Sophia grew up as an only child to two loving parents. The only drawback however was her dad served in the military and as such ever since she was a baby they were constantly moving, not even being able to make friends for a short time before she had to move again. As such as a kid Sophia was rather lonely with the only thing keeping her company was her comic books she had. It was an escape she had from her situation as she loved reading about these heroes with incredible powers blew her mind as a kid and she would always daydream of being a superhero someday. All of that was until she was six years-old where her father sustained and injury making him unable to continue to serve. Due to that for the first time the family was finally able to settle down and enjoy life. Once the family of three arrived at their new home, there was a box that wrote "Coming home present for Sophia". Sophia naturally was confused by this but much to the encouragement of her parents she opened the box and found stacks of VHS tapes and popped it into the TV and then everything changed. To her shock and awe, she saw the cousin of her father, Alaina Sanders one of her own family members wrestling in a simple tiger print leotard wrestling to defend her USSW World title. It was something young Sophia had never seen before, but she found herself loving it. To Sophia this felt the closest to real life superheroes, seeing them wear vibrant and unique outfits, typical heel vs face promos and face offs and the crowd cheering her relative Alaina after defending her title against the monster heel and Sophia couldn't get enough of it. Practically every day she would watch a couple of Alaina's matches and began to copy every move her relative did on her stuffed animals with her parents even humoring her by pretending to be a referee or audience members at points. As you can except Sophia's parents informed Alaina about the new obsession, they gave their little girl and one day Alaina stopped by and Sophia was glued to her. The young girl wouldn't stop asking her questions and even showed off some of the moves she picked up on much to her relative's delight. However, there was one thing Sophia learned that night that was more important than anything. When she brought up the topic of her wanting to join in the ring, Alaina told her if she wanted to become a pro wrestler, first she would need to do is get into sports at her school to start building endurance and to make lots of friends so she would always have someone's back.

From that day on Sophia would begin to take up sports with her parents starting her off in soccer but as she went on to middle and high school she would start wrestling. To her surprise, it didn't involve wearing amazing attires or big entrances but quickly caught on and became a natural at it winning plenty of trophies in the process. At the same time with the girls she worked with at her school they began to develop a tomboy nature to her with her becoming almost like a big sister to any new girls that joined the womans wrestling team. By the time she graduated she already made plenty of accomplishments as she won trophies and made plenty of friends that she still messages and finds time to hang out with to this very day. When she graduated however it was time to the have "The talk" with her parents. Sophia's parents knew she wanted to become a pro-wrestler and thus made a deal with her. They would happily love and support Sophia's decision if and only if she goes to college to get her degree in something as a backup in case, she sustained an injury that would prevent her from competing or she couldn't make a living off of wrestling alone. Sophia completely understood where her parents we're coming from and happily agreed to their terms as she began her life as a college student.
The beginning of the Star
Once she started college life things were going smoothly for her as she began to make quick friends with the people there and as such they quickly learned about her love and passion for professional wrestling. It was one night during her junior here however where her roommate told her about a local wrestling show near the college. It was an open tryout night event and if someone could beat a big local competitor at the place, revealing she would not only win a $1000 cash prize but also be allowed to wrestle there for as long as they want to. Upon hearing this, Sophia was beyond ecstatic and instantly started asking where the place was. She knew she could compete tonight as not only did she finish up her homework but what also helped was she was still in good shape thanks to the gym at the college for her to workout in. Sophia couldn't believe it; this was her chance to finally start her career in pro wrestling and knew if she turned down this opportunity all of those years would have been for nothing! What helped was as a gradation present her parents made her a leotard in case, she ever found an indie show she could wrestle at. With all of this, there was nothing to prevent Sophia..... until she realized something..... She needed to obscure her face. Given how close the indie show was to her college there was bound to at least be someone from the college that would recognize her which could lead to some trouble with the staff given how Gloria would be going out at night to potentially injure herself. Sophia couldn't believe it she was this close to achieving her career dream and all hope seemed lost. That was until her roommate pulled out a mask to help obscure her face. Sophia was in utter shock; she couldn't hold herself back a bit by letting out tears of joy from her roommate's kindness in wanting to help her pursue her dream and gave her the biggest hug she could (Even if for her friend it more felt like a bearhug). However, when Sophia had the mask on there was still one problem, her name. By this point Alaina Sanders had become a household name in the wrestling industry and there could possibly be someone who would recognize her last name on top of potential classmates who would know her name because of class. So, without any options, Sophia had one choice left