A fountain of energy and excitement wherever she goes. It’s almost impossible to get her down or angry for that matter, though the latter is more plausible, just not for long. She is an overly friendly, in-your-face kind of person, which people find either infuriating or endearing.
Past that, though there is another level of wildness to her spirit, she has been on more than one occasion called sex obsessed. While this might be just a little bit of an exaggeration she absolutely can't pass up an opportunity to either flirt with others or make some uncomfortable remarks.

Akiko's parents are a curious pair, on one hand, a proud continuator of a family business of traditionally made fireworks, and on the other now retired pro wrestlers. Having such parents (along with three younger siblings) had to result in someone of a rather distinct personality. From a young age, Akiko had instilled in her a certain carefree attitude and love for all things fun. It’s not to say she is by any means dumb or blind to the problems around her but always approaches them and all she does with a smile, knowing that giving them too much thought only makes things worse.
In trade, she was not satisfied with following in the footsteps of just one of her parents, having love in equal measure for both. For making fireworks, learning from her father, and later deciding to start studying chemistry seemed enough but the wrestling, there was a bigger nut to crack. Learning the basics was simple enough, having a mother that could help with that but it wouldn't be enough. Akiki would start bouncing in and out of a few wrestling schools, finding all of them to be too uptight but gaining some valuable skills while she was there. When she decided she was ready to start competing, she distinctively steered clear of her mother’s old promotion, she would have no problem getting in but she wanted to get where she wanted to be on her own merit.
It wouldn’t take long, she started relatively small but smashed through the tryouts and soon she was ready to get between the ropes for real. To say she had a meteoric rise would be like saying nothing, she quickly became a favorite of the fans and was basically the face of the whole promotion for a while. The only reason she wasn’t picked up sooner was how short she actually was competing, but with help of a certain then stranger she would be reached out by LAW agents soon and switched promotions, though for LAW to do that they had to agree on a certain not so short release period that was kept under the table.
The other important change to her life that came at that time was meeting Kenshin, initially, she felt awkward about his lack of strong reactions to her all-over-the-place kind of personality, she was used to getting some rise out of people but eventually, she enjoyed hanging out with him more, and the sense of calm about him made her feel comfortable and it seemed that he to appreciated the chaos she brought to his life, seeming to come more alive with her around, from there it wouldn't be long until they crossed the boundary form just being good friends to something more.
The most recent development in her life before making it to LAW was meeting a young exchange student at her university. As it happened she got recognized by the girl from her prior work in wrestling and they hit it off from there. Their similar love of chaos and fun certainly helped with that. And speaking of chaos even though non of this was planned the way it turned out (it was just supposed to be some no-commitment fun) Ilaria ended up joining both her and Kenshin as their other partner. Even stranger still, even though the girl has absolutely no skill as a wrestler she managed to somehow get to tryouts and pass through to getting signed full-time.
