A Bet with Benefits [Drifter/Constrictor]

Katherine let out a huge sigh as she finished her workout, lying back against the soft mat and left panting after finishing off with a long exercise of crunches. She was clad in little more than a white sports bra that coated only her chest, wearing combats that ended at her mid shins. The Drifter couldn't afford actual training gear yet, and thus had to largely rely on her spare clothes for training. Hence the combats rather then something more suitable. Still, it was adequate enough on most days, but today was a particularly hot day in Japan, and as such it was sweltering in the mats room of the gym.

Her exposed shoulders, her bare stomach and her shins and feet were all glistening with sweat from the work out, revealing an amazing athletic figure for the Canadian. Despite everything she was in the best shape she had ever been having joined the LAW, using their gym facilities most nights to make sure her body was ready for whatever the LAW threw at her. Plus, on the nights she could not afford a roof over her head, it was good to hang in the gym so at least she had somewhere. The water was free here, and often she could buy a cheap snack to keep her going.

She wiped the sweat from her brow, but remained lying on her back for now, breathing deep before she stretched her body. It was quite the work out, but given how good her stamina was she knew after a few minutes she would be good to go again, and just as intense as before. For now however she was content to lie and take a sip from the bottle of water besides her. However, she sat up when she could hear someone approach, feeling it on the mat as it shifted ever so slightly.
"Oh... hello. I didn't think anyone else would be here this late." Katherine whispered with a smile, seeing she was not alone.

Valentina was watching the girl training in the gym alone, the last time she stumbled upon another beauty at the dead of night she figured that there was more potential to be had with finding other beautiful girls and it looked like she had found just that. She watched her train, sweat sheening off of her body as Valentina was getting more and more interested, those keen muscles tensing from the workout, she couldn't resist as she moved forward. The girl became aware of her presence as she let out a smile.

"Hello there." she called out as she approached the girl sitting on the ground, "This has become my usual time to come to the gym, I've been busy during the day that it takes a lot of my time," Valentina explained, the last time it was legitimate. Now it was just an excuse to show up around here, most of her 'new contract' dealings had been cleared.

"Now I ask, why are you here? Did you also have your time hold up during the day?"

"You could say that." Katherine replied, dancing around the truth as it were. She felt somewhat ashamed of admitting she was simply here because it was a roof to have over the head during the night time hours. Her funds were little and what came in was often dreggs after she had made all her usual payouts. As such she could not afford to stay in a capsule hotel which she frequented when money was going spare.

It was not all doom and gloom however, as being in a gym helped her get into shape. She was now on LAW's payroll, and she was making sure she was fit enough for her first match... whenever it was. It did not truely matter as long as she was being paid... and it was good to be able to use the facilities of LAW freely, knowing they had showers and the like in the gym she could use.

"It's pretty quiet in the night too. Don't have to wait in line to use the rooms or equipement." Katherine added with a pleasant smile, wiping a bit of sweat from her brow using the back of her wrist. She looked the woman up and down, seeing her powerful build and frame. She was a beautiful woman certainly, but it was clear given her well defined form she was a wrestler and a powerful one at that... no doubt a heavyweight as she practically towered over Katherin.

"I'm Katherine Scarlett. Peeps call me 'Drifter' it seems though, so I kind of use it as a ring name. It's nice to meet you." Katherine spoke, finally rising to her feet to proper greet the fellow arrival in the gym. The tall blonde looked very familiar to Katherine, whilst she had yet to meet most of the roster she was already aware of most given she watched LAW herself before joining... she knew the face but not the name.

"That is true, however, it's a little saddening being here at night. It's so lonely, that I can't find a sparring partner whenever I need to loosen up." she let out as she stretched her shoulders, being this stiff from most of the inaction was giving her the pent-up feeling. "The Drifter huh? That's an interesting name." Valentina let out as she continued to scope out the woman in front of her, "Pleased to meet you, Katherine. I am Valentina, and my nickname is The Constrictor." she replied, extending her hand to the woman now that they were both standing for a firm handshake.

"Have LAW been kind to you? I'd like to think that this league is very welcoming to newcomers. At least the staff, the other women here...tend to have a hit or miss." she let out as she took a step closer to Katherine, continuing to examine the tight and toned sweaty body of the other woman, she was already getting chills just thinking about wrestling with her.

"Heh... Hit and miss most certainly. Your definitely not wrong. A few fellow wrestlers have treated me pretty well, others not so much." Katherine spoke, managing a gentle heart warming smile. The moment Valentina mentioned her nickname, Katherine was suddenly aware of who she was. Her demeanor was vastly different from The Constrictor in the ring. Katherine was very aware of how deadly and methodical Constrictor was against her opponents, known for wearing down her targets before commonly finishing her prey with a bearhug... an apt nickname as her tactics were almost snake like.

