Uta Toyama vs Chika Igarashi - UWFI Rules Match

Rules:
Both competitors start out with 15 points. Those are deducted for any of the following:
- Being knocked down
- Staying in submission for more than 10 seconds
- Breaking the hold via a rope break
Winning Conditions: Submission, Knock Out, running out of points, DQ

Chika was fairly surprised at the ruleset presented for her today. From what her manager, Thirteen explained to her, once someone in the booking office realized the more Strong Style nature of both Chika and her opponent tonight, someone really wanted to see an old-school ruleset from an old shoot style wrestling promotion to be tried out in LAW. Chika didn't mind. She was quite a fan of these shoot style bouts, even if she herself never participated in them.

The Raven Knight arrived to the ring in her usual armored get up, with Thirteen by her side. Tonight, she couldn't do anything but watch the contest, for the purposes of which LAW would actually place her on the commentary desk, to comment over both women during the encounter. Although Uta wasn't in too many LAW matches yet, both her and Chika were interested in what the relative newcomer had to bring to the table.

Once inside, Chika took off her raven armor and passed it over to the crew at ringside, stretching while in her corner and waiting for her opponent to arrive to the ring...

Uta's match for tonight, which happened to be her second match, was a different one than usual. It had a unique ruleset where points would be used. Ever interested in trying out new things and ever determined to win in whichever fight she would get herself into, Uta was excited for the match, and after waiting for a while, she received her cue. She took one last look on her outfit; a two-piece outfit which showcased her fit and athletic body, before she made her way out.

Reaching the ring, Uta looked at her opponent for tonight. She looked formidable enough, which made her even more excited. Now that she was in the ring, she decided to speak to her. "Heya! You ready for some good ol' beatdown?" She grinned excitedly. Those words were delivered without malice as it highlighted her competitiveness. Uta then waited to hear the other woman, Chika, so that she could learn how she would respond to her words. This would be able to help her to learn more about her before the match could start.

Uta looked friendly...but also confident and competitively ready as she made her way down the ramp, Chika nodding at the look of her opponent. While slightly bigger, she doubted that size would be much of a factor in this encounter...though with this being a shoot fight that discouraged more acrobatic offence, size could've played a bigger role than she anticipated.

As Uta greeted her in a competitive manner, Chika confidentially smiled at her opponent, swinging her leg up in the air before coming back at her rival: "I'm good...but be careful you don't end up at the end of one tonight..."

With introductions done the ref asked both women to take their place at their corners. Chika nodded at Thirteen at the side of her corner, and nodded towards her manager, as she told her prior to the match to keep things simple for a start, since this was a ruleset Chika was unfamiliar with.

As the bell rung and signaled the start of the match, Chika carefully moved into the middle of the ring, trying to initiate a simple collar and elbow tie up with Uta!

Uta waited at her corner, still keeping her eyes on Chika as she waited for the match to begin. Due to different ruleset, Uta knew that she couldn't simply approach this match the normal way. Aerial maneuvers would be discouraged due to the nature of this match, and she would have to rely more on powerful strikes in order to take her opponent down and earn points.

And once the match started, Uta stepped away from the corner, rolling her shoulder as she maintained her gaze on Chika. Still retaining her confident look, she would take a stance, looking to start the match with a standard collar-and-elbow tie up. Seeing that her opponent also had the same idea, Uta surged forth, looking to lock up with her.

Being the bigger one between the two, Uta was confident that she held some advantage over Chika, and she would try to use her strength to overpower her opponent in the lock up. While grappling might not be her greatest forte, she knew that she might be able to overwhelm her opponent with her strength, thus gaining an upper hand over her.

The two women clashed in a contest of skill and power, trying to get one another to the floor first and take early initiative of the match...

...only for Uta to manage to control the tie up, managing to exert her power over Chika, no matter how much the Lightweight resisted. If she didn't act soon, she was going to lose early points to Uta!

As the two headed towards a corner, she decided enough was enough, launching her knee forward to nail Uta on her stomach!

Uta could tell that she was currently holding the upper hand as she managed to overpower her opponent with her strength. If she managed to take Chika down, then Chika would have one point deducted. But as they were getting closer and closer to the corner, suddenly Chika drove her knee into Uta's belly, causing her to gasp out in pain.

"UUGHH!!!"

This thwarted her effort to keep pushing Chika, and while she was still locked up with her opponent, Uta was having trouble breathing thanks tothe strike to her stomach, leaving herself vulnerable to whatever Chika had in her mind next.

With Uta driven away, Chika had the initiative in the contest...and she wondered about trying out to take a few points off her foe early was a good strategy or not. Uta might've been ready for whatever Chika had in store, but the Joshi had to test out the waters to know what she was dealing with.

Her attempt to take Uta off her feet was a simple one, trying to sweep her legs from under her with a low kick!

Breathing hard after taking her opponent's knee to her belly, Uta tried to regain her bearing while still locked up with Chika, but it seemed that Chika was going to follow it up with a low kick, causing Uta to lose her footing. "Gya!!" She cried out as she fell backwards, flailing her arms as she tried to maintain her stability, but failed to do so before she hit the mat with her back.

"UGH!!"

With her being brought low onto the mat, Uta would get one point deducted. Knowing what was happening, Uta groaned as she tried to roll herself to the side, trying her best to maintain her composure after being caught off-guard by her opponent. "D-drat..."

Uta was downed, and now Chika was leading the match in terms of points! She had to try to follow up the attack to possibly deduct more points from Uta (potentially for both a submission and a rope break)!

Quickly dropping down on the mat, Chika decided to go for a simple hold for now, simply catching Uta in a headlock, twisting at her head to cause a little bit of damage!

Knocked down by her opponent, Uta rolled herself to her side, looking to pull herself up. But Chika had decided to keep up with her assault as she went towards her and grabbed her by her head, catching her in a headlock. Uta groaned as she felt her head being twisted and wrenched by her opponent.

Knowing that she needed to escape this, Uta clenched her fists before she attempted to drive them right at Chika's sides, going for a few punches to discourage her from keeping her in the hold.
