As Raya sat backstage, anxiety filled her body for the first time in a while. Tonight would be the biggest stage of her short law career, in a country she had never been to, and so she had no idea what to expect when she came out to face the crowd, although she made a mental note to do her best to ignore it. As her thoughts drifted to her opponent, her anxiety was quickly replaced with anger as she relived the humiliating memory of having been easily defeated by Rosy having just joined Law. Since then, she had suffered quite a few losses as well, but tonight would be the first time she would have a shot at revenge against a previous opponent who had overcome her, and she intended to take full advantage to show Rosy just how far she had come since their first matchup.
Tonight's Raya would be far different from the first time, she was far more experienced, had trained more, and more importantly had gotten used to taking hits, as she had faced opponents far stronger than Rosy, at least in her own estimation, and with that confidence she knew she had enough of a difference to turn the tables on the first match's result.
When the time came for her to make her entrance, Raya headed out the locker room and made her way to the unfamiliar crowd as the lights momentarily dazzled her, she looked over to the roaring crowd for just a second, almost struck with awe before quickly regaining her composure, remembering her earlier vow, and promptly shutting out all the noise that surrounded her, her vision zeroing in onto the familiar figure of Rosy who stood inside the ring. Raya grit her teeth and clenched her fists while making her way to the ring, trying to keep her anger and frustration under control, but as soon as she slipped into the ring and stood face to face with Rosy, the anger turned to gloating.
"I want you to get any illusion you have of repeating last time's result out of your head right now," she started with a smirk, "because I can guarantee you're not ready for me this time, Rosy!"
Afterwards, once the match started, Raya would not replicate her recklessness from her early days at law, but would instead stand there and put her arms up, inviting Rosy to lock up in a test of strength, something she had gotten into a habit of doing recently but had never gotten a chance to do with Rosy during their first matchup, the question was now whether Rosy would accept or reject this offer, with Raya prepared for either scenario.
