Personality:
Spoiler
Yolanda Ruiz Caballero had a hard childhood in a hard neighborhood, a fact that usually becomes apparent before long. Rough, at times downright crass. Tough, hotheaded, full of bravado, and prone to violence. That's not to say that she's without her charm, but many have found it difficult to connect with her on a level much deeper than a beneficial friendship.
Backstory:
WARNING: Contains dark themes
Yolanda Ruiz Caballero had spent her earlier years in an LA ghetto. Her father had been murdered in the midst of a robbery, forcing her mother to work two jobs to barely make ends meet. Mrs. Caballero had done her best to try to keep Yolanda on the straight and narrow, and for a good while, she succeeded. But alas, like many others in their neighborhood, her daughter would eventually find herself in trouble on a regular basis. In school, on the streets, and with the law as well. Violence and threats of it, stealing (which she did primarily in a misguided attempt at helping her mother), vandalism...

Yolanda's grades plummeted and her face became an increasingly familiar sight in the juvenile hall, and her mother felt helpless to stop the descent. However, things would change once Alonso Esteves Cruz -- an electrician who had a son and daughter of his own from a previous marriage -- came into their lives, beginning with a chance customer-patron meeting at Ms. Cardenas Ruiz's diner job that turned into regular lunchtime visits, that turned into dates, and eventually, marriage.

Yolanda's relationship with Alonso was rocky to begin with, with the former resenting what she saw as the replacement of her father, and the latter having no love for what he would come to see as a worthless thug. Mouthy and defiant, becoming increasingly more of both the more Alonso attempted to discipline her, especially as that discipline grew more violent. It had an effect on Alonso's relationship with her mother as well, with many arguments had as she pleaded with him not to kick Yolanda out into the streets.

She managed pull things away from the brink every time, and seeing her mother standing up for her would also cool Yolanda down and convince her to make an effort to try to live with him, as he did with her. But each time, there would be a spark that ignited another flame: Being punished for finishing a fight that she hadn't provoked, Alonso's dismissal of her friends (who were often on the wrong side of the law themselves), his old school views on men and women's places in life...

The final straw would come after he and the family (which at this point had included her younger half-sister, Maria) had packed their things so he could move them into a better neighborhood. It would be here that Yolanda would begin her short-lived time in high school; like magnets, she and trouble would find their way to each other. This time, it would come in the form of the 81-SG, a gang that stood opposed to Los Carmesi, with whom her father's murderer was affiliated.

She'd snuck out with a friend one night and caught him alone. It had been eight years, but his face was one that had been burned so intensely into her mind that she didn't need the light of day to recognize it: Julio Suarez. He was leaving his adult daughter's home -- it was the first place he went after being released from prison (for other charges; he was never caught for the murder). He'd left the gangster life as well, a detail that Yolanda wasn't aware of. Not that it would've mattered.

She borrowed her friend's gun and crossed the street, straight towards the mission. Julio didn't see her coming until she was standing right beside his car, pistol aimed at his head through the window, ordering him to get out. He recognized her face, saw the hard look in her eyes, and did as he was told, calmly accepting the fate that was about to befall him.

"May you find peace, and your soul be saved."

Those were the man's last words before she emptied the entire clip into him, entirely unmoved. After the deed was done, Yolanda and her friend fled the scene. When she returned home a few hours later, her mother was waiting for her. The murder had made the news, and although the gun was no longer in Yolanda's hands, it had been detailed in a way that removed all shadows of doubt about its perpetrator.

Heartbroken, she told Yolanda to walk right back out the door and never return. Seeing the pain she'd caused, Yolanda didn't speak so much as a word in argument or try to plead her case. Now homeless, Yolanda devoted her next two years to the gangster lifestyle, serving the 81-SG faithfully until she (along with a few others) was set up to take the rap for some major drug-related charges; an operation that she was only a small player in. If convicted, she would've been put away for thirty years.

