"Diamond" Deanna Duncan vs. Michelle Bennett
Match Type: Standard
Rules: Victory by pinfall, submission, or knockout
It was the big debut for "Diamond" Deanna Duncan, who was excited backstage, body wiggling in anticipation for her theme song as she spoke to her best friend and tag partner backstage, Cheyenne Black Rock.
"Aaaaand it's almost here, Cheyenne! We've been waiting for this! I mean, I've been waiting for it. But I mean, you too. Collectively we've been waiting for my debut here, and it's going to be great! I'm gonna beat her, gonna grind her down, and then I'm going to party all night! Maybe not all night, but a sufficient amount of time? Even with or without a win, I might party. I know you don't like to party, but I think if there was a time to party, it would be now. We'll get you in something hot--You're always hot, but we'll get you in something super hot, and then I'll find something. Maybe a skin-tight dress. Oh, you know the one? You know the one. You said I look great in it before. And just think, after my debut, so many people will know me then! All of these people, all of the crowd, that bitch Rachel back home--I told you about Rachel, right? You know all about Rachel. When she seems me out there kicking butt, she'll--"
"Deanna," interrupted the larger Native American girl, Cheyenne.
"Oh, what's up Chey?" asked Duncan, brushing some hair back with a big smile.
"Your theme song is playing," said Cheyenne simply, her tone calm and even.
Deanna laughed and then gave Black Rock a pat on the shoulder.
"Yeah, right. So anyway I was--" The Diamond froze, eyes drifting up as she listened.
"Oh shit!" shouted the debuting wrestler running out to the stage in a full sprint and then immediately switching to a casual stroll when she was in eyeshot of anyone.
Sure enough,
Nerves by Icon For Hire was playing as Deanna waved to the crowd with a cheerful smile on her face.
"Yeah! I'm debating! And I was totally here when my theme song played!" she shouted, knowing full well that the crowd probably couldn't hear what she was saying as she made her way down the ring, skipping casually. While she did so, Cheyenne was following behind her.
When Deanna Duncan made her way to the ring, she would then jump onto the apron and sit on it in a cute pose before kissing her index and middle finger and holding it up to the crowd and sliding into the ring before getting up and jogging around the ring, holding her fist in the air, pointing out members of the crowd and rallying them on to cheer for her, looking thrilled to be out there and ready to kick butt in her debut! Cheyenne Black Rock, meanwhile, stood at ringside calmly, smiling at her friend who seemed to be loving every second of her debut.

Michelle was doing good here in LAW so far. She aimed to show everyone what she was made of, and tonight, she aimed to emerge victorious against whatever she would be facing in the ring. Clad in her leopard-print leotard, the British seductress made her way out of the locker room, heading out to the ramp as her new entrance theme,
The Blue Color Cynicism, was played from the loudspeakers.
Receiving mixed reactions from the crowd, Michelle made her way down the ramp, smiling confidently and seductively before she reached the ring. Before she entered the ring, she did one last pose at the apron before she climbed it up, rolling under the ropes to enter the ring. Once she was on her feet, she placed her hands on her hips as she looked at her opponent for tonight. It seemed that her opponent had her own entourage with her.
"Well, well... so, I assume you're my opponent for the night?" Michelle asked as she directed her gaze at Deanna. Considering that the other woman, Cheyenne, was at the ringside, the woman standing in the ring in front of her would be the one she would be facing after this.
"Give me your best shot, darling. And best of luck, since you're going to need it..." Michelle said as she rolled her shoulder.

Deanna Duncan watched as her opponent came down to the ring and the white haired girl went to the ropes to talk to her tag partner at ringside. "That's my opponent, Michelle Bennett. I did some research on her--not a lot, mind you, but enough. She's pret-ty good, but I just need to believe I can beat her. Which I can, because we're thinking positive over here, right?" The Diamond waited a beat. Cheyenne gave a very slight nod. "Right! So I'm thinking that she can use submissions well, but I'm very good at submissions myself. So good that I think I can keep up--maybe. Depending on how I'm feeling. Or maybe I should just attempt to switch it up, and just start tossing her around? I think I have the ability to do both just as well as the--"
"Deanna," said Cheyenne gently.
"Sup, Chey?" asked Duncan with a big smile on her face.
"Your opponent is in the ring," stated Black Rock calmly.
"What?" asked Deanna, looking confused. She would then turn and directly in front of her was her opponent, Michelle Bennett. She let out a yell of surprise, but then smiled at her nonetheless. She simply had a big, dumb grin on her face as Michelle spoke to her, and she waited until Michelle had finished speaking.
And then she unloaded, "Wow, you're confident! Fortunately for me, I never felt I needed luck, because I'm pretty sure that skill trumps luck most times, at least, unless you're doing something like playing the lottery, because there's no skills that help with that. But fortunately I happen to be pretty good at this wrestling thing--you're about to find out, obviously. And don't worry, I'll give you a run for your money because I'm looking to win it. It's my debut after all, and in my debut I need to set a precedent. I cannot be underestimated you know. But I really appreciate you coming down here, doing your entrance, coming over to say hey, and hey, by the way. I'm looking forward to this! It'll be a fun time! I'm Deanna Duncan, B to the T to the Dubs."
Deanna would then hold out her hand for her opponent to shake, a big, excited smile etched on her lips, finally allowing herself to stop talking.

