Round 2
Sachiko Koizumi vs Rose Gold
Win by Knockout
"Sachiko"
Rose
Sachiko was beaming with pride! Here she was, not only managing to secure a spot on an official tournament, but also winning her first round like it was nothing! Just like she'd always known, she could count on her strength to get her through any challenge. The world was her oyster - and to think her aunt had told her she wouldn't be going far. Who was laughing now? Certainly, Sachiko was, as she chuckled to herself in the mirror, slinging her baseball bat over her shoulder before she turned to the door. It was time to add another victory to her record!
Not only that, but she was to face off against Rose Gold. Though their paths hadn't crossed before, Sachiko was well aware the lightweight had been a rising star in the promotion, and the praises sung of her performance were only paralleled by the discussions about how the former fan-favorite had turned to the same sort of cruelty and dirty tricks Sachiko herself had a reputation for. Even if the two wrestlers might ordinarily see eye to eye, though, Sachiko had no time for that here! All bets were off when they got into the ring. She was here to win, no matter who she was against - and the thought of taking Rose down a peg, too, had its own appeal to Sachiko. If she could stop her rise to power dead in its tracks, she and her gang would be unstoppable! Everyone would be talking about them! It was just the sort of fame the delinquent needed to ensure her rise to glory by her own particular means.
"Coming first to the ring, from Fukushima, Japan! At 5'9 and weighing 165 pounds, representing the Heartbreakers, SACHIKO KOIZUMI!"
It didn't matter whether the fans cheered or booed, and Sachiko got plenty of both as she strolled on down the ramp. What mattered was that she was here to make a name for herself, and Rose was going to be the sacrifice left at that altar! Once in the ring, she tapped her bat in her palm, a toothy grin spreading over her face. This was gonna be fun.
-----------------------------
There had been a lot of talk about Rose Gold being a masochist. To enter the LAWs Last Woman Standing tournament as a lightweight. After all, this tournament didn't have restrictions on who was paired together... And her first round opponent had been Artemis the Hunter.
"I don't see what the big deal is. They all choke the same." She'd told an interviewer after the brutal end of her first match. She'd all but hung Artemis.
Of course, it wasn't all bright lights and fanfare. Artemis had put a beating on the Sinister Siren and she was still finding new splinters from the table she'd been put through.
Her next opponent was another woman who outweighed her by half-a-Rose Gold. Fine. The bigger they are.
"And her opponent! Fighting out of Hokkaido, Japan! She stands 5 feet 1 inches and weighs 119 pounds! The Sinister Siren, ROSE... GOOOOOOLD!"
Her entrance music played as she threw a fist in the air at the top of the ramp. The fans erupted as she stomped to the ring in her black attire. The crowd was fickle... All they wanted was blood. And after Rose had strangled another woman for their entertainment, they had given her their favor. At least for the current few minutes.
She hopped atop the ring apron and gracefully leapt over the top rope. She landed in a crouch before rising and throwing her fist in the air again!
The crowd all but faded from her consciousness as she turned to face her opponent. Her eyes met Sachiko's for the first time.
"Cute bat. I wonder... What part of your skillset does it compensate for? Hm?"
-----------------------------
When Rose got into the ring, the two competitors could now face each other and be compared side by side. In the world of wrestling, the comparison to David vs. Goliath was a truly tired one. But there was little other way to describe the matchup here. Rose may have been a lightweight, but Sachiko was pushing the upper limit of the middleweight class. It was something that wasn't lost on Sachiko herself, as she looked down at the blonde below her to meet eye to eye, a smirk crossing her face as she tapped the bat in the palm of her hand. This was just like beating up a smaller, defenseless kid on the playground, something Sachiko had plenty of experience with in her youth.
Of course, Sachiko knew she couldn't underestimate her opponent. Rose had to be doing something right in order to get to this stage of the tournament, and the reputation she had accrued as a merciless and fearsome foe wasn't without reason. Still, it was somewhat comical to imagine her putting up a serious threat to Sachiko. Was it fair that Rose had to go up against her? Probably not. Did Sachiko particularly care? Definitely not. As far as she was concerned, "fair" was just a cheap concept that didn't reflect the reality of how people got in fights. She was here to win, and nothing was going to stop her.