It took some time, but after being clued in through her body language when the possibility of betrayal by higher ups was brought up during an interrogation, investigators kept pushing on that angle until she finally agreed to tell them what she knew, having been offered immunity in exchange. As soon as she was let go, she gathered the money she had and fled as far as she could make it carry her. And with a combination of her looks, street smarts, toughness, and heavy hands, her financial well wouldn't dry up until she'd reached Detroit.

By then, she'd developed a good eye for the underground, and it wouldn't be long until she happened across another fighting league that was being run away from the public eye. After a few months of that, an acquaintance had given her a tip about a wrestling promotion that was looking for someone to step in to compete in a tornado tag team contest, replacing a talent that had skipped town. EWCW (Extreme Women's Championship Wrestling). It was one of those companies that offered the real deal. No pulled punches, no scripts, no pageantry required. And it was hardcore wrestling to boot, which suited Yolanda just fine.

With false documentation at the ready, the seventeen year old would go on to make her debut with a bloody, grueling battle. The worst she'd ever had since her jump in initiation to the gang life. Chair shots, a powerbomb onto unforgiving concrete, a spear through a table...

And in turn, Hack, with Susana Ortega holding her in place, had her face slice open with a switchblade, deeply enough for her to fall unconscious minutes later from the blood loss. And Nina Rotten would be knocked out with what would become one of the rookie's staple moves: The 5250.

After the 1-2-3 was counted, it felt like the stars had aligned. The crowd loved the display, Yolanda enjoyed the rush that came with the amped up violence, and Susana was so impressed with her grit that she offered to take her under her wing. It was then that she knew: This was what she was meant to do.

The two would make a steady climb to the top of EWCW's tag team division, locking themselves in for a title shot that would never come, on account of the company folding due to financial mismanagement. The two would stay close, however, starting the journey anew in WZW (War Zone Wrestling). They quickly became a hit, and with that popularity came fatter paychecks. And with those fatter paychecks came wild nights out. Susana liked to party hard and she knew how to get at the substances that allowed them to keep going through the night.

It would be their downfall after they won the gold. After taking a few days to recover from the contest, they went to a club to celebrate. Bottles were popping, drugs were flowing, and tempers flared when Yolanda hit the dance floor with the man she decided would be that night's "entertainment". The problem was that his girlfriend was there as well, along with a few of her friends. Yolanda hadn't known that the man was taken, but when she found out, she didn't care, and Susana didn't hesitate to back her up. As far as they were concerned, if the man wanted an upgrade for the night, that was his girl's problem.

It was four on two, but the four weren't about that life, as they would soon realize. The police would arrive soon after, and Yolanda and Susana would be taken out in cuffs. Upon receiving word of the incident, WZW officials stripped the soon-to-be prisoners of their titles and fired them.

After serving their sentences, the two would try to work their way back up in independent promotions. A journey that Yolanda would eventually continue on her own.

The split occurred after Susana got pregnant. After making this discovery, she made an attempt to quit the harder drugs that she'd become addicted to. But unfortunately, their pull on her was too strong, leading her to abandon her child in the hospital after she'd given birth and go out in search of a fix. She had no intentions of going back, and when that became apparent, Yolanda in turn walked away from her.

As a singles competitor, she would find success in a competitive sense through the years, but legal troubles in regards to other violent confrontations outside of the job along with her own substance abuse issues would hold her back from getting her hands on another title.

Her willingness to go to extremes was what attracted one of LAW's less scrupulous recruiters: She'd done an interview in the aftermath of a scaffold match she had against Ramon Ortega, who was also a member of the 81-SG and the thing that cemented her decision to be jumped in instead of sexed in. After the then fellow teen had gotten too touchy with her when she was offered the choice, she'd made it a point to at least knock him out before she went down, which she succeeded in doing. He'd had it in for her ever since, but had never been able to exact vengeance upon her.

Ramon had grown into a real scumbag. A playboy who left multiple abandoned children and battered girlfriends in his wake. After hearing that Yolanda had joined the promotion that he was also competing in, he challenged her to the match and stated his intentions of crippling her, forcing her to live out the rest of her days "like the rat she is."

