two competitors as they ascended the arena. Down every corridor, up flights of cold hard stairs, into a overlook over the first floor of the arena, things just kept escalating and getting more severe in every way possible. In multiple ways this was no longer just a match between two women for a belt. No it was a battle. A blood thirsty exchange over the ideals and desires of the two competing in it.

Astrid of course represented the ambivalent light, a face everyone could supposedly be proud of and root for, the reigning and defending champion. Selket meanwhile represented a all consuming darkness, no rules, no ideals except what suited her machinations, an invader ready to destroy Astrid and everything she stood for. Just for her own glory and self satisfaction. Nothing more and nothing less. The match so far had reflected that with Astrid being on the back foot thanks to Selket and her tricks and tactics, while Astrid's stubbornness and nobility kept the woman in the bout, gradually fracturing Selket's mask in the process.

Now the two women found themselves at the edge of a precipice, literally. Battling at the highest height they could reach within the arena both Astrid and Selket had devolved from wrestlers to something more akin to gladiators. Two women dead set on beating the other within a inch of their life it it meant achieving victory! It was obvious by way of the two's vicious strikes, attempts at biting one another, everything Astrid and Selket were doing was pure savagery with the intention of hurting the other and winning!

But Selket, as shown countless times in the match so far, took things a step further first. Turning on her feel she swung Astrid sending the champion clear through a window! Granted Selket wouldn't have to worry about murder charges today as despite the fall Astrid had landed on a catwalk below, in turn insuring that the bout would continue. Something that Selket was keen on doing when, after making sure there was still a champion to pin, she would turn and daringly leap off the balcony and down below, attempting to land a soaring moonsault on her opponent!

Most heavyweights strayed away from aerial maneuvers, in fact one could count their luck if they say a heavyweight take to the air for even a simple move like a frog splash. Selket however was no ordinary heavyweight. She was physically strong yes. But not as much as others. As a trade off however she was far more nimble and athletic than most, able to do feats off the ropes that belied her size and weight class. This wasn't the first time she took to the air, but even for experienced high flyers this was a dangerous, near death defying stunt.

So as she came down Selket knew there were risks. But those extended mainly to the possibility of Astrid moving or raising her knees up. However the Egyptian never once considered the possibility of being caught out of the air by Astrid. "WHAT!?" Shouting in a mix of frustration, shock, and even a degree of fear, Selket was helpless, swinging her legs around in the air futilely before she was thrown down into the hard steel and sharp glass below! "AGHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Screaming in both agony and fury from the drop Selket writhed and thrashed around on the catwalk, unwittingly cutting and gashing herself on the glass. But the pain in her spine from the impact left her no other instinctive choice but to thrash and move around on the mat!

The Astrid who had taken to the ring in her last title defense, or even the one at the start of this match, would never have stooped to the tactics she was using now. But this was different. Selket was an opponent more dangerous and more fearsome than many Astrid had ever faced before, and the Norsewoman knew she would stop at nothing to take her out of the picture - not even throwing her through a window and sending her to fall a hair-raising height was off limits for her, as her actions moments ago had proven. Astrid wanted to play fair, and to uphold good sportsmanship and the code of wrestling. But Astrid wasn't in a match any more. She and Selket were in a pitched battle, and it was one that not even Astrid was sure would end until one of them was lying bleeding out on the floor - or worse. If she kept trying to play by the rules, she wouldn't stand a chance. However reluctantly, Astrid still knew what she needed to do.

And what was more, she was staring danger right in the face - as Selket jumped down from the ledge, hurtling closer! Astrid knew that it was do or die, perhaps more literally than she wanted. She was sore, and her body was heavy and weary. Her shoulders trembled as her chest rose and fell with labored gasps. But she couldn't stop now. Selket was coming right for her, and the very notion was enough to make her wince. Not just for how much it'd hurt when she made impact, but for the thought that she stood a chance of losing the belt to such a woman - a woman who had no respect for honor, who would just as gladly cheat a stronger foe out of a match if it meant holding onto the title. The thought of someone like her bearing the title of champion was not one Astrid wished to entertain. She couldn't let it happen! And when the adrenaline took hold, and Astrid forced herself to her feet, she wasn't just fighting to get back at Selket, or to protect herself - but to ensure that the LAW Heavyweight Championship wouldn't fall into the wrong hands!

