Alaina was excited for this interview as she was going to step into the ring with an exciting upstart who was dominating women so far in her young career! Sadly the amazon was not wrestling Petra Adamos, but she did set up a couple chairs to sit in inside a practice ring at the LAW gym. Alaina was a bit sweaty herself having just finished a workout. She was wearing her one piece tiger print swimsuit, I kneepads and boots.
If two wrestlers were talking wrestling why not immerse yourself? Alaina sat back and drank some water, making sure a fresh bottle awaited Petra. The amazon was eager for the interview and hoped Petra felt the same way.
Appearing not before long in her own attire that she had dubbed to be her standard, Petra was all too eager to share a ring with famous amazon powerhouse Alaina Sanders. She herself didn't mind if it was for wrestling or otherwise!
"Hello Alaina..!" She'd hum, climbing through the ropes after a small wave, with a modest crowd before the two outside - one beset with cameras and audio equipment.
"I am thanking you very much for having me..." She'd nervously bow, standing before her chair for the moment rather than actually sitting down.
Alaina smiled and waved to Petra, happy to see her. "It is great to see you Petra! Feel free to relax and take a seat." Alaina said to the young wrestler.
Alaina looked over a few of her questions but wanted Petra to be totally at ease. "We will do things a bit different today. Do you have any questions for me or about the interview before we start?"
Petra was quick to take to the seat, given how nervous she was. Given the fact she was not at all used to these scenarios, combined with her minimal confidence in her limited English, Petra would have likely felt more at home if she WAS actually wrestling Alaina.
"Erm...Hmm..." Petra hummed, head in hand for a moment as she sat there. "What is making you wish to interview me?" She'd turn with a smile.
Alaina was feeling better about Petra and her comfort once she began to speak. "Well you are honestly dominating in the ring, rising through the ranks quickly. I want to know how you do it, what made you wrestle in the first place and your long term goals." Alaina said as she looked over at Petra.
"Is that all right with you?"
"Oh!" The answer made Petra blush, whom was evidently taken aback by the fact she was being complimented by the likes of Alaina. "That is being alright. Thank you very much Alaina..." She'd nod back.
Alaina looked over at Petra and smiled. "No need to thank me I am just pointing out your performance." Alaina said before leaning back in her chair.
"What makes you stand out so much and succeed to the point you have been dominant so far?" Alaina asked kicking things off.
Petra grinned, her eyes everywhere but Alaina, purely from her momentary lack of confidence. Something she hoped would fade as the interview went on.
"I am not being sure...I am thinking it is perhaps me being very new...And perhaps me being more eager than other new...I think I am catching them off guard with how eager I am..." She'd nod, as if agreeing with her own answer.
Alaina nodded and listened jotting down the response. "Is there a certain type of wrestler you feel you struggle against or do well against?" Alaina asked, curious as to Petra's answer. "Like... is a powerhouse easier to handle for example and you find technical wrestlers tougher?"
"Hmm. I am not thinking there is a certain type..." Petra thought to herself, quite literally stroking her chin. "There is being one girl. Helena. She was being very nasty and un-sportsmanship. I had to get used to being opposite her very quick"
"I see, you find heels and dirty fighters tough? Me too. I hate how they wrestle so beating them is satisfying." Alaina said before changing gears.
"When it comes down to it what are some of your favourite moves to use?" Alaina asked, tilting her head to the side.
"I am not taking the satisfaction though. I am feeling very sad that they must fight that way. They would have a much bettering time if they did not do the cheating."
Petra sat a little forward as she answered, her hands now to her thighs as the nerves began to disappear. "Hmm.. I am very much liking the..erm...suplex? Is how you say? You lift them up and over. I often do an attack right after when they are hurting from this."
Alaina kept jotting things down and nodding as Petra spoke. This was good so far and she was enjoying herself.
"All right Petra, so who were good opponents that stand out so far and who are women you look forward to facing in the future?"
"I do not really be having favourites..." Petra nodded, with a little more serious to her eyebrows. "Even the nasty girl. My match with her is being a good one. Any match where I can learn, and wrestle, and be better, is a favourite one."
With that, Petra leaned back, relaxing all at once again. "Many many women." She'd laugh. "There is Tina Armstrong. There is Erin Quinn. There is Ducky Williams." She raised her hands, as if to part them wide. The same motion one would do when exaggerating the size of something. "Many." She laughed again.
Alaina smiled and nodded. "I hear that, the roster is full of great wrestlers for sure!" Alaina said before shifting a bit in her chair.
"What sort of long term goals do you have for your career?"
"Hmmm..." Petra once more fell into deep thought. "I am unsure. I am not particular about being getting a belt. There are many good champions, and I would like to have being put besides them eventually with or without a belt of my own. If I had to have one, I would very much like to try and take Lillians Byrnes."
"Oh Lillian.... yeah, good choice there." Alaina said as she grit her teeth, her history with Lillian at the forefront of her mind as soon as she heard the name.
"Okay not too many more left. I guess to satisfy my own curiosity do you think you would be victorious if we had a match?"
"Yes." Petra responded instantly, with a wide grin and yet another nod, before she opted to explain. "This is not me being cocky I hope you am knowing. I do not go into any match believing I would be the loser. If I do that, I have already lost. Yes?" She'd look to Alaina, hoping she understood.
Alaina nodded and jotted the response down. "I do understand, I look at things in a very similar way." The amazon said, straightening up a bit as she was ready to ask another question.
"Outside the ring what are some things you do to balance your life?"
"I am becoming very familiar with Japanese life, aha!" Petra nervously brushed her hand to her cheek. "Outside of much training. That is. I have become a anime watcher, and I've been trying many foods. I tried a-erm..." Petra brought her finger to her chin, as if she was trying to remember the name of the food. "Yakitori? It is chicken. Very nice chicken.."
Alaina chuckled a bit and jotted down the results again. "All those sound great to me, anything that keeps your mindset solid is good." Alaina said before looking over at Petra. "Final question, what would you like to say to all your fans out there?"
"I am being very grateful for their support. I am mostly here to be the best I am being capable of being. If you like that, I am truly grateful. I hope you stick around with me for a long time." With that, Petra gave a exaggerated nod, to the point of it basically being a bow.
Alaina smiled and jotted that down as well, happy with the interview of the young wrestler. "Thanks for your time and we all appreciate it!" Alaina said standing to shake Petra's hand. "I really look forward to seeing you in action again."
With a quick stand, Petra bowed once more. She was beyond grateful at Alaina Sanders giving her the time, and she was all too quick to accept that handshake, with a more than lively motion. With that, the Greek smiled once more, before seemingly looking to slip out of the ropes.
