Storm
Wrestling Info: Big, broad, and somewhat brutish, Storm is an experienced power wrestler, her strong physique allowing to dominate most encounters. She is far from an unthinking thug, though, and if strength alone is not enough, she can dip into her other skillsets, with well-honed submission holds, suffocating smothers, and sneaky heel distractions to tip the scales in her favour. Whilst not naturally showy, Storm has developed a habit of cynically humiliating opponents for cheap heat. On top of this, she is remarkably stoic, and can tap into deep reserves of endurance and brutality if angered. Storm does lack speed and has a tendency to overthink things – despite her heel billing, and sullen demeanour, a part of her still wants the audience’s approval, so she isn’t always as ruthlessly effective as she could be. Still, when her power moves hit, they are punishing, and if you give her cause to bear a grudge, she will bring a world of pain.

Signature Moves:
Black Cloud – Storm’s thunder-themed variant of the classic Poison Mist trick. If the opportunity presents, she will wickedly spit a cloud of stinging black gunk into her opponent’s eyes! She claims there is pagan magic in this brew.
Head In The Clouds – Quite the arrogant humiliation move. If Storm is pissed, she will corner an opponent, trap their arms in the ropes, then climb up their standing body to bend their head back over the top of the turnbuckle, turning to sit on their upturned face! As painful as it is illegal.
Thunderstrike (finisher) – An elevated powerbomb, followed by a pin.

Appearance: A statuesque brunette with no-nonsense short hair, Storm is tall, muscular, but also has quite the curves. She isn’t particularly vain, though, and will rarely sport much makeup, and usually wrestles in standard dark blue attire. Usually scowling, though permits herself a grin when she is kicking ass. For grudge matches, she sometimes paints patterns on her face for good luck.
Personality: Storm seems quite sullen and is often scowling but, whilst not the sunniest of wrestlers, she isn’t a total misery. She is very down to earth and genuinely loves a good scrap, although she also isn’t shy about rubbing the loser’s nose in it. Storm is far from being a total sadist and part of her cruelty is performative, playing up to the darker elements of the fanbase to cynically score heat. Storm’s disillusionment with the wrestling industry often manifests itself by her butt-smothering an unfortunate victim and generally ruining an opponent’s day. Away from the glare of the media, though, she will strike up friendships with other wrestlers and even take rookies under her wing, if they are brave enough to approach her. Storm pushes herself hard and will get angry if disrespected; when riled, she will unleash her anger through some quite fierce violence, gleefully partaking in hardcore matches if she needs to prove her toughness. Storm is also quite superstitious and, since turning heel, has taken an interest in the darker pagan folklore of her native Scotland.
Past: Storm grew up in rural Scotland, comfortable, cheery and tomboyish. From an early age she was big and strong, and happily helped on her family farm. She also happily scrapped with the older children, their good-natured play fights usually ending with Storm’s challengers getting emphatically dumped in the mud. Gravitating towards wrestling as a way of showing off her strength, Storm trained hard and joined a small British promotion. She started as a babyface and built up a fanbase with her impressive physique and potent power moves, holding her own although perhaps not scoring the heat she would have liked.
A turning point for Storm came when the promotion pitted her against a brash local newcomer, Lyssa Watts. Predictably, Storm wiped the floor with the smaller heel rookie in their first few encounters, but when their feud escalated into a POW match, Lyssa shocked everyone by scraping an unfair, underhanded win. Poor Storm was humiliated, dragged backstage and suffered unknown tortures at the hands of the blue-haired brat.
When Storm resurfaced, she was different. Sour-faced and bitter, everyone expected her to go after Lyssa, but instead Storm unleashed her anger on the rest of the league, ploughing through opponents with surprisingly unpleasant heel tactics. Years of frustration at playing the good girl, and getting nowhere, were finally bubbling to the surface. Even more surprisingly, she even teamed up with her former rival, forming a ‘Thunder and Lightning’ tag team and dishing out twice the punishment on anyone unlucky enough to be in their path. In a bitter irony not lost on Storm, their savage heel antics earned the attentions of LAW, and lucrative new contracts. Storm felt this justified her new, cynical outlook, and now wrestles permanently as a rule-bending heel.
Trivia:
- Was originally nicknamed “Thunder” due to her miserable scowl during her early heel appearances. Detractors said she had a ‘face like thunder’, but Storm decided to own the insult.
- Quite a keen drinker and has a weakness for good quality whisky.