Her body no longer ached as she got her feet under her, and she lifted herself to her feet. In a burst of energy she reached out and caught Selket in mid-descent, snatching the Egyptian out of the air. The sight drew a few gasps and cheers - Selket was no small woman, but Astrid was too fueled by her own determination to let that get to her! Bellowing with a righteous fury, Astrid turned to hurl the Priestess straight down onto the glass, where she landed with a clang. And while that was enough to send Selket writhing in pain...Astrid knew she could go so much farther. And Selket deserved every bit of it!

Raising a knee, Astrid went to drop herself down on top of the challenger, driving her knee into her stomach. "What's the matter?" she shouted. "Is this not the fight you wanted?" Punctuating each word, she drew back her fists, letting them fly straight for Selket's face to knock her head this way and that. "I'm happy to give it to you!" Being on the end of a ground-and-pound from Astrid Ostberg was bad enough - but this time, Selket was taking it on top of broken glass!

Re: Astrid Ostberg (c) vs Selket - Falls Count Anywhere Match for the LAW Heavyweight Championship Match

Unread post by Bare »

Selket was a woman that desired power and power alone more than anything and everything. Such a desire came out of a love for her goddess, a goddess who she viewed as inhabiting her... As such Selket loved herself more than anything. That vanity and desire for power proved a dangerous mix, creating a woman that would do whatever it takes to win. No matter how much she had to lie, cheat, manipulate or fight to get it. Everything else was secondary over her own desire, in this case the LAW Heavyweight championship. Selket would win it no matter what. Even if she had to send her opponent to the hospital or go there herself that title would be hers! These were the thoughts flood Selket's brain like a sandstorm, keeping her motivated despite the pain she herself was in.

So with such dark thoughts in mind it was clear that following Astrid's tumble onto the catwalk that Selket wouldn't do the rational thing. No anyone that caught her expression as she looked down on the beaten, and now cut up champion resting on a bed of broken glass below could tell that Selket had bad intentions in her venomous gaze. So with a turn and after a brief of moment of pause to build suspension Selket would leap backwards, performing what may very well go down in LAW history as one of the most death defying stunts in the promotions years of women. Especially amongst the heavyweight wrestlers of the company. Selket was making it clear here and now if it wasn't already that she would have the heavyweight title at all costs, even if it meant her own body!

But that pause Selket had taken before performing the moonsault, the one for dramatic effect was also for her own recovery, a moment to brace her body and prepare for what was about to happen.. But that applied for her opponent just as much as herself. So when Selket leaped backwards off the ledge for the moonsault she found herself caught in the grasp of a now risen Astrid and before Selket had the chance to slip her way out of the precarious position she was instead thrown down, slamming into the glass and steel of the catwalk below!

Screaming in pain from this Selket was stunned and left writing on the catwalk in agnony! But the bodyslam was quickly proven to only be the start of Astrid's revenge. Before she was left with so much as a chance to compose herself Astrid had kneeled on Selket, holding her down while the champion began raining blows down upon her from above! "AGH! UGH! NGH!" Grunting and crying out in pain from the blows Selket was forced to take them, her face quickly getting busting open in her lips, nose and above her eyebrow! In turn multiples and and tears in both her skin and outfit were created by the shards of glass!

But despite the humbling position she was in Selket was just as ruthless and cruel as ever. "SILENCE!" She would scream, one of her hands grabbing a handful of glass at her side. They stung and made blood spring from her palms but it would be worth it. Beceause as Astrid winded up another punch Selket would suddenly throw the glass upwards, right at Astrid's face to hopefully blind the woman!

Selket had no qualms whatsoever about risking serious injury in jumping backward off the ledge - not as long as it meant she stood a chance of taking Astrid down, and securing the Heavyweight Championship in the process. At the sight of her bravado, even the Norwegian herself was intimidated into a shocked silence for a few brief seconds. How, she asked herself, could she ever hope to compete with an opponent so fearless, who cared so little about endangering herself?

But Astrid knew she couldn't let that get to her. This, too, was one of the weapons in Selket's psychological arsenal, and one that she couldn't let control her if she wanted to hold onto her title and her reputation. Now more than ever, everything was depending on her finding the strength she needed to fight back. And in one burst of adrenaline, that strength returned to her, propelling her forward to jump to her feet and grab Selket in the middle of her descent...and then to slam her down hard onto the walkway, broken glass and all!

