Backstory: Sumire had a seemingly perfect life, as she received a Shujin scholarship and was nearly uncontested in gymnastic competitions. Her father pushed both Sumire and her sister Kasumi into gymnastics because they both enjoyed it. Even sharing the same coach at the time. Kasumi was a quick learner, but Sumire had trouble remembering most of her moves. However, her coach rewarded the twins with ice cream for good performances, which Kasumi would always share with her no matter what. Kasumi also arranges most of the twins' daily life, including Sumire's bedroom, with the exception of preparing dishes, since compared to Sumire, she was a mediocre cook. Eventually, both sisters promised to go to internationals as a sister duo. Sumire though would feel a sort of sadness when practicing gymnastics with her sister. Kasumi was just so good at everything, by no means was Sumire bad. It was just that Kasumi out shined her in every way. Despite peers telling her otherwise. Sumire knew and this would make her depressed. Furthered by Kasumi deciding most of the things between them, the jealousy against her older sister resulted into Sumire even going as far as denouncing herself as someone who wouldn't be pitied even if she died, Kasumi would try her best to cheer up her sister. But nothing would get through to her. Knowing that gymnastic was a factor in her sisters depression, Kasumi would try to get Sumire into other things together. That way Sumire was not always comparing herself to Kasumi. Still wanting her to continue gymnastics though. So the plan started, they would try working out, specifically exercises that they did not do due to their gymnastics training. At first it helped for a little while, but Sumire’s mind would wander into their gymnastics training. So that was a no go, since Sumire was more into other athletics in general than her sister. The sisters would try track and field, swimming, volleyball. Kasumi would be happy just by seeing her sister happy. But as their lives were, gymnastics eventually came back. Why is it something they both put the same amount of time into, Kasumi was always better Sumire thought. Both are honor students in highschool. Even at which point they got into a prestigious college because of gymnastics. Sumire couldn’t help but feel that Kasumi dragged her to victory, also holding her back. Being honor students there also. So why? All of those negative feelings came back like a tidal wave. Kasumi only thinking whats best for her sister joked that they beat the depression. Literally. Thats where the idea for combat sports came in, whoa and behold that Sumire actually out preformed Kasumi. Be it kickboxing, boxing and a bit of mma. The real one though was wrestling. Kasumi pointed out how their gymnastics skills would transfer well into squared ring. Sumire at first reluctant but still gave it a shot. Even more shocking to her, despite Kasumi’s best efforts. She could never pin Sumire once, Sumire always beating her sister. It was the first time Sumire felt competent, taht she was actually better than her sister at something. The two even joked about going pro, with ridiculous wrestling names with over the top costumes. Sumire dubbing herself as violet. It was all thanks to her loving sister that Sumire was able to find something to call her own. Though life is not as kind, it came time for the international competitions and Sumire did not qualify while Kasumi did. Yes Sumire found other hobbies thanks to Kasumi, but why was she lacking in the one thing she put the most time into. Sumire felt many feelings but the main one was depression. On the day of [redacted] a freak accident occured. One in which Kasumi was found dead as a result, saving her sister. This time period was the worst one in Sumire’s life. The agonizing idea that this was all [redacted] knowing she had to live with that. It was a constant debate whether or not she continues. Though she still kept up her hobbies and gymnastics. Old habits die hard. It wasn’t until some time in college where she met some people. People that would change Sumire’s life for the better, helping Sumire get over her sister. While also giving her life purpose, when Sumire thought otherwise. Thanks to these friends who she considers family now, Sumire is fully happy with her gymnastics skills. Whilst also picking up wrestling seriously, though mainly to keep the idea of her sister alive. A gymnast and wrestler what an interesting combination, wonder where her path leads.
