Bengal, the Blaze Tiger
Anna Sigrid (Snow)
The LAW arena tonight would be a battleground of opposing elements. The hot-tempered Blaze Tiger, Bengal, was scheduled to face-off against the icy Swedish martial artist Anna Sigrid, better known by her ring name, Snow. To fit with the theme, the two halves of the ringside area had been decorated in starkly different ways. One side was covered with fake snow and plastic icicles, creating the impression of a winter wonderland. The other was carpeted with shades of red and orange, and lined with recessed torches set in high poles. Their flickering light cast long shadows over the ring, creating an eerie atmosphere.
Bengal entered from the fire side of the arena, just as the opening chords of her entrance music began to play. Her orange-and-black costume blended in perfectly with the infernal background, making it hard to keep track of her movements. The torches set along the entrance ramp flared up as she stepped past them, then settled down again, all in perfect synchronization.
The fans, unfortunately, didn't seem to appreciate these aesthetic touches. They began to boo as soon as they saw the Tiger, which wasn't exactly surprising. After all, her opponent was a world-famous actor, in addition to her wrestling talents. Even leaving aside her past transgressions, Bengal was clearly the less popular woman in this matchup, but that didn't seem to phase her. Just makes it even more satisfying when I win, she told herself, as she mounted the ring apron and ducked under the ropes. I can't wait to see the looks on all their faces!
It wouldn't be an easy fight; the Tiger had to admit that to herself, despite her vanity. Snow had a reputation as a fierce submission specialist with incredible endurance, but Bengal was confident that she'd come out on top with her superior striking skills. And if that plan didn't work...well, that's what her little surprise was for. She waited until the referee's back was turned, pretended to adjust her glove, then quickly tucked a hidden lighter and packet of flash paper inside.
The ring announcer's voice boomed out, putting a momentary halt to Bengal's plotting. "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first...from Kolkata, India...standing five feet seven inches, and weighing 140 pounds...THE BLAZE TIGER! BENGAL!" As the jeers from the stands came to a crescendo, the Tiger leaned casually against the ropes, inspecting the back of her hand to check the sharpness of her filed nails. Then she turned her gaze to the snowy side of the arena, certain that her enemy would arrive from that direction.