The brutality of Astrid's measures caused a few of the fans to wince. The cameras were broadcasting the brawl from the second story looking down, but as other cameras came up the stairs to the walkway to get a closer look, the true fury Astrid was unleashing on the challenger was apparent. Her teeth were clenched in a snarl, and even as Selket's face grew bruised and bloodied, she didn't let up her assault, raining punches down on her hard and fast. Selket had gone too far, and Astrid wasn't going to hold back!

What finally broke through her efforts was when Selket picked up some broken glass from the floor, and threw it straight into the Norsewoman's eyes! Astrid had already drawn back a fist, but it halted in midair, as everything changed. Suddenly, her entire face hurt, as a thousand microscopic daggers pierced her skin. She cried out in pain, falling back off of Selket as she began writhing on her back, clutching her face. At the same time, her legs flailed in the air, sending kicks in Selket's direction. Even now, Astrid had no intentions of letting her opponent get far unscathed!

Selket would never, ever admit it, especially not to the woman above her, but she was desperate, and maybe even a bit scared. Astrid was atop her and furious at that. The blonde woman's fists raining down on her like the flames of ragnarok and there was precious little things Selket could do to properly defend herself from the onslaught. Well precious few things that were fair or legal. But luckily for her this was a match type that favored her preference for... less than reputable tactics.

So Selket grabbed a handful of glass that had broken from the window Astrid had been put through, and she threw it directly into her opponent's eyes! It was a cheap tactic she knew, but frankly Selket could care less. All she cared about was destroying Astrid and if that meant blinding the woman with sharp shard of glass then so be it. Luckily the move was successful in both blinding and stopping the woman dead in her tracks, preventing her from raining down more blows upon the downed Egyptian.

With her fists at least. "UGH! OW! DAMMIT!" Cursing loudly in response to Astrid wildly kicking her Selket quickly rolled away from the woman's bucking behind. Of course this meant dragging herself through the glass making Selket wince in pain as she stood up. More than a few new cuts having formed over her as she glared down at the flailing Astrid. "I'm going to make you pay..." She hissed out in a low tone... before smirking as a twisted idea entered her mind.

Reaching down Selket snatched one of Astrid's flailing legs out of the air. Then if able to avoid Astrid's other limb Selket would start walking backwards, dragging Astrid with her... and over the remainder of the broken glass in the process! "HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT HUH?!" The princess would ask as she pulled Astrid forcefully through the glass, no doubt causing multiple new lacerations on the champion, as well as the general roughness of the steel underneath the woman. It wa clear at this point all bets were off, something Selket would emphasize after dragging Astrid to the end of the walkway, releasing the champions leg before lifting her own, aiming to land a brutal stomp to the woman's head!

Astrid barely gave any thought to what she was doing, or where she was aiming. All that mattered was that she was fighting for her own survival, tossing her body from side to side and kicking with her legs to keep Selket off of her. In the process, she cut herself further on the broken glass, but for Astrid, that was a small price to pay when it came to holding off what was sure to be an even worse fate at Selket's hands.

Either way, Selket was thrown off, but barely any time passed before she snared her opponent by the leg to drag her through the glass. The Norsewoman screamed in pain as her body rolled over the shards, her eyes squeezing tightly shut to protect herself as her hands wrapped into tightly-clenched fists. Selket would only let her go when they came to the end of the walkway, just overlooking the jumbotron - and even then, only to deliver a hard stomp onto Astrid's head!

"KYAAAHH..!!" She cried out in pain, a shudder going through her whole body off the force of the strike and rattling the walkway beneath, before Astrid settled into a quivering heap, rolling face-down on the cold steel. A few of the ringside paramedics followed the camera crew up onto the walkway, where they pushed past them and closer to the action to check the Norwegian in case she was seriously hurt. "Are you okay? Can you still see-?"

For a moment, there was a pause, a silence filled only by groans. But then Astrid answered them without saying a word. She lifted one hand from the ground, beckoning them to stay back. Blood trickled down her face, now coming from an array of other cuts around her eyes. Her eyes watered as she looked up and locked her gaze on Selket. Her head was throbbing, and her teeth were clenched. But even if it hurt, Astrid wouldn't let it hold her back. As long as she could still rise, as long as she could still stand on two feet, Astrid was still going to fight as hard as she could - just to make sure Selket didn't get to sully the title with her name!

