Born into the legendary Van Der Meer wrestling dynasty, Ophelia was destined for greatness from the moment she took her first breath. Her father, uncle, aunt, and older brother were renowned wrestlers, and the Van Der Meer name was synonymous with excellence in the ring. From a young age, Ophelia was trained by her family, honing her skills and mastering the art of wrestling. She was a prodigy, effortlessly picking up techniques and strategies that took others years to learn.
But Ophelia’s privileged upbringing came with a price. She was spoiled rotten, constantly told she was the best and never had to face competition until she enrolled at Snuggle Bears Wrestling School. Confident she would top the class, being bigger, more skilled, and overall simply by most standards better than everyone else, Ophelia was shocked when she came in second place, losing the top spot to Edith Una.
Furious and humiliated, Ophelia confronted Snuggles, the school’s head trainer, demanding to be named number one. She even threatened to use her family’s influence to ruin the school’s reputation. But Snuggles, unimpressed by her tantrum, shut her down with a stern but fair response:
“Firstly, darlin’, I’ve been threatened with much worse in my career, so you can send your daddy’s little troublemakers and make all the smear storeys you want—they ain’t gonna change my mind. Secondly, do you really wanna ruin my view of you by throwing a temper tantrum? It don’t matter if you’re not as good as Edith overall when it comes ta the class. You are a DAMN fine student. Now, stop treating it like the end of the world. You got a 95% instead of 100% when most of my students hardly gettin' a 50%.”
Ophelia backed off, but the sting of being second best never left her. Instead of resorting to cheating (though she’s not above it), she vowed to prove she was better than Edith, by outshining her in every way. Every time Ophelia ranks higher than Edith in the any Wrestling Magazine Top 100, wins a title before her, or adds any accolades to her career, she would make sure to rub it in Edith’s face.
This feeling of being secondary even affected her overall person; seeing herself as the "StarChild," she even decided to make the ultimate symbol of dominance by making her own Kiss My Ass Club, where she would look to educate the most well-known talented wrestlers into the group by defeating them and then force them to kiss her literal ass as a sign of their inadequacy. To Ophelia, there’s no greater way to prove her superiority than by humiliating her peers by beating them in a match and forcing them to acknowledge her dominance via kissing her bum. She will not be satisfied with simply cheating to win; she will only be satisfied with being the best so she can brag about it to everyone else.

Ophelia's personality is often at odds with itself. She is prideful, smug, sternness, and has a tendency to be dismissive of opponents. She is exceptionally arrogant due to her skill. Still, although she often tries to win clean, she has, on occasion, been desperate enough to cheat to win. She often brags about clean victories, but if she wins through dirty methods, she often feels disgusted with herself, feeling as though the victory wasn't earned. Even worse is when OTHERS cheat for her without Ophelia ordering them to, she will often get ROYALLY PISSED OFF, accusing them of trying to discredit her talent and, on some occasions has, beat them down alongside the people who she beat through dirty means. Her main rival by far is Edith, whom she always will brag about her latest victory to, often calling her or anyone she views as lesser than her with the nickname "Commoner".