Michelle tilted her head as she watched and listened to what Deanna was saying. She sounded like an airhead, though she didn't want to judge a book by its cover. Michelle considered herself to be pretty attentive, but even she had trouble keeping track on what Deanna was saying, and soon, once the other woman was done, Michelle almost didn't realize that she was offering her a handshake. The British seductress looked down at the offered hand, and from the look of it, she was about to take the handshake.
But instead of shaking Deanna's hand, she would instead bring her hand up to Deanna's face and poke at the tip of her nose. "Michelle Bennett. Well, that was quite long-winded speech you got there. Of course, when it comes down to it, luck plays an important role..." She smiled enigmatically as she would step back, preparing herself for the match to start. Placing her hands on her hips, Michelle would wait for the referee to start the match, and once the bell was rung, she would get into position, ready to clash with her opponent for the night.
"Come on... give me a good time..."

Deanna had looked as giddy and innocent as a golden retriever, smiling at Michelle as she didn't shake her hand, but instead booped her on the nose. The Diamond's face wrinkled and she let out a tiny squeak. As Bennett walked away, Deanna let out a chuckle and said, "You booped me!" And then she looked over at Cheyenne and pointed at Michelle, grinning. "She booped me, Cheyenne! Can you believe it!?"
Cheyenne nodded on the outside, arms crossed as she responded as only she could. "She booped you, Deanna."
Shrugging, Duncan let out another laugh before sighing contently, focusing on her opponent. "Michelle, you said a really cryptic thing about luck. Super cryptic. Like, the same kind of stuff that Chey tells me to make me stop and think about stuff, but I think that might be some kind of mind game, which fortunately, I'm very immune to. Not that I can blame you for trying, because it's a legitimate--" Then the bell rang, forcing a break in Deanna's speech. "--strategy."
Then, stepping forward, she would hold her arms up in a practiced grappling pose, but her mouth certainly didn't stop. "But if you're looking for a good time, you're talking to the right girl. Because I happen to be the queen of good times. Not like, in a dirty way or anything, not that I thought you meant it in a dirty way but--hello--look where we are, right? I just meant in a more just like I can party hardy, you know? You seem like you know a thing or two about partying hardy. But partying is for later, so let's just focus on the match, alright?" concluded Deanna Duncan, having made her way to Michelle in her long-winded rant and motioned that she wanted to lock up!

Well, the girl sure loved talking, Michelle thought to herself. Not that she was irritated by that. It's just that she was impressed that the girl was able to speak without pausing. Seeing Deanna coming towards her, Michelle would prepare herself to engage her in a lock up. Raising both her arms, hands open, she would close in before she surged forward, locking up with Deanna.
"Now, now... don't you think that's rather long-winded? You should save your breath for something far more important..." Michelle told her opponent as she would push forward, trying to use her strength to push her opponent backwards. Exerting her strength into her arms to push her opponent and into her legs to propel herself forward, she aimed to overpower her opponent with her strength.

Soon, the pair locked up, with Deanna still having a big smile on her face, especially after Michelle spoke, oddly enough. She rolled her eyes as they jockeyed for dominance in their test of power and she began to speak yet again, "Hey babe, don't you worry about me! I happen to have incredible lung capacity! Like when I was a kid, I was a swimmer, right? And I would be like setting state-wide records for staying underwater and everyone would be so sh--Whaah!"
Deanna Duncan was then interrupted by being shoved forward, head over heels as she rolled back. Wiping hair out of her face as she was kneeling, the American girl shook her head clear. "Oh, you got strength, cool. Cool. I got strength too, maybe not as much, but it's, you know, comparable," explained The Diamond before she sprung up to her feet and then rushed at Bennett, going for a clothesline, but pulling it before she could hit the girl, expecting for Michelle to be wise enough to evade it. If she could successfully trick her, she would jerk to a stop, reach back, and then grab her by the head to plant her down to the mat with a neckbreaker!

Michelle managed to catch Deanna easily as she shoved her back, and she smiled, thinking that this should be an easy match for her if her opponent was this easily distracted. She would then wait for Deanna to get up, still listening to her rant as she would prepare herself for what her opponent would do next. When she saw Deanna running towards her with her arm extended out, she knew that she was going for a clothesline, which she easily avoided by ducking her head.
But what she didn't expect was her opponent faking her out as she stopped right behind her, grabbing her by her head before bringing her down to the mat with a neckbreaker. Michelle's eyes widened as she was taken down, pain spreading from her neck to her head and body as she was taken down. "URGHH!!!" She couldn't believe that she had been tricked by her opponent, whom she thought to be a ditz. She ended up slumping on the mat for her trouble, leaving herself an easy target for her opponent.

Deanna Duncan had scored her first move of the match and immediately popped up to her knees after the neckbreaker landed, a huge smile on her pretty face. "Lookit me! I did it!" she exclaimed, the crowd giving her a polite reaction for how excited she was for it. And she quickly looked over at Michelle, who was still reeling.
"Honestly, didn't even expect that to work. Totally just made a call," and then she scrambled over, trying to push Bennett over to her side. "But I think that's what's fun, is when you throw something out, you know?" Duncan would then try to lock in a chin lock, lacing both hands under Michelle's neck, and then if successful, put her knee into the brunette's back to attempt to leverage her hold!

Michelle still could feel the pain from the neckbreaker earlier, and she tried her hardest to get her mind back in order, but it looked like Deanna was going to continue with her offense as she pushed her over to her side before she brought her hands under her neck, putting her in a chin lock. In addition to that, Deanna also pressed her knee against her back, making her whole situation more difficult.
"UWAHH!!"
Michelle cried out, her face scrunching up in pain as she tried to endure the hold. She flailed her arms in her effort to reach back to where her opponent was, but for the time being, the pain was preventing her from focusing on her opponent, who was behind her. So, she would remain in the hold for the time being.
