Since she had announced her return to the ring at We Are LAW 2020, Cecilia Lombard had been waiting for the chance to show how much she had grown. She had spent all the time leading up to this honing her skills and preparing to make her return an unforgettable one - and not just for the fans, but for any opponents unfortunate enough to be on the wrong side of her as well. Cecilia had a point to make. She was here to establish she was no one to be trifled with, but someone to be feared. And she'd take down anyone she had to in order to prove that.

Such was the case for tonight, as Cecilia sat backstage, preparing herself for her next match. Apparently, her opponent was a new signee to LAW, set to face Cecilia for her debut match. But Cecilia just scoffed at the thought of it. All it meant was that whoever she was up against had no idea what she was in for, and if she was new to the ring, she wouldn't have any trouble tearing her apart. A smirk came to the corners of her lips, just anticipating the torments she'd put her through.

"Coming first to the ring, from Detroit, Michigan! At 5'6 and weighing 135 pounds, CECILIA LOMBARD!"

As Cecilia's entrance was called, she stepped onto the ramp amidst darkness. But with each stomp of her foot and each beat of the music, more lights came on, illuminating Cecilia's path to the ring. She passed the rows of fans without a thought, keeping her attention on the ring before her; she was here to prove her own superiority, and she didn't care how many people's hatred she got in the process. Soon, she arrived at the ring, where she slipped through the ropes, rolling into her corner. There, she straightened herself to her feet, bending her neck and back and letting her joints creak and pop as she readied herself.

"Let's get this over with," Cecilia muttered. "Whoever this bitch is...it's a pity her first match won't go so well for her..."

Roxanne began her pre-match stretches, Roxanne knew a bit of her opponent, knowing she had a rough upbringing, and she was from Detroit, just about a mirror of herself, equal and opposite. Roxanne didn't care about that, though. After a bit of a ruckus from the LAW crowd, she got the cue to enter the vaunted LAW arena for the first time in her life:

"COMING DOWN THE ISLE, FROM MAPLESVILLE, ALABAMA, STANDING IN AT 5'8" AND WEIGHING IN AT 145 LBS, ROXANNE ROSE!" bellowed the ring bellowed, as if he was excited to get this match started. Roxanne came out to a reletively positive response. Roxanne was not one for brags and fuss, so she entered the ring without a lot of pizzazz. She got a good look at her opponent, who had RBF big time. No matter, this wasn't about who looked scariest, that one might go to the Prophet, wherever he ran off too. Roxanne nodded to her opponent.

"Let the thundering Tide roll..."

Roxanne made her entrance, coming down the ramp toward the ring, but all the while Cecilia hung back with her arms crossed. She couldn't say she was all that impressed. Of course, this was Roxanne's first match, and anything could happen. Cecilia couldn't rule out the possibility that Roxanne would surprise her; she just didn't think it was very likely.

"...hmmph," she grumbled, watching as her opponent took her position in front of her. What did cause Cecilia to raise a curious eyebrow was when Roxanne had a few words to say - but she still wasn't moved. "Yeah, cute catchphrase you've got," Cecilia muttered. "It isn't going to help you."

*DING DING DING*

It didn't take long before the sound of the bell heralded the start of the match. Cecilia leaned in closer, raising her arms as she assumed a stance. She was ready to lock up with Roxanne, but when that happened, she'd have other plans in store.

"This bitch..." thought Roxanne as the bell rang. It seemed that the LAW higher ups had a sense of humor in sticking a small-town farm girl from Alabama with a city slicker like Cecilia. No matter, it seemed that this girl was all business, and she kind of admired that. It looked like Cecilia wanted a test of strength, so Roxanne oblidged. She locked up, and, at least for the time being, their strength was pretty equal...

Roxanne's first mistake would be in expecting a fair fight from Cecilia. The test of strength was well known as a position where wrestlers met each other on equal footing, leaving whoever was the strongest to take control. But Cecilia never wanted to meet anyone as an equal when she could meet them as a superior, and she was always on the lookout for whatever tactics she might be able to use to her advantage in turning the tide. Many who were familiar with her knew that - but Roxanne was new, and she wouldn't have any idea what she was in for. Cecilia, though, would quickly introduce her to the way things worked.

