Backstory, Ambitions, & Personality
A nuisance, a pain in the ass, vulgar, immature, and someone you should not see yourself in the ring with are some of the things Mizuko Kajiwara is known about. A Leviathan elite, a master in the way of submissions, even nicknamed the “Submission Sadist”. For such a little fighter, Ms. Kajiwara has racked up quite a reputation as one of the most feared and hated competitors within the black and blue brand. But how did she become this way? She wasn’t born like this, but her upbringing is what formed her to be the person and fighter she is today.

On April 9th, Mizuko would be introduced to the world in a premature birth and was supposed to be scheduled in three more weeks instead. Her parents took this as a bad omen of what is to come for their daughter. Some would say they were too superstitious and some would agree that their worries would be correct. Growing up, Mizuko was nothing more than an energetic problem child! Destroying belongings around the house, fighting the family pets, and picking on the neighboring kids. Mizuko was quite a problem in her parents' eyes, but in reality, her lashing out and destructive nature were all in an attempt to get her parents’ attention. Something we have yet to state, Mizuko’s father was a respected surgeon and her mother was an accountant for a law firm. For these job positions, her parents were extremely busy and had little to no time to play with or entertain their high-motor child. This would cause many issues for Mizuko in the coming years, including extreme loneliness and possessive issues. Sometimes she would consider the koi fish in their family pond to be her only friends. But things would change for the Kajiwara family as a new member would be unexpectedly joining them.

A few years after Mizuko was born, her new sister, Estu Kajiwara would come into the world. Finally, someone for little Mizuko to be friends with and no longer lonely…That is what Mizuko originally thought. Instead, her parents would dramatically change their lives in addition to Etsu. Mizuko’s mom would quit her law firm and would become a stay-at-home mom and continue as a personal financial consultant to have time to care for their new baby. Her father would as well transition into becoming a part-time surgeon so he could actually raise and enjoy being a father. Mizuko would immediately catch onto this and would notice her parents showering her new sister with more attention, care, and love than she has ever received. This would cause Mizuko to develop quite a resentment and hatred towards her family and especially her little sister. Just as the years have gone by it was more and more evident who was the favorite child of the family and who was the forgotten one.

The most ironic part of this, as Etsu grew up, she became more and more attached to her big sister Mizuko who didn’t want anything to do with her. Constantly picking on her, bullying her, and being downright mean did little to nothing to sway Etsu’s natural love for her sister. In Etsu’s eyes, Mizuko was her hero and idol of who she wanted to be when she grew up. But Mizuko’s resentment blinded her from seeing this and just saw her sister as nothing more than a nuisance and competitor in gaining their parent’s attention. So, Mizuko tried impressing her parents in various ways, academically, physically, and to various achievements. Although trying her best in everything she was a part of, none of it quite stacked up to her younger sister’s accolades as Etsu was enrolled in everything Mizuko was a part of. Therefore, when Mizuko did something, her younger sister would inadvertently copy her and do it better. Mizuko would be Etsu’s shadow... literally. To rub further salt in the wounds, Mizuko as the OLDER sister would grow up short compared to her taller younger sister who stood a couple more inches taller than her.

In Mizuko’s teenage years, she unsurprisingly was a rebellious teen. A class bully, punk, and all that jazz. Not far behind was her sister Etsu would soon start copying her older sister’s antics which the Kajiwara family would start catching on to. Instead of disciplining both, they blamed Mizuko for being a terrible influence on her younger sister and demanded she should shape up or be kicked out. Having quite enough of everything, Mizuko was quite in a bad spot in her life… Disconnected from her parents, overshadowed by her more successful younger sister, and more lonely than ever, Mizuko hit rock bottom…Until one school event would change things. In a fundraiser event, her school hosted a small wrestling event for local talent to compete in. Mizuko has never really ever watched a wrestling show before, little alone a live one. But this one match would change her life forever.