Which was also why she had her bat with her. As Rose had so helpfully pointed out.
"The part of me that's less inclined to bashing your head in, kid," Sachiko scoffed, either not knowing or not caring that Rose was older than her. "Which is tiny. About...oh, like this big." She held her hand up at her side, precisely at Rose's level. "But, you know, that just means it's not gonna so much as dent me..." Her smirk grew wider, and her eyes locked onto Rose's, waiting to see how her little taunt would hit her.
-----------------------------
"You're going to feel real stupid when you wake up in the locker room. When you get to watch me win this ridiculous farce while you try to remember how to count past ten." She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at the girls words.
"I don't normally pick on my juniors. Tell you what sweetheart. You call me Senpai and I'll see to it that I take it easy on you. I'll just beat you instead of beating AND humiliating you." She rolled her neck as it was Sachiko's time to soak in the taunt.
As big as Rose spoke she didn't take her eyes off that bat. It was perfectly legal in this tournament. For some women she might have been able to shame them into dropping it... But she recognized a kindred spirit in Sachiko. She knew they both believed the same creed. If you're not cheating. You're not trying.
"One time offer. What do you say, my chubby little kouhai?"
-----------------------------
"Pshht, yeah. Yeah, right." Sachiko took the time to warm up in preparation for the match, rolling her shoulders and neck to ensure she would be properly limber for when the time came for them to face off. She went to lean her baseball bat in the corner behind her for when she would need it. She had full intention of using it, of course. If the match could only end in a knockout, they couldn't throw her out if she did, and opportunities to take things to a style more suited to her tastes didn't come by every day, so Sachiko would have to take advantage. But she wouldn't need that yet.
It soon began to set in, as she listened to Rose's words, that Sachiko was in fact the younger of the two. She blinked a few times, confused by what she meant, before she connected the dots. But even if it was true, it didn't matter. Sachiko wasn't going to let that influence how anyone viewed her, no less her opponent.
She crossed her arms, stepping in closer. "Don't make me laugh! I run the place where I'm from. And I don't call anyone Senpai who doesn't earn it. And they haven't earned it from me, either!" She grinned wider, pointing to herself. "Hell! I don't even go to school any more! So it doesn't mean shit what year I'm in!"
She thought she was being clever. If anything, she just proved her point. Still, shaking her head, she closed in on Rose. "I'm not calling you anything but dead meat!"
DING DING DING
With the ring of the bell, Sachiko lowered herself into a stance, raising her hands and preparing to lock up. "And I'll show you chubby!"
-----------------------------
"Where you're from?" She brought her fist to her lips and began to laugh. "Oh ho ho!" She couldn't help it. Amused by the girl's words the chortle bubbled out from deep within her throat. It was arrogant and condescending.
"I'm not surprised a school wouldn't suffer a chubby street rat like yourself. No wonder you're fighting for pay, you don't seem to have the capacity for much else. More's the pity!"
And the bell rang. Rose Gild was certain her disrespectful taunting would incense the larger girl. And it appeared she was right. Immediately Sachiko sought to be upon her!
Rose threw her arms forward as if she was going to take on Sachiko's lock up. Instead however, she'd attempt to slip behind her to apply a waist lock. She knew that Sachiko had the strength advantage... If she caught her, she was going to be in for a world of hurt!
If she was able to waist lock her foe, she'd drop low and pull out her ankles. The whole maneuver was silky smooth. Her technique professional and trained.
There'd be no follow-up. Instead, Rose would sit upon the second rope and watch as Sachiko had to crawl back to her feet from her belly. To really soak in the fact that Rose Gold might be smaller... But she had speed and skill to shore up their size difference.
-----------------------------
Sachiko didn't like to think there was a lot that could faze her. But Rose was starting to get under her skin, and she grit her teeth, glowering down at her. She was supposed to be the one calling the shots whenever she was around, not this pipsqueak! Sachiko didn't like the thought of being talked down to by someone who she, physically, indeed had to talk down to. It surely meant she wasn't all she was cracked up to be if she didn't command the sort of respect she wanted to. And for Sachiko, the mere suggestion of the sort was simply unforgiveable.