For a moment, she would struggle and push against Roxanne, as though she was genunely trying to gain control of the test of strength. But that was only to deny any suspicions on her. Then, hoping Roxanne was distracted, Cecilia would kick out with her foot, targeting her opponent's ankle. She hoped that in doing so, she could break Roxanne's concentration enough for her to let her guard down - and if she did, Cecilia would slip behind her, going to lace her arms underneath Roxanne's own and pull back into a Nelson hold!

Roxanne was impressed with Cecillia so far: They seemed about equal, Roxanne was about to break the lockup when she noticed Cecellia's foot going toward her ankle. She instinctively moved her foot out of the way, only for Cecilia to suddenly break the lock and quickly get behind her and lock in a full nelson! Roxanne grunted s pressure was applied to her neck, "You're a clever girl, I'll give you that..." Roxanne grunted as she struggled in the hold. She soon had a thought. She would simply drop to the ground to break the hold, and while she was down there, she would sweep Cecilia's legs, hoping to trip up the tough Detroit native...

Cecilia had to admit, she was surprised that Roxanne noticed she was about to sweep her ankle. She had been counting on the girl being too distracted by the test of strength to notice that she was targeting her footing, and when Roxanne stepped aside she felt begrudgingly impressed with her awareness and quick reactions. But it didn't take long for Cecilia to realize that whether Roxanne had been tripped or not, her focus had still been broken - and that gave her the time she needed to slip around her back, as she threw her arms into place around her head and neck, bending her back in a Nelson hold!

Gritting her teeth, Cecilia leaned back further, aiming to stretch at Roxanne's spine. She heard her opponent praise her, and that could only make her smirk, as she whispered back her response. "Thank you. But flattery will get you nowhere..." She then leaned back some more to put more torque on her foe's back - but just then, things changed.

Suddenly, Roxanne ducked down, slipping right out of Cecilia's grasp! She stopped for a moment, looking down in shock; she hadn't been expecting Roxanne to be so capable. But Cecilia quickly shook that out of her mind - as wily as her opponent was, she couldn't let it stop her from keeping the pressure on her. She bent down closer, looking to pull Roxanne back up - and that was when she kicked out at Cecilia's legs. Interrupted, Cecilia stumbled back, still doubled over forward at the waist. While she would stay on her feet, she went back toward the ropes, taking her eyes off Roxanne in the process and disrupting her momentum.

Her opponet was tricky, sure, but so was Roxanne. She slipped out of her opponent's hold and managed to trip uo her opponent, though not flat on her ass as Roxanne would've hoped. Still, an opportunity was an opportunity, so as soon as she saw that Cecillia's back was to her on the ropes, she quickly got behind her and lifted her up in a German suplex, hoping to swing momentum in the Alabamian's favor...

Cecilia groaned, clenching her teeth as she doubled forward toward Roxanne. This wasn't a place she wanted to be - not only did it open her up to further attack, Cecilia was not someone who wanted to look weak in front of anyone, and particularly not in front of her opponents. While she hadn't lost her footing, she was still doubled over forward, and in doing so she was left vulnerable. That was something Roxanne was quick to take advantage of - as she got behind Cecilia and hoisted her up, swinging her back into a German suplex!

Cecilia's head, neck, and shoulders made impact with the mat, shaking the ring off her landing. Groaning under her breath, she sank into the canvas, laid out flat and stunned.

Roxanne smiled as she heard her opponent hit the ground with a thud. It wasn't everyday that Roxanne got to play with a tomboy like Cecilia. She could never admit it in her home state of Alabama, but, she was bisexual, and Cecilia was admittedly kind of cute. No matter, she could ask her out later, right now she had a match to win. Roxanne crawled over to where Cecilia had fallen, and dug her hands into her belly in an abdominal claw! She didn't expect to get a submission here, but, she did expect to infict pain on her opponent, as well as further wear down the Detroit native...