Pushing off the ground, Astrid rose to her feet, huffing and gasping, but still staring Selket in the eye. "This...isn't over!" she roared, charging in to close the distance, as she drew her arm back to deliver a chop across her opponent's chest!

Selket smiled sadistically as the ring side medics made their way up to herself and her opponent, forcing her to take a few steps away from her opponent. Something Selket obliged to with a smile and raised hands to show she wouldn't attack. After all in Selket's mind why would she? Glass in the eyes and that stomp to the head should be enough to to keep Astrid down for the remainder of the bout. The culmination of those two moves, the drag through the glass, and everything else Selket had hit the woman with over the course of their match should have been enough to keep the woman down once and for all, regardless if Astrid wanted to quit or not.

Smirking and leaning against the railing of the catwalk Selket looked out at the crowd and held her hand out, as if she were a queen greeting her subject, and in Selket's mind she may as well have been. To her victory was right within her fingertips, she just needed the refs to say that Astrid either couldn't continue or give the ok for Selket to finish the job, either way.. She WON! Looking back over at the refs and medics that were desperately trying to get an answer from Astrid the Egyptian woman couldn't help but keep from running her mouth. "Save yourself some dignity little drengr and maybe, just maybe I'll give you a rematch when I'm champ!" She would call out to the woman in a mocking tone, boasting with sheer pride at her effectiveness in the bout so far.

Yet... whether it was all of Astrid's willpower alone or had Selket unintentionally motivated the woman with her boast it was hard to tell. But without ever giving a clear answer to the medics Astrid managed to force herself up to her feet, eyes red and watery, cuts and gashes littering the woman's body... yet she was still standing. A sight that caused Selket's eyes to narrow dangerously, the gold on her outfit tainted with blood itself, both a mix of her own and Astrid's. It caused the light reflecting off the metallic material to cast an ominous shade over Selket's eyes, amplifying her already dangerous and petrifying stare. Gritting her teeth softly and clenching the metal railing tightly Selket glared at Astrid with nothing short of utter contempt.

"Fine. Toss away what's left of your pride with you're body. It will be your choice." Selket said in a low, venomous tone. Something that sent shivers down the ref and medics, causing them to back off unintentionaly, giving the remainder of the catwalk to the two heavy weights. Despite her words however Selket knew her own body was near its limits, and that if she were to end this it was now or never. Luckily she had an advantage. While the ref and medics had been checking on the blonde woman Selket had the opportunity to rest, recover, even if slightly, but it was precious minutes more than what Astrid had had as she struggled just to get to her feet. This meant that if she had a chance to end this... it was now or never.

So as Astrid came charging in, arm raised up, Selket would be quick to act. Lashing out like a cobra she would lunge forward, ducking low to avoid Astrid's arm while turning sharply on her heel to push Astrid in the back, hoping to give her the extra bit of momentum the blonde would need to lose control and chop her hand into the steel railing! If the sleight of hand managed to work than Selket wold move in, like a jackal to easy prey. Hands coming down on Astrid's hair, holding it tightly as she lifted the blonde's head back. "Just! Give! Up" She would roar, flinging Astrid's head into the railing, pulling back and then repeating with each word to try and inflict as much as pain as possible to Astrid to leave her unable to come up with a response for what would come next.

If the face bashing into the rails was successful and uninterrupted then Selket would turn, dropping low and curling a arm around Astrid's thigh while her other arm would try to wrap around the woman's neck. If successful Selket would pull Astrid down onto her shoulders while pushing herself up to her feet, attempting to haul Astrid up and off her feet in preparation for her finishing move Anubis's Burial, a action that she normally did to send already defeated opponent's crashing to the floor below the ring.. But as Selket walked, Astrid's weight on her shoulders and all... it was clear what she intended... She approached the end of the catwalk that overlooked the entrance ramp, the end of the stage specifically.. The fans immediately began chanting HOLY SHIT amidst a myriad of cheers, boos, and pleads for Astrid's safety as Selket prepared to cast the reigning champion over the railing and into the stage below!

