Standard Match
Victory by pinfall, submission, or count-out. Standard disqualification rules apply.
Darina had fought all around the world before coming to LAW. Big guns always came after her -- UFC, ONE, Bellator -- but they never managed to pin her down for a contract. It was a lot more fun on the road, floating from promotion to promotion. The only downside was the competition level. Everyone knew Darina was more than a match for even the top fighters at the big shows. When she came to town, all the smaller promotions quickly had to bring out their best to put on a match worth watching with Darina.
Most of the time it worked -- fellow rising stars and venerated favorite daughters made her globetrotting worth it. Sometimes, though, there was an itch she just couldn't scratch. Times like that, she was glad for the existence of underground leagues. People who did it on the street, without a sporting commission or sometimes even a referee in sight? They were fun. Sometimes they fought dirty, often times they fought rough. But they always fought hard, and Darina appreciated that more than anything.
So when Darina heard she'd be helping launch the career of a former underground fighter, suffice it to say she was stoked. When the her theme started to pulse around the arena, Darina was already bouncing from foot to foot. She was ready for this fight, and anyone paying attention could tell.
She jogged down the entrance ramp, forgoing her usual parlay with the crowd in her excitement. Red hot blood already pumped through her veins, and all the shadowboxing in the world couldn't get the thrill out of her muscles. Still, tradition was tradition. She hopped onto the ring apron and went arms wide, urging the audience to join her:
Then she hopped into the ring and turned to the entrance ramp. Darina Daybreak needed to get her eyes on this America.
