Geun turned into a narrow empty street, navigating her car swiftly to a small parking lot in front of a restaurant she chose. She knew there would be empty tables so their lack of reservation would not be an issue, besides, she knew the owners so they would work something out either way.
"I hope you like Korean food, it's hard to find it around here and I take any chance I get to come here. I promise, it's good." She said parking her car, an old but well-cared-for vehicle, then she moved to get out of it, waiting for her companion to follow her before heading to the restaurant.
The interior of the restaurant was warm and cozy, there were only a few customers there, just as Geun predicted. She made her way briskly to the counter. There she exchanged some words with a woman there in Korean before heading towards the stairs.
"Upstairs is empty, let's go there." She said leading Senji up and to a round table with a now extinguished grill in the middle of it. Among other things, this place must have served Korean barbeque as well. Then she took a seat and waited for him to join.

Soon enough after his match, Senji found himself being strung along towards a restaurant. Well, whether Geun knew it or not, this was one of the most common ways to tame a man. His stomach. That being said, Senji found his gaze peering off at the various sights of the spot in town she took him to. Personally, he would've preferred to drive. Much like her car, Senji had a inclination to take care of his own though it was probably more sporty than hers. He wasn't an overly knowledgeable car enthusiast, but he did love that Supra. He wanted to at least take care of it since the previous owner was no longer with him. Senji nodded along to Geun's desires but stopped short upon reaching the place where they were meant to sit.
After choosing what he was going to say, Senji took the spot to Haru's left. For attire, he'd swapped into a typical garb of his jersey and the long sleeved shirt underneath it alongside dark-colored pants and shoes for general purpose. Senji palmed his wallet instinctively, fondling the bills in the seam of it to check his count by feel. He dealt in cash nowadays as was his tendency to preferring payment in that way but he still had a bank account. He wasn't an elderly decrepit retiree stuck in his old ways, at least. There was also another reason for his tendency to strike up transactions via cash.
If Haru was inquisitive enough, she'd hear him give a heavy mutter towards her. The implications of this event were not completely lost on him.
"I could cook for you. I'm not terrible at it. I dislike having a lot of people over though. I mainly stick to Western and Japanese dishes, I've wished to branch out to other cultures but I hadn't got around to doing it."
That caused a low, dry chuckle. A small part of his mind didn't want to fuck this up like he accidentally did with Huan in his desire to 'fight'. His hands interlocked in front of himself, settling on the top of the round table. On the topic of his home, Senji lived a fair but not impossible distance away from L.A.W facilities. He got a small house made of great quality materials, making payments every month to free himself of the set plan (read: leash on his neck by the bank). Senji refrained from taking on many loans if he could help it, contributing to his decision to not purchase a big house despite his family's total income being enough to purchase a good-sized estate. That was a trait shared between Senji and Hiroyuki. They wanted to treat their future inheritance as a safety net or last resort. Not a everyday crutch. Leaving their mother to her own devices would be in their best interests. They both made enough to live off of anyhow so there'd be no need. Strangely, Senji and him didn't live together as some siblings might. Hell, LAW was the first time they spoke a fair amount and even then they had catching up to do when it became appropriate. Regarding Senji's feeling on Haru, he mainly came because she offered it to him and wasn't terrible to him thus far. Besides if any of his potential companions proved to be insane he could just evade, resist, and scamper off someplace else to try again for exaggeration.

"You can show off your cooking skills next time, and keep the wallet closed, I'm paying this time." Geun said reaching for menus and handing one to Senji, she already knew what she wanted to order but would still take a look. "I don't tend to spend much but I can afford to splurge from time to time." That was an understatement, even with sending much of her income to her family she still lived well below her means and could easily afford to spend. Still her relationship with money made it hard for her to part with easily but the food was one thing she didn't have a problem splurging on.

Well, from a certain perspective, Senji was getting paid back for Haru testing his spine out and choking the hell out of him. She did offer to cover this time. At least he hadn't been a potential jerk and not moved to pay anything at all. He unhanded his wallet and left it in his pocket. The same hand reached out for the menu so he could scan through it. Yellow orbs analyzed the dishes, observing their prices as well. Our protagonist, on the other hand, attempted to live within his means. After all, getting put on the street would not be a good look. He'd been less materialistic than a person of higher monetary standing. He also was on a beginner's salary in terms of his introductory employment with LAW. That was very far from poor hence his initial want to pay for the food. Haru put a quick stop to that though. He kept his eyes focused on the menu, observing it before deciding on Bulgogi and Gimbap. That was Korean BBQ meat and a selection of their version of the Japanese's sushi. Looks like he was sticking to something familiar. Senji wasn't intending on scorching his soul with something hellbound like Mapo Tofu, wherever he could find that. For the beverage, he thought about it. Mmmm...he tried to keep his diet healthy enough. Might as well give himself a bit of leeway. It'd be a glass of water and a sweetened tea. He'd work off the excess sugar in his weekly routine anyway. He settled in his mind what he wanted while putting his hands in his lap.
That done, Takijima's gaze shifted to look at Haru while she presumably still picked what she wanted. If they couldn't speak English or Japanese, then he'd need to decipher Korean based on context clues and limited prior knowledge. Same went for Russian, luckily most of them that he encountered in the past dabbled in accented English making it easier to understand them. He should likely strike up a conversation. It wasn't like he'd not be seeing her in the future given his tutelage under her bombshell "best friend".
"I'm ready, Geun.----How long have you been practicing martial arts?"