and if anything, it was the most exciting one for her. Ever since she was a little girl, she loved comic books and now is finally able to become the superhero wrestler she dreamed of being with the name of "Gloria Star!". When she came out, she was the last woman who signed up for the match, and everyone else who had challenged the local competitor had been defeated easily. Everyone thought this would a no brainer and Gloria Star would go crashing down just like the rest. That was until the match started and what preceded was a head-to-head matchup no was excepting to see. Gloria took a lot of damage from her opponent, after all while she was still working out, she was considered a middleweight and was left reeling from high impact slams that cause her to spit out a bit of blood on the outside of the ring. It got worse for Gloria as she locked in her opponent's signature submission hold that one could break free of. Gloria refused to tap out, but it seemed she would be passing out instead. There was no way this was how her debut ended right? There had to be a way to break out of the hold and thankfully there was one way. Thanks to them being in front of a corner post, Gloria gritted her teeth and held on tightly to her opponent and went to push them back straight into it hoping for the opponent to break free and.... it worked! It worked so well in fact the woman was stunned, leaving Gloria with the chance to use one of her signatures she was working on and picked up the victory!!! The crowd was in utter shock and instead of booing that the household wrestler lost, they instead cheered the young Gloria for her hard-earned victory. From there on, the person in charged signed Sophia up for a contract to compete at the local wrestling company for as long as she was in the area. Sophia genuinely thought she was dreaming when she was signing the contract, but the best part was... she wasn't dreaming she was now officially living her dream. Even with all the bruises still intact from her match she was loving it. By day she was Sophia Sanders college student, keeping up with her studies and friends but by night she was the superhero wrestler Gloria Star, the American superhero who fought with integrity and justice.
The Independent circuit
During that time would talk about her accomplishments at the indie promotion to her parents who were proud of her not just achieving her dreams but even being able to find a perfect balance of doing her schoolwork and wrestling career. What helped was given Sophia being a big star she was paid fairly well and had plenty of money to spend. (On top of claiming the promotions Top Title). With all of this, Sophia knew it was time to finally ask the question to her parents if she could take the next step of her wrestling journey. She had just enough money (and a lot to spare) to pay for her ticket into The Shadow Fortress. It wasn't the most expensive thing in the world, but it was still pricy, but she had the money to pay for it all on her own. After a moment of silence, her parents finally spoke up and gave Sophia their permission to join the Shadow Fortress. Sophia was hit by a rush of joy as she hugged and thanked her parents with every fiber of her being. When she finally registered, she knew exactly what she was in for. Sophia trained in what felt like Hell. Everyday having to push herself to her limits just to keep up with the rigorous training. Thankfully given her current skill level at the time she was given the clear to wrestle at her local indie promotion. After much success she finally graduated from the Shadow Fortress, not only a changed woman but also a better wrestler than she was before!
One of Sophia dreams was to go to L.A.W to have a match with Alaina but knew that if she wanted to face off in the same ring with her, she had to earn it. That's why after graduating from the Shadow Fortress, Sophia would go on a tour from promotion to promotion eager to show her talent to the whole world. The superhero would quickly become a real showstopper, always delivering in whatever match she was booked in with her hard-hitting slams, tight submission holds and her overall positive attitude. It didn't matter if after a match she had blood running down her, she would always take time to sign autographs and take photos with her fanbase. However, she wouldn't just compete in America, if she wanted to get LAW's attention she wanted to travel aiming for the top. The ones she did compete in we're WXW (World Extreme Wrestling), EUWW (European Union Womans Wrestling), LLWWW (Lucha Libra Woman Wrestling) and JPW (Japan Pro Warriors). Sophia would quickly raise through the ranks of these earning the top title in all of these as well as winning the tag belt for some. Every time she fought someone wherever she went, Sophia felt alive, the crowd cheering her name, the rush of Adreinne she feels when she steps out of the gorilla and taking in a writhe of the air in the arena... it all felt like she was born to be here and does everything to show it. And thankfully it had all played off as one night after finishing up a match she was met backstage by a law talent agent who wanted to see if she'd be interested in joining LAW and as quick as a flash, Sophia signed and is ready to make her grand debut to LAW.

Outside the ring, Sophia can be best described as the toughest, biggest nerd you will ever see in your life. Wrestling and comic books have been her favorite things to talk about ever since she was a small girl and as such these hyper fixations of her carried into her adult her life as well. Due to this whenever she's private with someone she's always willing to nerd out with those willing to discuss wrestling or comic books with her. When she's with friends Sophia becomes a cool older sister to them. Always wanting to help them out whether it being in the gym or if helping out with a problem their going through. That being said however, she is willing to playfully tease and have fun if the situation calls for it. It even extends to her family as she loves them but is also teases them from time and time knowing it's all in good fun.
