Aika tries her best to be a consummate professional in a world of silliness. Unlike a lot of managers, she’s been on both sides of the ropes, and knows the day to day struggles the pro wrestlers go through, the troubles they face in their everyday lives and how crazy it gets. As such, she tries to be a source of stability for her clients, advocating for them as much as possible, and strives to be a fair, impartial, practical woman.That being said, she does still love wrestling, and can be quite passionate about it. At times, she’ll straddle the line from being an agent to being a coach, wanting to put her wrestlers in matches that will be more beneficial for their long term growth over flashy opportunities. More than anything, she doesn’t want to see her clients fall down the same path that she did with her wrestling career.
History
Aika’s story is a winding tale, one that’s taken her through three full blown, varied careers over two decades.A Japanese native, she started out as a professional wrestler in her hometown, one managed to garner some significant press thanks to her, at the time, unique offense, mixed karate and wrestling in a way that few were doing. She was eventually scouted by numerous organizations, with the most profitable being Bleeding Edge, a wrestling outfit in Canada.
Seeing a big payday and a strong career, she crossed the ocean and settle in Quebec, starting her full career there. Things proved to be less than ideal, though, as Bleeding Edge turned out to be, for lack of a better word, racist. They put her in a rather insulting evil Asian gimmick, but she did the best she could with it for several years, before she grew fed up with it and left the company for the independent scene.
Fortunately, her workrate in the company was stellar, and she managed to make a solid career on the indy scene, always finding enough dates to keep herself afloat. This all came to an end, however, when she suffered a serious back injury after a botched senton, one that would put her out of work for a while. Needing income, she decided to return to Japan and try her hand at her second love in life - acting.
She found work with a small company who wanted to use her name for their spy series, called Agent Aika. It was a weird production, a mix of martial, spy thriller, and sci-fi epic, with a gratuitous amount of panty shots being thrown in. But, sleezy as it was, she enjoyed her time there, and even met her future wife in her co-star, Rion.
The show was short lived, but had a niche audience, and she was able to parlay that into the final stage of her career. Her body was ring worthy, but she felt her time as an in-ring competitor was over, and that she would be better served in a managing role - an agent, ironically enough. As such, she’s come to LAW, and is looking to ply her trade with fresh new stars.