Watching uninterested in the back, Mizuko would’ve liked to be anywhere but there until one competitor would steal the show for her. A wrestler by the name of Onaga Chiyoko is known as the numb one by fellow wrestlers. Some would consider him a jobber, but in some way and fashion Onaga always finds a way to steal the crowd’s attention away from the babyface wrestler he’s facing. This was more true when he competed in front of Mizuko’s school. In typical heel fashion, he got the instant ire of the audience while his foe received all the love, but he used this to his advantage. Using the baby face’s own honor against them, Onaga would use every heel tactic he had in the book to utterly embarrass or annoy his opponent. So when his foe tried to retaliate, Onaga showcased why he was nicknamed the numb one who would absorb every attack and act as if they were nothing. This left Onaga’s opponent speechless while enraging the fans as they know those moves must’ve hurt! Eventually, the baby face would prevail and conquer the dastardly heel, but that’s not what the majority of the classmates were talking about. They were gossiping about the embarrassing things that Onaga managed to do to his foe and how he disrespected all of the students in various ways in the match. This would fixate Mizuko on Onaga as she wanted to know if he managed to orchestrate the match where he got nearly all the attention good or bad even after the match. She also wanted to know how he managed to take those blows and slams as if they were nothing but love taps.

Mizuko would show little respect for the wrestler and demanded Onaga right after his match to reveal all of his wrestling secrets right then and there for her. Rightfully, Mr. Chiyoko told her to buzz off and leave him alone. In typical Mizuko fashion, she did not. So every show that Onaga would perform at, a certain black-haired-orange tip girl would show up and annoy him to reveal his secrets and into training her. He kept saying no and she kept bugging him. This would go on for MONTHS. It would be until Onaga suffered a stroke mid-argument with Mizuko after another show. After being taken to the hospital to be stabilized, Onaga would be told he could never wrestle again due to the cerebral damage he received throughout his wrestling career. Utterly devastated at hearing this news, Mr. Chiyoko didn’t know what he would do next in his life. While going through this midlife crisis, Onaga got his first hospital visit, and guess whoooooo. Onaga nearly had another stroke after seeing her enter his hospital room. Like before, Onaga would try to tell Mizuko to piss off once more until he saw her face. A face full of sadness and pent-up frustration. It was at that point, Mizuko couldn’t handle it anymore and broke down. Equally crying and insulting Onaga for not being willing to train her, Mizuko inadvertently poured Onaga her life story. After her sob-filled rant, Onaga would fire back by calling Mizuko a brat who should never treat her elders like this and should’ve been spanked more as a child. But Onaga would end his rant off with some understanding. He knew where Mizuko was coming from as his parents didn’t care too much about him as well since he was the middle child of a big family and ended up finding himself in the back of the group and not being able to impress his parents. So he turned to a life of crime before getting into wrestling. Begrudgingly and not having much of a choice in a career path now, he agreed to train Mizuko for a weekly fee.

From here things would change for Mizuko’s life and it could be argued for the better or for the worse. As Mizuko was taught the way of wrestling by Onaga, she would sometimes skip school just to work with him. She learned his infamous numb technique where she must channel the rawest parts of her emotions and make herself forget everything else around her just to feel it. In doing so, physical pain would become second thought and purely a later feeling. Mizuko struggled a bit in doing this technique as getting slammed, struck, and thrown around was awfully distracting for her. But submission holds… she wasn’t too bad at channeling Onaga’s numb technique while she was being put into them. Underneath his tutelage, Mizuko would start becoming a submission-focused wrestler.

Going back to Mizuko’s family, they noticed their oldest child’s grades were slipping and in trouble of failing. So they decided this was it. Mizuko was thrown out… Like yesterday's trash. She was old enough as a young adult and if she wasn’t going to focus on her education and become a surgeon like her dad- then she would not be living underneath their roof. Utterly distraught, Mizuko stole one of her favorite koi fishes and asked Onaga if she could move in with him. At first, he said absolutely not since he knew Mizuko would be an absolute nightmare to live with but seeing no other place for her to go, he reluctantly agreed. From there Mizuko’s knowledge and education would consist of purely wrestling and Onaga being sort of a father figure for her.

