L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

The smooth sounds of Selfish High Heels by macross started playing through the arena. Cali McCloud stepped through the curtain and towards the L.A.W ring, feeling the goosebumps in her skin as she was going to compete in her first match for the federation. Cali stepped through the ropes and posed for the crowd who gave her a newcomer's cheer before taking off her jacket and handing it to one of the attendants at ringside. She turned towards the stage as she bounced on her toes, waiting for her opponent to walk through those same curtains.

Abby sat in the back nervous as all could be, she was here to have her first match in LAW of all places with a development contract. She knew enough to be able to hold her own but she had to admit it was going to be hard going up against other wrestlers and on such a big stage. Abby was trying to decide if she was still up for this, feeling all the butterflies in her stomach. She looks around trying to figure out what she was going to do, but she knew that if she let them control her life, she wouldn’t even be here right now. She would just be sitting at home playing video games or watching the match from England. Abby lets out a frustrated sigh and smacks both of her cheeks trying to pump herself up. But all she did was make herself squeak and the sides of her cheeks burn as they start to redden up. “Ow, I did it too hard.” She said as she pouted.



Abby walks towards the entrance to the ramp, as she did she would see other wrestlers and just would stare at awe at some of them and how they looked. Abby then adjusts her headgear on her head after watching her opponent enter the ring, she had a nice jacket. Maybe that was what Abby needs a cool black leather jacket to make her look tough. Then again she is still wearing wrestling headgear. She sighs as her opponent started bouncing on her toes waiting for Abby to come out. Abby would be startled as she heard the beginning of her theme, My Way by Nami Tamaki. The crowd would start to clap with the beat and her eyes would go wide. It was like they were giving Abby a warm welcome to the ring.


Abby walks out from behind the curtain waving her hands to the crowd with a big smile on her face. Abby made her way down to the ring hearing the cheering of the crowd which filled her with a strange warmth that she has not felt before. Once Abby was at ringside she would walk up the steel steps and enters through the ropes still embracing the cheers from the crowd. She looks at Cali and bows to her before offering her a handshake like she has seen many wrestlers do in the past. She knew it was dangerous but had a feeling that Cali was friendly.

Cali smirks, going up to the smaller wrestler and accepting the handshake.

"Hey, let's give it our best alright." Cali said, giving Abby's hand a firm squeeze before going back to her corner.

Abby smiled looking at her opponent, as she had accepted her handshake. That was a good sign that she was up against someone who was at least good in heart, and probably wouldn't blindside her or try to cheat.

"Yeah, without a doubt!" Abby said after letting go of Cali's firm handshake, though she was pumped for her first match she could not shake off this feeling of being nervous. At least for now, but she was going to need to get back into it quickly as the bell would ring signaling the start of the match. Abby would circle around the ring looking at Cali. Until they were across from each other and Abby tries to get Cali to meet her in the middle with a old fashioned collar and elbow tie up.

Cali rolled her shoulders before hearing the ring of the bell. The excitement from the crowd filling her with a type of adrenaline that was only comparable to her hikes through the forest. Her first match outside of the federation that she trained in, against wrestlers that she had never wrestled before nor even heard of. It was a type of energy that would've made her rush towards Abby out of the gate swinging, but she needed to wrestle smart. Cali walked out of the corner and circled around the ring until Abby started moving towards the center. Cali met her half-way and the two were locked in a collar and elbow tie up.

Wanting to set the tone, Cali started using her strength and pushed Abby towards one of the corners.

Abby let out a growl as she tried to put as much as she could against Cali but Cali was just pushing her back towards the corner. Abby shook her head trying to think of something that she could do. Quickly she thought that if maybe she was to catch Cali off guard she might be able to take over. So while still tied up with Cali, Abby would drop down going back to some collegion wrestling moves she was taught and goes to grab both of Cali’s legs. Abby would try to drive forward hopefully picking Cali up and off of her feet and onto the mat with a double leg take down. If she managed to take Cali down she would attempt to pass her guard so she could lock in a headlock from the ground.

Cali looked to push Abby back into the corner completely, but noticed Abby drop down to try and pick at her legs. Unfortunately for Abby, Cali knew well enough to utilize her weight and used her toes to grip the mat to prevent Abby from picking her up. Cali instead wrapped her arms around Abby's waist and showed off her strength, dead lift the Brit into a powerbomb position which impressed the crowd.

Abby couldn't believe it, she was stopped dead in her tracks as Cali stuffed her take down attempt, Abby wouldn't have time to recover as Cali would wrap her arms around Abby's waist. There was no way that Cali was going to attempt this. But to Abby's surprise Cali would deadlift her up onto her shoulders and was shocked to say the least as she tried waving her arms in the air trying to keep her balance. Abby would try sending down strikes to Cali's forehead to try and force her to let go. If able to Abby would just roll back onto her feet and dive straight into Cali's ankle to try and cut her down. But she didn't know if Cali was really going to try and end it there with a power bomb.

Cali felt the strikes rain down on her head and was forced to let Abby go. Cali shook the pain away from her head and noticed Abby lunge towards to her ankles again. Seeing Abby trying to focus on her legs again, Cali decided to reciprocate by delivering a kick to Abby's head right as her fellow rookie neared her.

Abby tried her best to take advantage of her little come back against Cali but she was stopped dead in her tracks once again with a kick to her head. Abby clutches her head in pain as she fell to the floor. She tries shaking out the cobwebs in her mind and then stood back up once again in a daze leaving herself open. Maybe she needed to slow things down, try to feel out Cali? Because in the end all Abby was doing was leaving herself open for more attacks by her opponent.