Re: Astrid Ostberg (c) vs Selket - Falls Count Anywhere Match for the LAW Heavyweight Championship Match

Unread post by CaptainL »

Most women wouldn't be able to stand up after half of what Astrid had been through in this match. But Astrid wasn't most women. She was the Heavyweight Champion, and one who had become well known for her feats of endurance. She had been able to triumph in the ring, in LAW and on the indies, not only through her strength, but in her capabilities to withstand damage that would have brought others to their knees. And when Astrid was listening to Selket's taunts all the while, belittling her and tearing her down, trying to worm into her head and prove to her that she couldn't stand up to her foe...she was even more determined to force herself back up, just to prove her wrong!

Astrid was bleeding from multiple cuts. Her body was blotched with bruises, and she panted for breath with each step she took. But she was back on her feet - and when she locked eyes on her opponent, her brow furrowed and her teeth clenched. She wouldn't dare back down now. Not after all they'd been through. This battle had begun, and Astrid was determined to see it through to the finish.

She didn't care about her pride any more. Already, she had tested the limits of her moral code with the amount of underhanded moves she had been forced to use against Selket, and she had to bear the shame of being booed for it. But Astrid no longer cared. Selket was a bigger threat to her than any shame ever could be. She had done what she had to, but Selket would be worse. She wouldn't hold back. Selket would sully the championship, and what it meant to Astrid, if it were to fall into her hands. At all costs, Astrid couldn't let that happen! That was what filled her thoughts, as she charged toward the Egyptian with a battle cry, her forearm raised to strike out!

But just then, Selket ducked. She slipped past Astrid's strike, but the blow was already in motion, and it was too late to stop it. Astrid's hand slammed into the cold, hard steel of the railing, a loud clang echoing through the arena - and soon it was joined by Astrid crying out in pain, grabbing at her throbbing hand to try and dull the sensation in it. Her back arched and her features contorted in agony - and she could do nothing to stop Selket from getting behind her, slamming her head again and again into the railing! Each impact shook the walkway again, and drew another cry from Astrid's lungs. By the time the Priestess was through, Astrid lay slumped against the rail, her chest rising and falling with each ragged breath she took, and her sweat-soaked hair dangling over the edge. It was only a matter of time, from there, before Selket pulled the champion onto her shoulders, hoisting her high.

The cameras focused in on Selket, getting an impressive shot of her from below as she held Astrid overhead. The Norwegian went tense as she looked out on the scene, the arena floor far below her - not only in anticipation of what was sure to be a terrifying crash landing, but also knowing that Selket was celebrating what looked to be an impending win, at her expense. Astrid was her trophy - perhaps that meant even more to her than the belt did. She would be able to boast that she had bested the great champion, that even with all the effort Astrid had put into fighting back, into desperately holding onto her glory and her honor, in the end, it hadn't been enough.

No, Astrid told herself. She bit her lip, her eyes narrowing in a glare as her teeth clenched tight. She couldn't let that happen!

The pain in her head began to fade away, as all Astrid could concentrate on was how she couldn't let Selket get away with this. She couldn't let it stop here. She couldn't let this be her downfall! All of her muscles contracted, and she let loose a roar, voicing her resistance and her will to fight back. Just then...Astrid gathered all her strength into her leg. And, as she kicked out in the air, she broke it free from Selket's hold!

The sight of the champion fighting back caused the panic in the stands below to turn to eager cheers. The fans called out to Astrid, chanting her name and urging her to take what was hers. She wasn't going to waste this moment. Now, it was her turn to duck low as she rolled behind her opponent's back, grabbing one of Selket's legs in one arm and her head in the other to lift her onto her shoulders in a similar fashion. This time, though, it was for her own finisher, the Stavanger Buster - and Astrid lifted her head with a bold look on her face, rejecting the defeat Selket had in store for her, before she leaped from the railing to come crashing down into the floor, with the Egyptian's back poised to land first!

Re: Astrid Ostberg (c) vs Selket - Falls Count Anywhere Match for the LAW Heavyweight Championship Match

Unread post by Bare »

This was it. This was finally going to be it. That thought ran on loop within Selket's head. The culmination of WEEKS, nearly months of planning, was about to come fruition. All had not gonna according to plan. Astrid proved harder to break than Selket hoped, but that was fine. She still battered and beat the woman beyond belief, even if she had taken her own heavy amount of damage in the process of doing so. But that was fine, it would be worth it, all of the pain, frustration, fury, indignities, it would all be worth it when she finally cast Astrid to the darkness below, and secured her spot as the heavyweight champion. All she needed... was to throw Astrid down below.

