Wrestling Information
"Awright! Let's heat things up a notch!

Style: Exuberant Powerhouse (Puroresu) - Tomoe fights like she cooks: with a high-energy flair that some may mistake for mere showboating. Of course, there is an element of wanting to excite the crowd there, but above all, she just wants to have a good time. It just so happens that her idea of a good time is slamming another chick up and down the ring with powerful, high-impact moves.

Strengths: Despite her rather brutish appearance and demeanor, Tomoe pursues her passions with the same penchant for excellence as the rest of her family. After a few years of being a professional wrestler, she's picked up some solid skills between the ropes. That being said, Tomoe's biggest strength is… well, her strength. Owing to a very protein-heavy diet and a consistent regimen of exercise from a young age, Tomoe's muscles are as powerful as they are plentiful. In the ring, she takes advantage of her prodigious strength to strike, lift, and slam opponents with aplomb.

Weaknesses: While Tomoe's match sense is decent, she isn't much of a strategic thinker in the ring. As such, highly technical or speedy wrestlers can quickly overwhelm her with chained or agile moves. While she knows basic counters to aerial moves, coming from above her will limit how much leverage she can use to generate power. Additionally, as a hedonist, she's prone to falling into her opponent's sensuality.

In-Ring Traits:
  • Chef in the Kitchen: Additionally, while her straight-line speed isn't anything to write home about, her years in the kitchen have left her lighter on her feet than most would suspect given her size. This allows her to sidestep and dance around moves more often than most heavyweights.
Basic Moveset:
  • Suplexes
  • Piledrivers
  • Torture Racks
  • Spears
  • Clotheslines/Lariats
  • Throws/Slams
  • Chokeslams
  • Dragon Sleepers
  • Camel Clutches
Signature Moves:
Hibachi Hell
Tomoe performs a military press gutbuster. When the opponent lands, she keeps them there before sending a barrage of chops up and down their back.
Image
Blazin' Wing
Tomoe holds the opponent in a torture rack, with their arm underneath their back… like a chicken wing hold. Tomoe then slams them down head-first into the mat for a burning hammer, putting pressure on their shoulder while slamming the heck outta them.
Image
Kushiyaki Driver
While hoisting an opponent over her shoulder, Tomoe runs towards the corner and throws them head-first into the post.
Image
Lamian
This move is named after the traditional hand-pulled noodles common in Chinese cuisine. First, Tomoe holds the opponent in an accordion rack, squeezing to bend them several times, as if folding the noodles in on themselves. Then, she flips them up, over, and onto her knee for a backbreaker, as if bouncing the noodles off of her table.

Lost in the Sauce
Only used in No-DQ matches or when her opponent cheats first, Tomoe takes a huge swig of a bottle of hot sauce and spits it in her opponent's face!
Chef's Kiss (can be used as a hentai finisher)
Lifting her opponent up by their thighs, Tomoe slams them down for a powerbomb! Then, she lifts them back up slightly to plant their face into the mat and bend them with a spider crab. In a hentai match, she can eat them out ravenously from this position.

Biographical Information
“Heh heh! Never trust a skinny chef, y'hear?”

Personality:
Tomoe is a bit of a hedonist, believing that the fun of life is in experiencing all it has to offer. For example, her love of food comes from that desire to watch people smile after a meal for all five senses. Always the life of any party she's at, Tomoe is boisterous, impulsive, and brash. While all of this, in addition to her free-spirited nature, may not be what you'd expect from the youngest scion of a rich family, don't excuse her fun-loving nature for a lack of ambition. It's just that, characteristically, her goals tend to focus on the little things like smiles and laughs.

Biography:
Nanami Azabuko is the seventh and youngest child of the Azabuko family, named so because of their long-running connections to the wealthy Azabu neighborhood of Minato, Tokyo. With nothing but the best in terms of resources and education, many Azabukos were destined for greatness in business, public service, academia, and more. Her siblings were no different.

But Nanami's interests were slightly different than those of her siblings. While they were out at lessons or classes or galas, Nanami stayed in the kitchen with their family's private chef, helping and learning all on her own. And when they came home, she was always happy to serve them a piping hot plate of whatever was for dinner that night. This passion for food was honed until it became elite culinary skill, on par with the specialties of any other Azabuko.

With so much talent, Nanami could have easily become a private chef herself, or perhaps even a successful restaurateur. But she never really got the appeal of five star meals — not when street food existed. So instead, she started her own street stall, named Orchard. Orchard's menu was inspired by izakayas, the intimate venues characterized by small plates and cold beer that dotted Japan. From the streets of Tokyo, Nanami started a revolution on fine dining!

One day, Nanami was cooking at an outdoor festival where one of the main attractions was a wrestling show. She was caught more than starry eyed at the athletes' displays of elite physical prowess. Soon enough, she joined a local wrestling school, crafting her own style and persona for use in the indies. Nanami styled herself as Tomoe Togarashi – named after a female warrior of Japanese legend and a well-known Japanese spice blend. She wrestled in small Tokyo promotions for 3 years before being approached by a LAW recruiter.

Fun Facts:
  • Nanami's siblings are, in order from oldest to youngest, the CFO of the Azabuko family corporation, a neurosurgeon in a world-renowned American hospital, a member of the Public Prosecutors Office, the first-chair cellist for an Italian opera house, and the captain and vice-captain of the J.League's Kawasaki Frontale (they are twins).
  • Nanami has an extremely high tolerance for spice. Orchard has an ongoing challenge where any guest who finishes just one skewer doused in Nanami's spiciest sauce gets free meals for a year. Nobody has succeeded, and 7% of participants ended up in the hospital.
  • Despite her general prowess in the kitchen, Nanami is awful at baking.
