Aaliyah is the woman Yo-Yo is pretending to be, in many ways. While she’s energetic and driven like her cousin, she has the skills to back all of that up, and she isn’t nearly as much of an overt ass. A down-to-earth, friendly woman, she’s personable and easy to get along with for the most part, so long as people give back the respect she puts out. She doesn’t look to start fights, but she won’t stand to be pushed around, either, and anyone who tries will quickly find out why they shouldn’t.
She also loves wrestling and sees it as a pure sport that she’s willing to stand by and protect. She doesn’t like bullies, and won’t stand for being pushed around in the ring. This extends to others, too, and she often feels a need to get involved in scenarios that aren’t her business when she sees other people getting ganged up on. While it’s a noble gesture, it has led to her getting on the radar of people who’d otherwise overlook her and making some dangerous enemies.

She idolized some of the greats in the sports - Millicent Kaiser, Dana Ashford, and Victoria Faraday, just to name a few. While she would sing in choirs and pursue a musical career in her teenage years, joining their ranks was always a top priority in her mind, and any time that wasn’t spent with her singing was spent training and learning about the squared circle.
Pulled in two directions, she decided to try and burn both candles when she graduated high school, and joined up with a small-scale wrestling promotion in Albany. She took to the training well, and soon became one of its star attractions, showcasing a unique style of high-flying athleticism and a bright, hip-hop-inspired attitude.
She had the start of a promising career and was content with a slow rise to popularity, when she heard about her cousin, Yolanda, who was trying to follow in her footsteps, but doing so in the most brazen way possible. She’d joined up with LAW and was already causing a fuss over there, getting annihilated in her first match. Knowing how pigheaded her cousin was, Aaliyah decided to take a detour in her career path and arranged for LAW to bring her over as well, hoping to start up a tag team. She’d always wanted to check out the Tokyo music scene, anyway, so it was a win-win.