Yet here stood one of the most intimidating women in the LAW, greeting her in a friendly manner, all chatty and pleasantly curious.
"Sparring partners? Yeah it tends to be empty at night time, not many frequent this place at night. I saw Eve the other night but that was about it. I'd offer a spar but... well... I think I'm no where near your league. I'm a few weight classes below you... and I've seen you fight. I don't think you'd get much of a workout from me." Drifter spoke a little nervously, the notion of sparring against Constrictor was near intimidating.

"Anyways.... it's not so bad in here. It stays open late and is a roof over my head which suits me fine given my situation..." Katherine added with a smile... before she realised she said perhaps a little too much about her own predicament. She was not fond of being in the financial situation she was in, and word was fast spreading across the LAW that Drifter was infact an actual Drifter. She managed a weak but geniune smile as she tried to change the subject.
"Love the accent... you from Russia?" Kat spoke, trying to sweep her previous statement under the rug.

"Hehe, indeed they are. I can imagine that egos and tensions rise in such a sport like this. But I don't see why they have to bring it out into the arena and not keep it within the ring. It's all fun after it's said and done no?" she let out, she was mostly oblivious and above the position jousting between the women who wanted to be at the top. Valentina knew why she was here, solely to sate her own curiosity and joy of squeezing the life out of other women. In a friendly way of course.

She was a little saddened when she heard that Katherine wasn't interested in sparring with her, being several weight classes below her and not viewing herself as decent enough. But, Valentina was not going to be denied. "How about I make it worth your while? 'llI pay you for your time as a sparring partner? It was overstepping of me to assume that you would do this for free." she let out as a chuckle escaped her lips when commented on her accent. "Why yes, love. I am from Russia. Somehow some way, my manager found me up in the North and offered me a spot here in Japan. I was quite surprised by his resourcefulness to find me in some club on the side of the street."

"Pay me? What? Oh... no no I couldn't do that." Kat gasped out at the suggestion. The newcomer could not deny that she certainly needed the money, given the constant payments she was sending to the Orphanage and for a trouble she had in the past. She was making the payments, just about, but it left her with very little to survive the month with. At best she could afford a capsule, which was not the best place to stay but at least it was a bed and kept her out of the cold and wet. Often however she could not even afford that small luxury, and as such often tried to try and hide in the gym and find somewhere to rest the night.

None of it was ideal in reality, but the main thing was that thanks to her contract in LAW she was making the payments, looking after herself was second. The offer from Valentina was certainly tempting to take up. She knew she would get devastated by the larger more powerful and experienced woman, but the offer of money was on the back of her mind instantly. Still... something about it did not feel right, it felt wrong to take money from a fellow wrestler for such a mundane task.
"I mean no offence, it's just... It would feel like I'm kind of robbing you. I just don't think I'd be comfortable with it." Kat added a little akwardly, scratching the back of her head as she could not even look Valentina in the eyes. It gave Valentina a good ample oppertunity to look at Kat's stunning figure however. Since she spend so long in the gym she was a marvel to behold. Wearing only a sports bra and combats, Valentina could see Kat's amazing midriff... she certainly was a beautiful and well formed woman Valentina could enjoy squeezing if given the chance.

"Oh no, I insist." Valentina let out, shooting down Katherine's attempts to dissuade her from buying her time, literally. To Valentina, she had very frivolous with her money but she was not a big spender. Even before she became a wrestler, working at a desk job she had saved quite a bit of money that could support herself quite a distance now with the extra money coming from her wrestling contract. She was completely willing to pour a few of those resources towards Katherine for a good time, perhaps even more than a single good time.

"There's no offense taken, there is no feeling of a robbery. Come now, a little extra money shouldn't be that much of a disheartener. And I'm fully intent on paying however much you want for your time." She let out, continuing to press the offer as she wasn't going to take no for an answer. Her eyes continued to drift on the drifter as she was getting more and more excited just looking at her, "Now come on, how about a nice 30000 yen to start?"

30000 yen?! It was not a life changing amount of money to most, but to someone like Drifter, who struggled to scrape enough together to even find a place to sleep, it was significant... very significant. She could house herself for a full week and not have to eat so much cheap junk food either. Valentina could see Kat's eyes widen slightly after the offer, but it was clear she was still hesitant.
"I... Uhh... Well..." Kat stuttered, her words catching in her throat before she could bring them out, clearly trying to speak before even thinking. She was taken aback that Valentina would offer so much just for a sparring session.

"W... what did you have in mind exactly?" Kat whispered a little sheepishly. "As I mentioned, I... don't really think I'd be much of a match for you. " Kat added, giving Valentina the indication that at the very least, she was not saying no.

Valentina smiled, seeing the reaction on Kat's face at the amount she threw down. However, she felt a little guilty about seeing how much that she was taken aback by the amount, "Well...maybe not 30000, how about 50000? That seems fairer." she let out, very willing to part with any amount if it meant that not only she could help herself with a spar but also her soon to be sparring partner. She let out a chuckle when Katherine was wondering about what she had in mind as she waved her hand casually.

"It's nothing too crazy, just a good grappling bout. Pin or submission wins. How does that sound?"
