A tournament solely based on toughness - that's how Chika viewed Last Woman Standing. The tourney has become an annual LAW tradition, with the winners going ahead to do various amount of success in LAW. One had to look at the last year's winner for the evidence of that.

With her toughness and endurance, she believed nothing could stop her from going the whole way and winning.

Chika came out to the ring in her usual get up, wearing her Raven Armor as she proudly walked to the ring, hands raised up to acknowledge the crowd cheering for her. Though her opponent tonight was a relative newbie in wrestling, underestimating her would be the last thing she'd do. It would be too embarrassing to think about a loss because she took a less experienced opponent less seriously.

Once in the ring, she took off her Raven helmet, placed it in the corner, and did a little kick show off to the cheers from the crowd, before coming back towards the ring, doing stretches as she waited for her opponent.

The Last Woman Standing Tournament. At this point it was a long held, prolific tournament unique to LAW. The event almost following We Are Law to herald the new year with a series of brutal contests between LAW’s most promising competitors.

One could only look back at the previous year’s winner to see what a win here could do for one’s career. Thats why Sheena Akan, known as Wisteria Khan in the ring decided to participate in this years event. Even against the advice of her famoly she felt the risk was worth it for the potential boon that could come with it.

So there she was, stretching her arms and neck backstage, her opponet had just made her entrance, so she’d be up soon. Chika Igarashi. Sheena knew the name well, she had seen the women in indie events, both online and even in person. So she knew for a fact the woman was extemely skilled and winning would be no easy task.

But she liked a challenge.

Soon her music began playing and Sheena came out on with her arm in the air. Posing for the cheering crowd Sheena let them throw their praises her way. After a few moments she began her match down to the ring. A confident sway and expression on her face as made her way down to the ring.

Climbing the steps and walking along the apron, Sheena threw her leg up and over the middle rope beofre slipping through. Walking to the center of the ring she stared Chika down for a moment before bowing respectfully to the woman. “I want you to know that no matter how this match goes, I have respect for you as a competitor and its a honor to compete against you.” She said respectfully as she stood up straight and made her way to her own corner

Comparing Wisteria and Chika physically, it seemed like the bigger woman had it in the back. While Chika's frame and strength was not to be underestimated, Wisteria was simply built better in every way from the looks of things, from her muscles to her abs. Even Chika couldn't deny - her opponent simply looked powerful.

There was a difference, however, between being built for a combat, and being ready for it. Experience played a big part in wrestling, and even if Wisteria was born for wrestling, she was still a relative beginner in the ring. In addition, last year's winner, against all odds, was a lightweight. Keeping all of these factors in mind still made Chika the more favorable victor in this match.

Still, even if she was a beginner, Wisteria was fairly humble, showing her respect to the veteran, to which Chika warmly smiled:

"The pleasure is all mine Khan-san. Fighting as hard as you can would be the best way to show your respect towards me."

As she said that, she bowed back, before standing ready to fight her rival in the match, waiting for the bell to ring...

After bowing in respect to her opponet Sheena stepped back, waiting to see how her opponet responded. After all it wasn’t every day you fought against a veteran, especially ome you were a fan of. But she couldn’t afford to get starstruck here or at any point, she needed to stay focused and fight hard.

If anything Chika only reinforced this thought with what she said. “Hai I will do my best... Igarashi-Senpai.” Sheena said with a nod to the woman as she waited for the bell to ring which soon.. it would.

As rhe sound reverberated through the arena Sherna raised her arms up. Chika was a fast striker, so the purple haired girl knew attempting to trap her in a lock up would be a mistake. Instead she’d wait fir the woman to come to her so she could try and counter whatever she’d try to do.

With the politeness exchanged between two competitors, the bell would ring to signal the start of the bout...

...and it wouldn't ring again until one of them was beaten up so badly by the other that they couldn't continue.

Wisteria would raise her arms up...surely she knew it was a risky tactic? Letting a striker like her get too close to her would mean a sure kick in her front...meaning Wisteria had something in mind.

She carefully edged towards the bigger wrestler, fearful of Wisteria jumping out and taking her down with a strike of her own...

And once close enough, she'd unleash a hard kick to her rival's leg!

Sheena had her hands up in preparation as she waited for the bell to ring. The pleasantries had been exchange, respect given, now all that was left was for them to put eachother through the ring till one wasn’t able to stand back up again.

Watching Chika carefully the youngest Akan knew this would all come down to timing. Her opponet was a devastating striker and if given the chance she was sure she could knock her out with one hit if it was placed well enough with enough force.

That’s why as Chika approached she waited, and waited, then as Chika raised her leg up for a kick she sprung forward!

Pushing forward on tense legs Sheena exploded forward while pushing up to leap into the air. Tucking herself in a bit she tensed her body as she aimed to drive her whole weight into Chika’s body mid kick. She may have taken a glancing blow to her side but it wouldn’t be adirect hit. And in exchange she’d hopefully bring Chika down to the mat as a result of her flying shoulder tackle!