After quickly scanning the dishes on the menu, Geun settled on Bossam - steamed pork slices rolled together with kimchi and lettuce as well as beef Galbi for the barbecue.
"Waiter should be here in a moment. Well, practicing is a big word in my case. I had to learn from practice, a necessity when you grow up poor and where I lived. Proper learning will be about these 8 years. It was mostly Huan who showed me stuff though it was mostly polishing and let's just say I can be stubborn. How long have you been rolling on the mats?" Geun said before getting the attention of a waiter and passing on her order along with a request for a glass of water.

"Mmm. Well, it's been about..."
His lips curled as he mentally recalled the number. He should probably count where he had to slow down on his training due to other commitments. That meant the number would be...
"4 years in total. As you saw, I'm a fair amount more knowledgeable than an average blue belt. That's why Huan didn't kill me. Though, I have experience in fighting others out of my class. You wouldn't like the story, so I won't tell you."
Senji concluded in a plain fashion. There was a fair bit of hidden venom in that statement too. Seemed like she's not getting any more elaboration on THAT currently. A hand came to his neck, scratching at it out of habit and in remembrance of many legs and arms curling around it. Very fun times. Senji returned to that usual withdrawn silence he thrived in. He did tolerate Geun's company though. She was not a horrific host at all. On the previous note, he'd recognized strength-wise he was particularly up there. It's just his techniques that needed refinement. If he encountered someone too out of his capacity range, there'd be the option of bulking up a small amount more. He might even be getting a last minute growth spurt, judging by his family's history.
"----I enjoyed our fight though. Some of the stipulations LAW uses are a bit...out there."
Geun would find disgust creeping into his voice after the youthful delight echoed in the first statement. She might even guess what he was referring to. After this, he clammed up and kept his head pointed at the center of the table.

"You might be surprised at the stories I could tell but I won't be prying though you sure know how to spark curiosity." She replied before raising an eyebrow at the second statement. "Not a fan of hentai fights I reckon. Well, there will always be an audience for that and I think it's better to have it in an official league than some underground pit. Besides, with the right people, I think it can be fun. Though I understand it's not for everybody."

Senji upturned his gaze to face Geun again. He gave a slow nod to indicate his acknowledgement of her point. If he was ever assigned to do one, Senji couldn't really see himself feasibly being happy about it. An underground pit, huh? For the short time he was in that circle he decided he'd likely never be doing that again. The atmosphere was filled with debauchery and sin. If killing wasn't allowed, it still would be a brutal affair. Make no mistake, he wasn't exactly a stranger to death. It still struck him as being "wrong" to see regardless. That's the reason he also stayed away from Vale Tudo matches and the like. Though, they were becoming a little more regulated right? The "fun with the right people" statement made his eyebrows quirk. Was Geun making a sly remark towards him? He chose to not think about that before resolving to bury it in his subconsciousness.

"Either way, nobody is gonna force you, I'm pretty sure that standard contract allows you to refuse a match before its announcement."
Geun said as one of the restaurant staff came with hot coals to fill the grill. She shifted to the side to see Senji better as they continued to talk.
"I'm not gonna lie, I'm used to fights with much fewer rules. Here I think it's better than where I used to do it, at least there is a ref to stop people from going overboard, and in general I feel people are less keen on inflicting serious harm."

Ah so she was similar him in that regard too. The second point, that is. Senji added a verbal agreement to his response now, as to not leave the air too silent.
"Yes, I don't want break my opponents."
["---when they've not done anything to me."]
Usually, he attempted to keep a calm and pleasant disposition. However he had been an absolute driven monstrosity in those special circles he'd been forced go along with for the sake of his goal. He didn't do that anymore so there wasn't any need to be as bloodlusted, only cautious and conservative. Senji glanced down at the coals as they filled the grill and were scorching to cook any food that needed to be tended to. His next conjecture only made sense given his background. As previously stated, rolling on the mat was something familiar to him as was the chosen outfit. Being paid for it was an icing on the cake too! As natural progression came, he'd be able to earn more and more money. A strong foundation would be made; that was for sure as long as things went to plan for his fresh start. He touched his zipper, pulling it down about halfway to not be at victim to discomfort either from the hot food or any warm temperatures inside the restaurant.
"So far, I only really like submission-focused matches or the one we fought under."
