Personality
 The first thing that most people notice about Méi is that she's kind of a dick, at least on social media. She appears to have very few---if any---compunctions about harassing people online, often making jokes at the expense of others. While she often keeps her antagonism lighthearted, make no mistake: Méi is more than capable of cutting with her words. Her provocations are typically masked behind a veil of humor, but she can put real venom behind her words should she desire.
 Méi is not much different when interacting face to face: she is often just as abrasive in-person as she is online. However, unless one is a coworker or closely affiliated with Méi, getting a face to face meeting with Méi is difficult as she is seldom seen out in public. Her actions are difficult to track, and if one is an astute enough observer, it may even seem like Méi is constantly shadowed by a group of mysterious figures.

At times, Méi can be rather Machiavellian towards those outside of her family and circle of friends. Other times, she is simply a dick.

Méi is proud and sophisticated. Sociable, yet distant. And condescending to those whom she considers commoners.

But behind all of that, she is secretly masochistic, due to having to act dominant and ruthless her entire life. She secretly enjoys being dominated, beaten, and humiliated. But if you were to confront her about this, she would vehemently deny it. And should this facet of her personality become public knowledge, Méi would be devastated---and extremely aroused.

Because of her predilection towards masochism, Méi often antagonizes others in an attempt to provoke an attack. However, Méi is not an inherently mean-spirited person: she shies away from being excessively vitriolic in her provocations and instead adopts more of a mocking tone.

Additional Notes

Méi's skills are world class---when it comes to getting her ass beat, that is. She has little in the way of proper defensive techniques, preferring to take punishment rather than avoid it. In fact, Mei is quite skilled at maximizing the magnitude and duration of her beatings.

To accomplish her masochistic goals, Méi perverts a variety of legitimate martial arts techniques. Head movement? Méi uses that to slip into punches. Distance and angle management? She purposefully puts herself in the way of harm. Counter punching? Méi is superb at getting countered.

All of this is not to say that Méi is weak, however. In order for her provocations to be taken seriously, she had to learn some fighting skills. For instance, she has excellent defensive distancing, using it primarily as a means to aggravate her opponents. She has a working knowledge of submissions, generally being able to avoid being submitted prematurely.

Perhaps the biggest threat from Méi is her uncanny ability to land devastating counters when they are least expected. Her foes are never quite in the clear, even if Méi has been mercilessly beaten and barely able to stand. Thus, despite her otherwise relatively unimpressive skills, she can still pose a threat to high-level opponents if they are not careful.

However, her major weakness, apart from her unmitigated masochism, is her lack of formal training. Never having stepped foot in a gym or dojo, Méi developed most of her skills while competing in an underground hentai circuit. As such, she would struggle against any sufficiently-trained opponent. But this is not much of an issue for Méi as the prospect of a dominant opponent having their way with her (in multiple senses of that phrase) turns her on.

Past
Méi descends from former Chinese nobility. Although nobility no longer exists in China, she and her family are still proud of their roots.

Nowadays, the Xiāo family is involved in business and international politics. The family is extremely wealthy due to its political and business connections. Growing up, Méi was afforded just about every luxury there was and in return, it was expected that Méi eventually become the head of the family.

Unsurprisingly, being treated like a princess from early on quickly went to Méi's head. When Méi was little, she was a giant brat and regularly belittled the servants. But that all changed when she went too far and began hitting one of her servants. The servant retaliated, giving Méi a harsh beating. It was there that Méi discovered how much she enjoyed being beaten up. Being a part of the dominant Xiāo family meant that Méi always had to act the part and be superior to others. But in its own way, being beaten provided Méi with liberation: liberation from harsh expectations that were foisted onto her.

But being part of the Xiāo family afforded Méi little opportunity to indulge in this predilection. Plus which, the harsh training that she went through to prepare her to be the next head of the Xiāo family ate up most of her time. This forced Méi to be extremely crafty when it came to satisfying her desires.

Méi quickly became extremely skilled at goading people to attack and beat her. When her victims inevitably snapped under the weight of Méi's provocations, her family's wrath often fell upon the attacker, not knowing that it was Méi who instigated. This caused Méi a fair amount of guilt, but her desires ultimately overrode any guilt.

Fortunately for the unsuspecting populace, Méi eventually found another means of getting her masochistic fix. When Méi was 18, she found out about an underground hentai wrestling circuit and joined in secret, without her parents' knowledge. Méi was extremely nervous at first but quickly hit her stride as a hentai jobber, managing to suffer many humiliating defeats.

Being in this circuit awoke a hidden desire in Méi: to be sexually humiliated, in addition to being beaten. However, although Méi felt sexual thrill in the arena, she also felt quite humiliated: the dichotomy between being a sophisticated, dominant Xiāo and her utter humiliation was painful for her to bear. But in the end, her carnal desires won out.

Eventually, her parents caught wind of Méi's activities. She was stripped of her birthright and would no longer be the heir to the family, the honor instead passing to her younger brother. Still, unwilling to abandon their beloved daughter, Méi's parents decided to continue supporting her, on the condition that she stop participating in illegitimate underground matches.

Méi obliged, not willing to give up her life of luxury. But she soon found out about LAW and set about joining. Her parents found out, but to Méi's surprise, they did not stop her. Instead, they only asked that she not shame the family name by using it and that she at least try to win her matches---after all, it is unfitting for a Xiāo to lose, and especially not without a fight. Moreover, they also asked that she try to hide her masochism as they loathed to imagine their daughter acting like a common submissive slut.

Those were easy terms to accept, and Méi eagerly joined LAW.
