A Return to Form: Ayumi Sato vs. Lena Oxton

Ayumi Sato was not one if not easy to read at times, which could be for the better or worse depending on the situation. In this case, the magician & wrestling "star" was in the backstage area muffed as she glanced at the lineup for the card. No matches for her today, which was a bit annoying how could they not book her for the show?

Ayumi had her cheeks buffed as she looked at the card with envy, the nerve of these people to exclude her from the show!

Ayumi had the looks, the charm and (In her head at least) the talent to put on a show with anyone and everyone so the fact she was left off the card left her feeling a bit slighted. Ayumi would not allow this injustice to stand, with with a twirl of her hair she would begin to walk over along the hall as she aimed to try and find management so she could give them a piece of her mind. Maybe some "persuasion" would help them recognize on the meal ticket that they were being blind to not cashing in.

As Ayumi walked down the hall, she heard some commotion by what seemed to be the interview area. Huh? Did someone had a spot booked for this, Ayumi decided it was too curious not to investigate as she made her way over to the area to get a peak at just what or who was in the area.

"Good morning to the L.A.W. faithful, I am here coming to you live with a very special guest. Making her hightly anticipated return to the L.A.W. facility it is one Lena Oxton, though should I refer to you as Tracer? Regardless I suppose the first thing our faithful fans would like to know is how does it feel to be back and how are you feeling in general?"

It seemed some LAW interviewer was getting an exclusive with some woman that Ayumi had heard about. This "Tracer" or Lena Oxton who was coming back from a bad injury though Ayumi being a relative newcomer had little knowledge of her but she listened on from her hidden view every curious.

Decked out in her form fitting graffiti ring gear, Tracer leaned back in her chair, not fully used to being in front of the camera for a one on one interview. True she wan't bothered being filmed during a match, but by that point there was more than a dozen things on her mind that the fact she was being filmed was so far out of mind for her that it didn't matter.

SO lost in her own thoughts, she nearly missed the question from the interviewer, "Oh! Well....I...uh...I feel great! These last few months have been hell for me after the major beating I took at Tokyo Brawl. Minor damage to my spine, but it was serious enough to put me on the shelf. I only have myself to blame though. I shouldn't have run in half cocked into the Brawl in my condition. But now I feel healthy and as strong as ever. Besides the medical tape, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference!"

Ayumi listened to the women who seemed a bit sheepish in front of the interviewer's mic but otherwise seemed to come with a respectful modesty as it seemed she was being asked about her return to the ring. Seems she was a popular face that had suffered a bad injury as she commented on her condition.

Her back was healed, by her own words, though had a stash across it anyway. Interesting...

That's great! I am certain I speak for the loyal LAW fans when I say we are thankful to hear the good news. Since you are back, do you think you can share perhaps some of your personal goals for your comeback run here?" The interviewer asked as he had a mic on display for Lena to use while he waited for an answer on this hot topic question.

Lena leaned back in her seat, contemplating her thoughts and trying to form them into something coherent. TO be honest......she wasn't sure. In her time away, all sorts of things had spiraled out of control. Maria's old rival, Dave's recent losing streak, and the unrelenting attacks between her and OCB since their first match. In truth, there was A LOT on her mind. But she instead opted for the safer answer.

"Getting my groove back in the ring is the first step. Some wins under my belt wouldn't hurt. I'm not as concerned about titles right now. I have more....personal issues to take care of before I dip my toe in that pond...."

As Ayumi listened to Lena's goals and her desires to get some wins on her belt, that was when she decided to strike. If this girl wanted some matches, she'd give them and this girl may be just the name she needed as she hid a sly toothy smirk while she advanced out to the interview area.

"Well that is great to hear I am sure the L.A.W. faith..." The interviewer began to say, before Ayumi made her presence known as she walked up to Lena and cut the interviewer off with a gesture. Given that these were pro athletes and this interviewer failed PE class before it was best not to intervene as Ayumi scanned Lena up and down before she locked eyes with her.

"So, looking for some action on this big comeback tour of yours~" Ayumi said with a sly grin and her trademark toothy grin as she made the comments Lena's way.

Lena was listening intently to the interviewer when the strange girl barged on in with her toothy grin. Looking up from her seat, Lena didn't say a word while Ayumi mouthed off her question, slowly standing up and walking right up to Ayumi's face. The intruder had a good 4 inches on Tracer, but if she was intimidated, she didn't show it.

"That depends....you offering to get your arse kicked?" Lena shot back, tilting her head to the side. The interviewer, to her credit, slunk away without so much as a peep, but the cameraman was able to get up closeand capture the moment between the two wrestlers perfectly

"Oh this ass ain't anyone's kickstand I assure you. And yeah, I am offering to give you a "welcome back" to L.A.W. if that is what you are asking." Ayumi replied as she had her confident smirk on display even if internally she took offense to the comment as she flicked her hair behind the ear before she added on.

"So consider this a challenge. Course, if you are too scared to lose on your return you can always surrender in private~" Ayumi said as the camerman made sure to capture all of this as the challenge was thrown on the table for Lena.

Lena crossed her arms over her chest, her jaw set in a iron growl, "No....I fought people far stronger than you.....so fear isn't a factor at all. Name the time and place when I can pin you and I'll be on my merry way!"

She wasn't backing down, the cameraman grinning at the thought of all the good footage he was getting! A red hot challenge to start the programming and here he was capturing the spark that lit the flames!

"Why not tonight? Far as I can tell I don't have anything booked, and neither do you. I am sure the fans would love this added to the card~" Ayumi said with a sly smirk as she seemed to take Lena's comments literally which naturally and probably got a gasp from the crowd.

Newcomer to the scene or not, Ayumi seemed bold and confident as she gave her time and place to Lena and waited for an answer from the fan favorite vet.

Raising an eyebrow, Lana considered the offer for a moment. SOme may argue it was too soon for her to return to action after injury. But how else could she determine whether she could truly hang with the rest of the women's division in LAW? Her lips pulled back in a small smile, with the Brit flashing Ayumi a wink, "All right then...you got yourself a match. Hope you aren't expecting an easy win sweetie."