A few years went by and Mizuko officially dropped her education as she couldn’t really afford or care for it as she was cut off from her family. Her wrestling skills were getting to a point where she could start to debut. Her submissions skills were her biggest strength thanks to Onaga’s teachings and her specific knowledge of human biology thanks to her father’s immense insistence in taking it. From that year, Mizuko’s mentor and teacher would suffer another stroke… this time leaving him in a vegetative state, and would no longer able to walk or speak. From there Onaga would be admitted to a retirement home and spend the rest of his years in overlooked care. Sometimes, Mizuko would visit him to see how the old mean fart was doing…

From then on, Mizuko would wrestle freelance on the indie scene trying to build up a reputation and hopefully get a contract with any major wrestling company out there. At first, many companies weren’t interested in the small fighter, but things would soon change over the years. Due to Mizuko’s unique approach and style in utilizing submissions in her offense, somehow being impervious to many of them, and an expert in pissing off the fans; Mizuko would slowly grow a following. Love her, hate her, or simp for her- Mizuko was becoming more relevant in the Japanese wrestling indie scene. Fellow wrestlers would start avoiding taking matches against her so they wouldn’t have to see a chiropractor the next day which would only grow Mizuko’s reputation. Being known as the miny submission devil, Mizuko would finally be able to attract a wrestling league! A company that’s known as YBW (Yokai Battle Wrestling) signed Mizuko to a short-term contract to see how she would do. The league wasn’t expecting just in the coming year that Mizuko would become one of their biggest stars and end up getting into one of the biggest feuds in their company’s history. Taking under the mantle as the (Amanojaku) Mizuko would get into a rivalry with current Leviathan star; Umiko (Orochi) Sakaguchi! Their feud was legendary as it was the talk of the company for nearly two years. Finally, the two rivals would meet in what fans would think would be their final bout at Clash of the Spirits PPV. Although both ladies poured their hearts and souls into this bout, it would be none other than Umiko would be able to walk away as the winner!

Umiko and Mizuko’s feud was so well-talked about that even overseas companies were raving about getting the two in their fighting leagues. Just in time too, as both of the ladies’ contracts were up after Clashs of the Spirits PPV and would be free to sign with any company they please. Umiko Sakaguchi would sign with the young league at the time; Leviathan during a press conference after her PPV match! Many fans would not get the chance to truly take this moment in as none other than Mizuko would crash the contract signing. Announcing to the world that she TOO would be joining Leviathan so that their rivalry could continue! From there Mizuko would adopt her current codename and attire of being a Koi Fish within Leviathan.

Once the two ladies were in the black and blue brand, they both quickly climbed the ranks within Leviathan and established themselves as the premier wrestlers of the company. The pair even got promoted to be part of Leviathan’s elite team of fighters known as Team Trident! Within this new stable Mizuko and Umiko would have to learn to get along with each other as they competed around the world. As the years went by in Leviathan, the Mizuko as we know now has fallen quite a bit from the infamous run she used to have in the Japanese indies scene but is still a fierce and feared competitor indeed. Although Mizuko has found herself on quite a losing streak and ended up losing several of her previous matches due to ill-conceived plans that backfire or accident self-sabotage. Disappointed in her recent performance, Leviathan executives have decided to send the Koi Fish by herself on a world tour to compete in different leagues to hopefully cause Mizuko to recapture her momentum like in the past.

So this is how Mizuko ended up in LAW, hoping to not only represent Leviathan here but break some “bishes’” backs while she’s here. So LAW wrestlers be careful if you find yourself in the ring with Mizuko because she will show no mercy or care if you have back problems. Mizuko is here and her reign of destruction has just begun!

Wrestling information:
As it was already evident enough, Mizuko is a short 5'3 wrestler which plays a heavy annoyance in her combat. For being as small as she is, some combatants have issues getting a grip or grabbing her. She uses this to her advantage, because if he gets a grip on a limb of her opponent's- she's going to make the match a living hell for them. Expert in limb manipulation, Mizuko knows several different holds she could apply no matter the body part. If that wasn't terrifying enough, if your try and put her any submissions...they don't seem to work all too well on her for some reason. She might even enjoy them at times. Another aspect of her game is her psychological warfare, she will annoy you. She will piss you off, that is guaranteed. But if you act on your anger and give yourself up in any kind of opening, Mizuko will act on it and use it against you. So beware future opponents.

Preferred Attacks: Anything submission related

Hated attacks: Anything that relates to a chokehold (Mizuko finds these boring and hate being put into these)