Glowering at Rose, Sachiko closed in on her, seeing her arms raised and prepared to meet her head-on with her end of the lockup. Given her greater size, Sachiko was sure she'd be able to overpower her; she figured Rose was handing herself over, and that she'd make her regret it!
Sachiko was perhaps someone with more vigor than common sense. She didn't realize until it was too late that she was going right into Rose's trap, as the blonde would dodge around Sachiko at the last minute, leaving the delinquent leaning forward as her hands grabbed at the air.
"Huh-!? What?" Sachiko looked around her with confusion, her center of balance offset. But she'd soon be stabilized as Rose grabbed her around the waist, causing her to jerk back with a yelp of surprise. No sooner had her body been restrained that Sachiko felt Rose drop down, hooking her ankles along the way and pulling them out from under her. At once, Sachiko's center of balance had been lost!
"W-WHOAH..!" she cried, with less dignity than she would have liked, particularly against a lightweight. She fell forward, going crashing down onto her stomach with a canvas-shaking thud. This early in the match, it wasn't that bad a landing. But it still did hurt her pride, if not her body, as she pushed herself back up on her hands and knees. Particularly when she looked back to see Rose just calmly sitting on the rope! She was mocking her! That pushed Sachiko over the edge, as her expression turned to hateful scowl. She didn't like being taken down, but she especially didn't like to be mocked!
"HEY! Wipe that dumb smile off your face!" she spat, coming storming over to her opponent. Sachiko drew back a fist, aiming to throw a sharp punch straight into Rose's face in the hopes of knocking her clean off the ropes!
-----------------------------
Rose Gold felt as though she was on top of the world as she watched her delinquent opponent flapjack onto the mats with a squeal. And the look on her face when she saw Rose... Priceless!
"Oh you are just too cute!" She grinned. "That's what you were going for, right? Boyishly cute?" It was clear that this girl was...passionate. She wore her heart and her emotions on her sleeve... A vulnerability Rose sought to take advantage of.
However, Rose's vulnerability was her ego. And Sachiko wasn't here to talk, she was looking to scrap! Rose's eyes widened as the girl drew back her fist!
"H-hey! Wait!" She demanded even as the blow shot towards her. Her hands barely got in the way. And even then, the punch connected through her unskilled block!
The blow sent the brutal blonde tumbling backwards gracelessly through the ropes. She bounced off the edge of the ring and fell to the arena floor with a cry! And she wouldn't get to her feet.
In fact. If Sachiko looked, she'd find the arena floor empty. Huh?
-----------------------------
So far things weren't off to a great start. Sachiko could have enjoyed a more graceful opening to a match than falling on her face before things had even begun. But Rose wasn't one to cooperate in that regard, and she also wasn't going to let Sachiko forget about it any time soon, as she taunted her from the ground! It was only making things worse for Sachiko; when she got back to her feet, she shot a glare across the ring at her foe, her fist balled at her side.
"Hey! I am not cute-!" Sachiko shot back. She had to pause for a moment in considering it. She didn't mind being called cute, per se. But not when she was trying to intimidate an opponent, one who had no business being this stoic in the face of danger. That fury fueled her punch, and when she let her fist fly, it landed with a thud, knocking Rose off her feet and straight out of the ring!
Sachiko was surprised by the results as much as anyone in the crowd. Either she was stronger than she looked or Rose was just that weak, but either way she would take it. She let out a cheer, hoisting her fists in the air, as though she had already won. "Ha-HA! Hell YES! Who's so tough now, huh? I'll give you a hint, it's me!"
Even with Rose being the dastardly heel she was, a few people booed Sachiko for being so thoughtless and bull-headed. By the time Sachiko finally looked over at the floor, though, she found nothing there. Blinking in confusion, she stared down at the glaring emptiness below her. "Hey...what gives? If this is a joke, it's not funny!"
-----------------------------
Rose Gold rubbed her nose with a wince from her hiding place beneath the ring. Perhaps instigating her delinquent opponent to hurt her hadn't been the best idea. If she hadn't been prepared for the hit she might have been knocked clean out!