The moment Chika lifted her leg, the world started going way too fast for Chika to understand what was going on. Suddenly, Wisteria leaped forward at her, nailing her shoulder into Chika's gut!

"UUUUGH!"

She felt her leg find her mark, but it was clear Wisteria had the upper hand in the exchange, the Raven Knight painfully impacting the canvas with her back!

“Ugnnnn....” Sheena immediately grimaced as she felt a leg agaisnt her side. It stung but wasn’t anythint she couldn’t live with. Besides give a little gain a lot. With her successful dive into the raven she had knocked the older woman off her feet and on her back.

‘Good.’ Thought Sheena as she raised herself up into a sittint position, purposely putting her weight on Chika’s legs to immobilize what she beleived to be the most dangerous weapons she had.

Then, knowing she had preciosu seconds Sheena brought both of her hands up above her head clasped together. She would then bring them down with as much strength as she could muster for a axe handle strike to Chika’s gut!

Right as Chika tried to sit back up, she felt enormous pressure on her legs, Wisteria trapping them under her weight as she sat down on them, thr Raven Knight barely able to wiggle her deadliest weapon, as her rival raised both hands up for her next attack.

Quickly, using her core strength, Chika sat up, now face to face with her aggressor, as she shot her forearm forward to strike Wisteria on the jaw!

Part one of bringing Chika to the mat had been a success. Even part two of trapping her legs beneath her weight worked. But unfortunately she couldn’t quite strike the women’s abdomen in time before she found a elbow to the face.

“Agh!” She grunted out in pain, her head fkying to the side, her hands immediately breaking from eachother and coming around her from the blow. Even so Sheena wasn’t so easily deterred. Clenching her fists she threw it around to try and send her own elbow strike at the now sat up Chika’s face!

While her legs were her deadliest weapons, that didn't mean Chika had nothing in regards to strikes with her arms. While not as skilled at those, her forearms were still powerful enough to send an unaware heavyweight flying.

Wisteria however was strong enough to hold the attack, and respond with a returning elbow strike!

"AUUGH!"

Chika barely kept herself upright, balancing on her right arm, before having an idea, slamming her left forearm into Wisteria's side, the exact spot she nailed with her kick!

Sheena had taken the first forearm unaware and it rocked her for a solid second. Thankfully she managed to recover and respond with a blow of her own nearly knocking Chika back.

But the woman was certainly nothing if not resilient. She had taken Sheena’s return shot and responded right back. However rather tha going for her face again Chika responded with a forearm to her side!

The same side struck at a glance from Chika’s kick as a result of Sheena’s flying shoulder tackle. “Agh!” Immediately Sheena fell off Chika’s body, clutching her side while trying to roll aewy from her opponet, knowing how vulnerable she’d be in that position.

Chika smiled. It was one thing to take and get through a hard hit to your head...it was another when the place that was already hurt is attacked again.

Chika would slide back up to her feet as Wisteria did a tactical retreat away from the Raven Knight...as she promptly gave chase, jumping and trying to nail her with a swift running knee drop on her stomach!

‘Damn that hurt’ Sheena thought to herself rubbing her side with a grimace. Propling herself to her knees she knee that Chika wouldn’t give her time to rest. After all the woman had the advantage now, she’d be crazy not to press it. Still in spite of knowing that it was coming her eyes widened seeing the veteran already in the air for what would surely be a devasting hit!

Acting half out of strategy, and half out of instinct Sheena rolled to the side to hopefully escape the double knee drop even if barely. If she was successful Sheena would push herself up while swinging her leg around to try and nail Chike with a sweeping kick just after she landed!

"AUUUUGH!", Chika screamed out as her knees hit the hard canvas instead of Wisteria's body, grimacing in slight hurt as she tried to get up...realizing too late that her foe had a quick plan of counter attack!

"GUAAK!", she let out as the kick nailed her in her side, sending her flying away as she landed on her back away from Wisteria!

Wisteria sighed in relief before grimacing as she heard Chika’s scream of pain from the failed double knee. The consolation being the fact that had she not dodged she would have been the one screaming in pain.

Swinging her leg out Sheena pushed herself up with her momentum to try and get right into a standing position. Seeing her opponet flat on her back before her Sheena knew this would be a perfect chance to press an advantage.

Quickly moving forward she attempted to grab each of the older woman’s legs by the ankles. Lifting them up under her arms Sheena dragged Chika’s body close to a corner. If successful Sheena took a quick, deep breath before throwing herself back to catapult Chika face first into the corner!

With Chika prone on the canvas, she was easy pickings for Wisteria to grab her legs and drag her towards a corner...a set up that, unfortunately for her rival, Chika was familiar with.

As the bigger woman fell down, Chika was launched into the corner...and, midflight, Chika managed to pick her legs from under her, managing to land and steady them on the middle rope!

The crowd was wooed by the display of acrobatics on Chika's part, but the Raven Knight wasn't done, hopping off and flipping in midair to take Wisteria down with a Quebrada!
