With that, the opponent falls down, with it's neck being cranked toward it's chest, while having to support the rest of it's bodyweight. Personality: Phlegmatic, Betty is a soft-spoken person, despite having strong opinions and values, many of them connected to her people in Liberia and to her time in China. She is decisive and strong-willed, but prefers to use such energy to harmonize herself and the environment around her. She prefers to communicate and understand other people through empathy and emotions, rather than logic and data. Her attitude towards the world, by consequence, leaves her with a quite mystical aura to her, what, in other hand may inspire others or alienate them from interacting with her.
History: Born amidst the chaos of the Battle of Monrovia, during the First Liberian Civil, fortune smiled to Elizabeth, despite all her initial bad luck.
She was just a baby when a mortar strike was launched against her parent's home, located in the suburbs of the Liberian capital. Among the rubble, her parents were found by an american squad, part of the UN Observer Mission in Liberia. After a brief conversation with her parents, the squad leader, Captain Matthew Park, was convinced to take their baby to America, to be raised by a charity insitutition, since they didn't want her to be raised on a place like that.
When she arrived in the USA, Betty was taken to the Zetian Institute, an orphanage and boarding school, dedicated to help children from third-world countries, such as Elizabeth. There, she received a high quality formal education, besides being taught in multiple sports as a child. In this plethora activities, she showed significant prowess on her martial arts classs; enough prowess, in fact, for her to be invited by the Institute's chairman, Mr. Tang,to accompany him on a trip to his homeland, in order to train with his grandfather, a renowned wushu master, called Tang Shen.
Having accept the invitation, she traveled to the East, where she met the Tang family and their Wushu Academy. Being so wondered by the awesome training she experienced, she required Mr. Tang and his family to stay there and train in the Academy. Expecting to be rejected, due her completely foreign origin, to her surprise, she was accepted into the Academy and lived in China until the beggining of her 20s.
The complex was huge, being composed by a school, a big gymnasium and an ancient temple located at a mountain. It was at this temple where Ricks spent most of her time training, developing remarkable acrobatic skills, leaping from rock to rock, while doing her multiple climbs on the hills. She also was taught in the Changquan ("Long Fist") and in the fast wrestling of Baoding's Shuai Jiao style, mastering both of them.
Dedicating her life to her found passion of martial arts, Betty embarked on a journey to defend Tang Academy's and Wushu's good names, on the fighting championships around the world. Among her travels, she eventually returned to Liberia, meeting with her parents after decades apart from them. That meeting convinced her to fight not only for Wushu, but also for her people, which, suffering from multiple adversities, prevailed, an inspiration that she would carry in her heart.
Her success in championships across the globe brought her fame ("Which also was a gateway to my model career, in which I take a lot of pictures with guns, because, despite hating their nature, I love their aesthetic") and also many rivals, bitter due defeats suffered in her hands ("And specially feet"). She also received and injure on her right forearm, what explains the shining glove that she occasionally uses on her matches.