But as she tried to do so something went wrong. A loud roar emanated just off to the side of Selket's ear, the volume and proximity alone rattling her brain. "Nghhhh!" She cried out softly her ear ringing from Astrid's roar as a ringing suddenly flooded her hearing. Rattled by the sudden noise Selket could do nothing as Astrid threw her weight back with everything she had, breaking free of Selket's grip and ending up behind her!

"NOOOO!!!" Screeching loudly in fury herself Selket tried to turn, attempting to hit Astrid, spit in her face, scratch at her, anything she could to try and stun the woman to reapply her finisher. But as she turned to face the woman she was just a hare second too late. The tables were flipped on Selket faster than she could react. Astrid's hands came down around Selket's leg and head like iron clamps and she was hauled up onto Astrid's broad shoulders! "No! No! No! No! NO!NO!NO!" Left screaming in protest, begging even, Selket kicked her legs about wildly, trying to do something to get free like Astrid had.

But Selket was still disoriented by Astrid's roar of primal fury. All of her faculties not fully returning, so her kicks of resistance while rapid were nowhere near the full strength she could manage normally, and certainly nothing close to what Astrid had used to break free of her own finisher move. Not only that but Astrid's hold was far more difficult to break out of as is. The angle and grip leaving Selket unable to get proper vantage to attempt an escape even if she weren't in a disoriented state. But as bad as this position was normally... it was about to get much... much worse.

Opening her eyes they would go wide upon noticing the sight before them. "No..." She whispered one last time, for a half second not believing Astrid would do what she was about to do. But it was clear this is exactly what Astrid was about to do, and Selket had been the one to push the blonde into doing it, so in a way she only had herself to blame. However that was the last thing on Selket's mind, no the most paramount thing in her brain was the sudden, sharp, calamitous drop in her stomach as she and Astrid went off the rails, literally, descending towards the stage below normally used for entrances which now served as their entrance pad!

"AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Releasing a blood curdling scream, filled with malice, frustration, raw fury, and... even some fear, was the last death knell Selket could manage as she and her opponent descended down, down to the unforgiving surface below until finally... They impacted with it.

CRASH

Landing with a thunderous, skull cracking and sickening impact that made those in attendance wince and in some cases even look away all together from the brutal impact both women had with the stage. A drop with such force behind it that the area of the stage they landed in almost immediately gave out from under the force, both women going clear through it! As a result... fans were confused. Murmuring in concern for both women, even Selket after all her tricks, venomous words, and fiendish plots. But no one wanted to see her seriously injured. Well... most people at least. Likewise however the concern for the champion was at a all time high. Did she manage the impact ok? Was she even conscious? Even if she was would she be able to pin Selket? Would this end in a no contest?

These were all questions the audience waited for with baited breath, the arena so silent one could hear a pin drop. Instead however what everyone heard was the frantic steps of the referee, film crew and paramedics rushing down the catwalk in desperate chase for the two competitors. The dust rising up from the crater left by the two women making it too difficult to see their position from on high. As such the audience waited, and waited, until finally the cabal of workers made it to the crater, the cameraman needing to turn on a flash light just to see what happened.

Looking down into the illuminated area the ref dropped down onto the floor and inspected the result carefully, the cameraman doing his best to capture the sight from a birds eye view... and it was clear. It was barely, but the positioning of Astrid' Stavanger Buster had resulted in her landing on top of Selket, barely mind you, but her back lay draped over Selket's chest and her arms across the woman's stomach and face respectively. In some ways it was quite lucky, or perhaps a karmic reward for Astrid's resolute and stalwart character in the face of Selket and her tricks. But the Champion had landed on top of her opponent with the challengers shoulders down to the floor. Which meant one thing.....

"ONE!"

"TWO!!"

THREE!!!

The ref had fast counted just a bit, if for no other reason than to put a end to this bedlam of a match. But it was also fairly obvious to anyone watching that Selket was well and truly out, her face a crimson mask from the impact, the only sign of life from her being the slow rise and fall of her chest. Not even Selket and her seemingly endless bag of tricks had a answer to what had just happened and even if she had a count to one hundred she still likely wouldn't have been able to kick out. It was over... Astrid had won.. But what state would the champion be in to bask in her victory!?
