Shin Kurone {Debut} vs Blanco Sombre
Shin Kurone to the stage, Shin Kurone to the stage!
Hohoho! Here it was, the time had finally come! After being signed on to LAW and then months of false-starts and dead-ends, he’d finally been securely booked to make a debut into the wrestling world. The anxiety of wondering how he was going to pay his bills was nothing new, but the disappointment sure was. He had begun to think that, much like his film career, the promo vids he had shot had tanked, so he was sufficiently shocked when he finally got a call to lace up and show down.
Much like he prepared for his films, Shin had started with a bit of background research about the match. Blanco Sombre, legacy wrestler with world-wide experience was what the internet had given him, alongside Blanco’s success in the film industry. When a quick look at his filmography turned into an all-nighter bingefest, what he was more interested in the end was Blanco’s storied resume. He’d starred in a litany of weird little films, the exact same kind of B-role stuff Shin had been dipping his toes in.And best of all, the rumor mill was speculating that Blanco was feeling around the idea of producing his own feature sometime in the future? That was something Shin had to get in on.
And that lead to today! The match he probably should have hit the gym a little bit more for. He still maintained the ridiculous zero point body fat diet that kept his image relevant on Instagram, but he hadn’t really been in a position where he could finance the maintenance of an ideal weight. As he held an arm up to flex in the mirror, he seemed just a tiny bit frustrated with the size. Hopefully the pay for this match would be enough to cover him for a bit, and then he could focus on foods that were going to—
Oh right, he was supposed to be somewhere right now! He quickly jogged from the dressing room through the backstage to the curtains, just in time to take a quick 10 second breather as the lights dimmed and they started playing his music. For his debut he’d been outfitted with a relatively simple black and silver pair of pants, coupled with a silver wristband for one arm and a black wristband for the other, finished off by black boots. As he burst out from behind the curtain, the lights came up and he threw his arms up into the air, prompting two golden glitter-and-tinsel cannons to pop off as the announcer rambled off his name and stats.
The audience response wasn’t quite so positive as he was hoping, but he tried to remain hopeful considering this would be the first time many had ever heard of him. He sort of half-dances, half-walks as he makes his way to the ring, trying to have fun with the absurdity of just how many pairs of eyes were trained on him. He hopped the side of the ring and slipped through the top and middle ropes, standing up tall and proudly putting his hands on his hips. A casual glance at the big screen let him know he had a bit of the tinsel caught in his air, to which some quick thinking instructed him to swipe away and sprinkle to the mat as if it were part of his shtick.
Shin focuses his eyes in on the ramp as the fanfare dies down and the audience turns their attention to the bigger name to be stepping into the ring:
BLANCO SOMBRE!
Shin Kurone to the stage, Shin Kurone to the stage!