In the ring however Sophia dawns her mask becoming "Gloria Star, America's best superhero". Sophia is able to combine her two biggest passions in life into her gimmick as a superhero. As such when she's competing, Sophia loves playing up for the crowd, wanting to give them a person to root for, on top of being willing to happily taking pictures and signing autographs for her fans. To Sophia she wants this gimmick of hers to help inspire those who want to get into wrestling the same way her relative helped inspired her when she was a young girl too. However, don't let trick you to thinking she won't take things seriously because it's quite the opposite. Sophia has nothing but respect and love for professional wrestling and as such when she wrestles, she uses every fiber of her being to show her opponents what she's made of. In fact, all she wants from a match is to be up against an opponent who can test her to her limits. She's confident in her abilities given her past but sometimes could get a little too cocky for her own good. If she's up against a jobber however that's a completely different story because rather than use it as an opportunity to show off her strength and easily beat someone who's only booked against her to make her look good, instead she's willing to allow them a free shot in on her to help to make her not feel guilty about winning. Even then if she's up against someone who is clearly not as good as her, she's willing to give them pointers afterwards and even train with them to help them be the best version of themselves. When up against a heel however sometimes she's willing to play up her superhero gimmick saying things like "Stop right there! Your evil ways stop here and now!" That being said if she's up against someone who has done horrible things to others, she'll play it completely straight as she has no tolerance for bullies. Even back in her indie days if she saw a group of nasty heels ruthlessly attacking someone whose already been defeated or a jobber who just had a crushing defeat and they're still ganging up on them, she'll have no qualms with rushing out of the gorilla save that person.
Fighting style To make matters simple, Sophia is a typical powerhouse. Ever since she was a little girl Sophia was in love with the grounded style of wrestling and dedicated her life to replicating it in the best way she can. This superhero hits like a tank using slams, throws and submission holds that could make anyone tap out. That being said given her superhero gimmick she's perfectly willing to do some high flying moves only as a high impact finisher. She's even willing to say the names of her signatures and finishers as she uses them to play into her gimmick even more. One thing of note is she has signatures and finishers only made for heels as a way of bringing these evildoers to justice!
Preferred Matches
Sophia is fine with whatever match she's booked in. She has no problems fighting in hardcore matches as it feels like a true test of her endurance of skills. The only match she won't complete in are hentai matches. She has no problems with those who do participate but she's the type who if she wants to get it on with someone would rather do it in privacy rather than out for the whole world to see.

Douglas Ashford: He was Sophia’s mentor during her time in the shadow fortress and despite the feud his wife had with Sophia’s relative, he was willing to look past that to train her. Always helping Sophia do her best work. Even when she was exhaustion, he still kept cheering her to continue going, knowing that she can succeed. In doing so he’s one of Sophia’s best friends and even after she graduated from the fortress, she still makes plan for them to work out together from time to time always being sure to thank him for him helping her be the Star she is today.
Alaina Sanders-Haines: Ever since she was a little girl Sophia admired Alaina. Not just because she the cool aunt in the family but also because of how much she took her under her wing even back when she was initially starting out in the wrestling world. Sophia is always excited to share her achievements with her whenever they get the chance to meet. The only problem for Sophia is hoping she can live up to her aunt's legacy.
Allison Ford: When Sophia went to World Extreme Wrestling no one gave her a harder time than Allison Ford did. They we're both young and determined to show everyone what they were capable off and because of that they got along just fine. Even after Sophia defeated her for the Top belt in the company, they still had a massive amount of respect for each other and are good friends to each other having the other ones back if need be. Even going as far as has to have a brief tag run picking up the companies tag belts.
Trivia
- Sophia's regularly goes a comic bookstore once a month to pick up any latest or old issues of comic's she likes. She'll even bring a recently purchased comic backstage to read while she waits for her turn to go out.
- Sophia's favorite comic book characters are Stargirl, Kamen America (an indie comic book series she adores), Captain America.
- Sophia works out from Monday-Friday but takes the weekends off so she doesn't overdo it.
-Despite being related to one of the biggest names in Womans wrestling, Sophia doesn't try to brag about it not wanting to seem like she's only here because of her relatives success.
- Many people ask her why she has a massive boob window hanging out. Well it's because whenever she does a new wrestling outfit no matter how well tailored it is it always rips.