Instead, she'd used her lack of leverage upon the ropes to swing her body with the momentum of the blow. She'd feigned it being more damaging than it had been. Not unlike a boxer turning their head whilst receiving a blow.
Her tumble to the outside had been a bit of a pratfall. It would result in a keen bruise on her thigh after the matches end.
The small sadist commando crawled beneath the ring, sliding out clear to the other side as Sachiko was discovering that she'd disappeared. Rose Gold came to a full stand as Sachiko verbalized her protest.
Quietly, Rose would slide into the ring, carrying a steel chair with her. Not unlike a killer in a slasher film. She'd bring the weapon high, clutching it with both hands, and await the larger girl to turn around.
Then, she'd bring the flat of the seat down clean upon the larger woman's skull! If it landed, it'd elicit a resounding clang and dent the foreign object. "Have a seat, my cute little kouhai!"
-----------------------------
Sachiko had been impressed at first when she had managed to knock Rose out of the ring. But her excitement was quickly dampened when she realized that Rose had rolled aside, getting away from the spot where she had landed. The blue-haired girl's thrill gave way to frustration, as Rose was proving to be a more difficult opponent to catch than she would have thought.
"Hello!? Are you out there!?" Sachiko growled, leaning over the ropes and looking back and forth as she tried to locate where Rose had gone. But still no sign of her. Her brows narrowed and she grumbled under her breath; this was getting tiresome. Eventually, she grew tired of this, turning around to see what was behind her.
And that was a mistake, considering that was exactly where Rose Gold was waiting, and with a chair that she brought down straight into Sachiko's head! With a pained groan, she fell onto her ass, her back slumping against the ropes as her head rolled against the cables. However, she shook herself, narrowing her eyes and clenching her teeth, as she steeled herself to fight back; she wouldn't be swayed that easily. Sachiko kicked her leg back out, aiming to catch Rose in the gut with it. "Aw, c'mon, puns? Really?" she sneered.
-----------------------------
The chair caught Sachiko flush and drove her to ground! It knocked her clean against the ropes. Down, but not out! In fact, her rebuttal was rapid. Perhaps fueled by the knowledge that anything less would leave her a sitting duck. A target dummy for the brutal blonde!
Sachiko's boot buried itself in her belly. She was surprisingly fast for her size. The shock caused Rose's fingers to uncurl about the chair, sending it sliding across the mat and beneath the bottom rope. It fell to the arena floor with a clatter.
Rose grinned down at Sachiko through the pain of having her guts punted. "Tough crowd, hm?"
She staggered back a pace. Sachiko was against the ropes, but to be honest, her position left little offensive opening for Rose. Perhaps if she was a larger woman
.. But as it stood, she was just as likely to get grabbed as she was to do the grabbing. So instead, she observed. She wondered... Was Sachiko's head truly that hard... Or was she secretly suffering?
-----------------------------
Rose had wasted little time in letting the foreign objects come out. That didn't mean much for Sachiko, though. If anything, now she had free reign to do her thing and no one could question her for it. She'd brought her bat in with her for her entrance, but now, it seemed as though it'd prove handy for more than that. She couldn't say she complained. In truth, she was waiting for a good opportunity, and Rose had given her one.
Though, all things considered, Rose had given her something else, too. And that something was a good beating. Even as Sachiko straightened herself to her feet, pushing off the ropes to steady herself, her head was throbbing where the chair had struck it. After she lashed out with a kick, using the momentum of her rise to direct the blow, Sachiko winced for a moment as she adjusted to her new altitude, rubbing her temples, but she quickly shook herself. There was still work to be done, after all.
Rose herself was doing a good job of bearing through the pain; even as she stood doubled over forward, she still had time to taunt the blue-haired sukeban. Sachiko could do something about that, though, especially if Rose was stunned. Now that the chair was on the floor, Sachiko could turn it against Rose. "That's not the only thing that's tough..."
She stepped forward to pull her head under her arm and lift the blonde skyward, turning her over with her head pointed at the floor, before she staggered back and let herself drop in an attempt to deliver a brainbuster directly onto the chair! Of course, Sachiko was still a bit dizzy from the chair shot herself, but with Rose being so much lighter, she felt she still had a chance.
