L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

In the waiting room of the hospital, Hiro Takahashi sits anxiously. His girlfriend, Fang, lies in a hospital bed recovering from her injuries sustained in a wrestling match against Jack whom Hiro had just beaten not too long ago. Hiro is dressed in his wrestling gear, looking determined and focused.

NURSE: Mr. Takahashi, the doctor said Fang is ready to be discharged. She's just getting dressed now.

HIRO: Thank you.

Hiro stands up, checking his wrist band and taking a deep breath. He is ready to take Fang home and to finally put this ordeal behind them.

It had not been a good time for Fang. Having spent a considerable amount of time in the hospital, going through treatments to better recover, as well as having to getting used to moving around again was not fun; especially when there were a couple of days when she had to use crutches until she could walk and guarantee her back was straight.

Never mind the fact that she was worried for Hiro when he went to face off against Jack. The way that Jack was trying to get under Hiro's skin during that match made Fang uncomfortable, especially at the end when the same prick tried to directly communicate to her and tell her how shitty of a person Hiro was. Fang refused to believe that Hiro was like that at all. She knew Hiro deep down and knew he was better. The question now was she a good person?

She was finally dressed with some casual clothes that Hiro brought to her.

She stepped out of the change room and the doctor spoke to her.

"You have shown considerable recovery, Ms. Lewis." the doctor commented, trying to give some form of positivity for Fang, "As we have discussed, you will need to perform some necessary exercises to get your body back into rhythm, especially if you will be wrestling again."

"Thanks..." Fang said weakly, as she saw Hiro. She felt down put was able to bring up a bit of a smile as she went to hug him.

Hiro hugs Fang tightly, relieved to see her standing on her own and dressed in casual clothes. He holds her close, feeling her strength and determination despite her recent struggles.

"Fang, I'm so glad to see you up and about. You're looking better already."

Hiro would say in a soft and loving tone.

Fang said nothing, but hugged Hiro tightly. She was at least glad that she could move and be able to embrace her boyfriend like this.

“Thanks…” Fang said to Hiro.

Hiro returned Fang's hug, holding her close and feeling her warmth and strength. He smiled softly, knowing that their bond was unbreakable.

"You don't have to thank me, Fang. I'll always be here for you."

Hiro would say trying to reassure his support and love for his girlfriend.

Fang would only hold Hiro tightly for a few more seconds before she had to break off the hug. She would let Hiro take her hand as she would follow him out of the hospital.

Hiro took Fang's hand and together they walked out of the hospital, ready to face the future together. As they stepped into the sunlight, Hiro glanced at Fang and gave her a reassuring smile, silently promising to support her every step of the way.

"Let's go home, Fang. We've got a lot to look forward to."

Fang merely nodded, not saying much of a word. While Hiro was there for there, she was concerned about if another incident like this one occurred again. And, unlike this time, she may have more permanent injuries. The fact made her feeling very uneasy, despite her attempts to look positive.

As they walked towards the car, Fang's silence did not go unnoticed by Hiro. He could sense her unease and knew that the recent ordeal had left a deep impact on her. Without saying a word, he gently squeezed her hand,

"Fang, I know this has been tough for you. But I want you to know that I'll do everything I can to keep you safe. We'll take every precaution to make sure nothing like this ever happens again."

Fang felt Hiro gently squeeze her hand as they walked towards the car. She froze as Hiro was talking to her about about making sure nothing like this happens again.

"But what if it does..." Fang responded, having a lot of doubt in her voice, "What if it is worse. I could be crippled for life. So much of my life would no longer be realized...and worst of all, I'd be holding you back." Fang was starting to get a bit teary-eyed. She was afraid of something similar happening again, but potentially ending in a state far worse than what she was previously. Also, the fact that it could also affect Hiro was another situation she was concerned about.
