Finding the place wasn't easy. Finding somewhere to discreetly don her mask before entering turned out to be tricky, too. In Mexico, lucha libre carries a cultural legacy. Even if the mask isn't full-faced, people understand the situation. So when a girl opts to travel with a domino mask on, and she seems to be heading to a gymnasium, they get it.
In Japan? Turns out it's not quite so culturally ingrained. They have their Tiger Masks (and the myriad variations thereof), but those tend to be the exceptions. Not the rules. So when she emerged in street clothes, masked up, and clearly foreign, she got looks. But this isn't Camille they're dealing with. This is Bandita. Vivacious, radiant Bandita. Those looks were met with cheerful waves and passing, "Hola~!,"s aplenty. Fortunately, the security at LAW's performance center knew what to expect and let her right in.
One quick change later, and Bandita had donned her training gear and opted to hit a treadmill first and foremost in an effort to run off the jet-lag still besieging her brain. It absolutely would not do to be sluggish for her debut. Not when everything was riding on it. Everything, not only for herself, but for her family.
So there jogs the newest addition to LAW - softly bronzed skin, toned body, youthful, masked, and with ponytail abounce with every trotting step. Other wrestlers haven't neared her quite yet. She's the new girl. She's the new competition.
