Gabriel was off to a pretty decent start in L.A.W. Not just because of her potential streak, but because of the blessing it was to be away from her supposedly demeaning reputation. It's not that she hates the venue where she launched her career and which she now represents here on these big league tarpaulins; quite the contrary. It's just that it had been a long time since Gabriel had felt the exhilaration and pleasure of a good fight; no hard feelings; no pretensions; only them.

But this time it was going to be different. She needed to prove her supposedly contemptible status in this arena, and resigning was not an option, only procrastination if she wanted it. Nevertheless, facing Jackie sounded appealing to her. She longs for a deathmatch, for nostalgia's sake.
