She had mail in her postal compartment, a few LAW staff notices slipped into her locker at the arena and she had one unpaid parking ticket for a car that wasn't hers. That last one was obviously mistakenly given to her since she doesn't drive. She nearly had a meltdown over that, but her Carnival GIrl sisters - Shaina, Amelia and Satsuki - assured her that it was delivered to her in error.
She relied heavily on her sisters for such matters as she didn't have a grasp of Common Japanese and spoke mostly in her native tongue of Hachijo, a dying language primarily used on an island far South of Tokyo.
Amelia, however, notified Mayori that one of the LAW notices was regarding a match draft card that the promotion was running at the end of the week. Mayori's number was drawn versus a male opponent named 'Isaiah Bowen', and they were to compete during a Saturday TV taping.
Mayori hadn't done an intergender match since she had left for America and she had only a day's rest to train for the bout. The demands of her home Japanese wrestling brand had not slowed down in the least. The American way of spacing wrestling shows was out, LAW was back in.
The Hachijo girl's reception by the crowd was warmer than ever.
She was greeted like a conquering hero after her stint in the American Southeastern wrestling scene. Her and her sisters had a fresh paint of international recognition that brought their hometown audience's appreciation. Mayori had learned to meet hands in the aisle with more warmth, herself. The fans didn't know her as well as they did, now. She was a fine ambassador during her time overseas and this intergender match's performance bar was set high.
She got into the ring, donning her now famous "CG" inspired gear, and bowed toward the official before recognizing the thousands on hand to see one of the first contests involving the crop of LAW girls that had returned from America with new international credit to their names.
Mayori's beautiful, white gear commanded attention when the spotlights found her. The lively tune that accompanied her to the ring was now recognized as the Carnival Girls' official entrance ballad.
The package with which she had become famous was all there. All that remained was her ring presence once her opponent joined her.