The match ended with him being tossed from the scaffold, missing all but three of the tables that were stacked in place to keep the fall from being fatal, hitting the ropes, and being bounced out of the ring. He would suffer a spinal injury that left him permanently paralyzed from the waist down, but she admitted that her aim was to throw him hard enough to make him miss the ring entirely.

The recruiter got in touch with her the day after discovering this interview. At first, Yolanda was surprised to be getting an offer from a major promotion, especially after having made that admission. But then she did her due diligence after that first talk; got a glimpse at some of the psychopaths and miscellaneous crazies in its employ. And then it made sense.

She signed the contract.
Preferred Matches: Deathmatches, Submission Matches, Last Person Standing

Strategy:
Spoiler
As expected of someone with her extensive history in hardcore wrestling, Yolanda is primarily a brawler who often escalates to (if she doesn't start the match with) the use of weapons. She fights smarter than most, however: Blocking, bobbing, and weaving where one would expect a hardcore wrestler to tank the hits and preferring to counter instead of trade (although this isn't to say that she's incapable of either). Using her heavy hands and powerful, if unrefined kicks (which she usually sets up with a few quick punches) to soften up the opponent (smash their ribs and make them struggle for every breath, tenderize their arms and legs with hard, targeted strikes to cripple their ability to maneuver and defend against her next attack) before she goes for the finish.

Yolanda also has some wrestling training that she utilizes; to great effect in shutting down other strikers, especially, but she can also hold her own against dedicated grapplers. She's not likely to come out on top in a technical battle against a specialist, but she knows how to create openings for decisive blows. She's obtained a decent grasp on submission wrestling as well in recent years, showing particular effectiveness when it comes to chokeholds.

Her ground game isn't the greatest, but her varied repertoire makes it serviceable. She prefers to set that up with a hard slam to knock the air and sense out of the opponent before going for the mount and subsequent ground n' pound and/or Ruiz Choke.

If the contest gets heated and she feels the need to make an exclamation point against the opponent, but hasn't gotten to the point of being furious (or is in a match with disqualification that she cares to win at that point), she'll do so with The AMF. Those who really set her off, however, must be especially mindful not to get trapped or mounted, in which case she'll throw technique out the window and pummel them ruthlessly, punching away until either the opponent submits, is knocked out, or Yolanda tires out, which is unlikely to occur.

And although renowned for her brutality in the ring, Yolanda may actually scale it back and stick to hand-to-hand for a large portion, if not the entirety of a match if she respects her opponent, in which case she'll seek to end things only with a Lights Out Roundhouse, Golden Left/Right, or one of her chokeholds.
Specialty Match #1:
Toymaster's Gauntlet Match
The Toymaster's Gauntlet is an Ironperson Hentai contest where the only orgasms that are counted are those that are achieved with the use of a sex toy.
Specialty Match #2:
Nap or Snap Match
The Nap or Snap Match is a submission bout where the only means of victory are just as the name states: Rendering the opponent unconscious or breaking their bones.
Attitude Towards Hentai Matches: "You wanna play like that, huh? Okay. I've got a fun little game we can try out." (Removes her belt, handling it by the ends in one hand and gripping the loop in the other.) "I'm your mami..." (Pulls the belt flat, producing a loud, whip-like crack) "...And you in trouble. Bring that ass here."
Signature and Finishing Moves
Signature Moves
Northern Lights Suplex With Transition to Full Mount

Powerslam With Transition to Full Mount

Double-Leg Takedown Slam With Transition to Full Mount

Unnamed Combo

Headlock-Lift Powerbomb (May be followed up by the D'Arce Choke or The RRNC)

Unnamed Grounded Reversal (Typically follows up with several punches)

She's also known to remove her belt if she's wearing one and choke or whip her opponent with it. In a standard match, it's oftentimes hard enough to leave painful welts and gashes, taking advantage of it being considered a part of her attire as opposed to a weapon. She's capable of being softer and playful with it in lewder affairs, however.

5150 (Is normally used in the place of the 5250 in matches with disqualification.)
