Personality:
Outside of the ring, Myrto is a generally affable and grounded woman who likes to live in the moment. She’s the kind of woman who wants to live without regrets, and so she tends to follow her heart.

She always likes to make time for friends, and she cherishes the time that they spend together. Though, she does tend to try and avoid unnecessarily large purchases, having lived on the road for most of her life with an uncertain income.

Myrto’s fiercely competitive, and always strives to do her best in whatever she does. Though as fearsome as she is when competing, she lets the losses roll off her without an issue - failure is the best teacher, after all, and Myrto has learned many lessons throughout her life.

In the ring, Myrto can appear one of two ways:

When performing as herself, Myrto “The Gladiatrix” Drakos, she’s competitive and brash, eager to get a good fight and test herself against her opponent. If she thinks an opponent is holding back, she’s happy to taunt them to get them worked enough to come at her full force.

But when she’s performing as Artemis, Goddess of the Ring, Myrto tends to throw on an over the top ethereal performance as a Baby Face, being all smiles and sunshine… if still quite competitive. She’ll praise her opponents’ successes, and console them on their losses.

Whatever name she’s wrestling under, though, Myrto’s happy to leave all her disagreements in the ring and not let them disturb her after-hours - though, expect her to remember them the next time she enters the ring with an opponent.

Background:
Born in Patras, Greece, Myrto had a happy childhood. Her father was a contractor, and her mother a professor of archaeology.

As a child, Myrto was raised on the old myths and stories of ancient heroes, dangerous tasks, and epic odysseys. She was fascinated by these tales, and quickly fell in love with the idea of setting out on her own voyage; her own odyssey to one day compete at the highest levels of combat in front of roaring crowds.

It took a while for Myrto to settle on exactly what sport she wanted to compete in, though. Throughout her early years, she focused on football and track and field, but neither really spoke to her.

In high school, Myrto started to try martial arts and immediately fell in love. She enjoyed the workouts, the practices, and especially the sparring and fights. She threw everything she had into it, beaming after every win and taking notes on what she’d done wrong when she lost.

But upon graduating high school, things got disappointing. She found her life monotonous, nothing like she’d imagined as a child. Her friends in MMA moved away, leaving her all alone…

So, at 19, Myrto made a decision: She was going to go on her odyssey.

She grabbed a duffel bag of her belongings, and hit the road. She travelled from one city to another, participating in martial arts tournaments for money, staying in hostels or on couches of friends who happened to be in the area.

As she went, she started to receive invitations to boxing and wrestling events, and she took to them eagerly, happy to learn new ways of fighting.

Each win funded the next leg of her voyage, and in each city she travelled to she’d try to learn something new: tracking down local martial artists and seeking their tutelage. Myrto lived like this for nine years before getting an interesting invitation:

A spot in the roster of LAW, a Japanese wrestling promotion.

Always eager for a new challenge, she accepted, ready to start the next leg of her voyage…
