The crowd was truly excited tonight, the stands bustling with activity. One of the matches slated for tonight was a bout between one of the household names of LAW-- an established veteran who had, for the longest time, reigned as the undisputed heavyweight champion-- and a rising up and comer. Even though she was no longer the heavyweight champion, Alaina Sanders was still a name that commanded respect in the LAW roster, for she was still an experienced powerhouse with a long tally of victories to her name. Karen Gale, for her part, had a growing reputation of her own, showing herself to be both strong and headstrong, fearlessly taking on anyone, no matter their size, power, or level of experience. And all too recently, she had gone head to head with "JJ" Janella Johnson at We Are LAW 8, narrowly losing after an incredibly close match.

And now, these two powerful ladies would be going head to head.

Before long, the first of the competitors arrived.

The Maori's entrance was met by a chorus of cheers from the crowds as she stood on the walkway, wearing a New Zealand All Blacks t-shirt over her ring gear while Nagual’s signature haka trap remix blared around her. Posing in front of the Titantron while the fireworks exploded around her, Karen strode resolutely down the ramp, enthusiastically hi-fiving fans while eagerly lip-syncing the blared haka lyrics. The sheer enthusiasm of the crowd always invigorated her; it always gratified her that some small-town Kiwi girl like her could get cheered by a crowd an ocean away from home.


“Our first competitor, standing at five-foot-six and weighing one hundred and fifty pounds…from Dunedin, New Zealand…KAREN GAAAAALE!”

Sliding into the ring, Karen eagerly hopped up onto the ring and dropped to her knees, arching back to raise her arms to the crowd, basking in their cheers. Finally, she stood back up and, peeling her shirt off, stepped back to the center of the ring, waiting to for the Amazon to arrive. She had fought hard to get a match with Alaina Sanders: even though the Amazon was no longer the heavyweight champion, to Karen it didn't matter: she was Alaina Freaking Sanders. She needed a match against the former champion, and needed to test herself against one of the very best ladies in the league. After going head to head with JJ in We Are LAW, she needed a win, but more importantly, she felt all the more confident that she could hang with the very best LAW had to offer.

Alaina had been working her way back onto the horse after losing her LAW Heavyweight Championship but she was on a bit of a hot streak. She was wearing her two piece tiger print attire tonight and feeling quite confident. She knew Karen was a strong, tough, fast woman. She could do it all in that ring but Alaina was not going to be deterred. She knew what to do to win and had proven it not just here but throughout her whole career. She could go out there, wrestler her game and walk away with a win.

Alaina soon came out as her music played and the crowd roared. She flexed at the top of the ramp and was all smiles, strutting her way to the ring. She had a bit less hip sway these days but it was still there as the now 51 year old still cut an impressive figure. She was looking at Karen the whole time she walked down though. She had a lot of muscle, stood there with confidence and looked like quite a challenge. Alaina was going to show her why even at her age she was still a force between the ropes.

Alaina slid into the ring and stood up doing a final flexing pose and wink for the crowd before settling into her corner looking over at Karen and smiling. She was more than ready tonight and she could tell that Karen was as good as advertised.

The crowd went absolutely wild at Alaina's entrance, and Karen could see why. The woman was an absolute legend, and here and now, striding into the ring, she seemed even more legendary. Karen liked to consider herself a tall, powerfully built woman...but the Amazon easily had her beat in the weight department, and seemed to be packing considerably more muscle in the bargain. And in the buildup to this match, Karen had watched enough of Alaina's matches to know that the Amazon knew just how to use that power.

Yeah, this was going to be a rough match.

The bell rang, snapping Karen back into focus. Swallowing her nervousness as best she could, Karen started moving. Smiling, she started clapping, trying to get the audience to start doing the same, as she started to circle Alaina. Meeting the Amazon's gaze and smiling, she motioned the larger gal for a collar and elbow lockup. "Come on, Miss Former Chaamp," she said, "I want to see if those muscles are just for show."

Alaina raised her eyebrows as Karen spoke and looked to be quite confident in herself. "Oh? Well let me show you then miss no-gold." Alaina said as she lunged in grappling with Karen! Alaina was immediately pressing and giving it her all wanting to drive Karen back against the turnbuckle. If she wanted to know how strong Alaina was she was going to find out immediately.

The amazon did not hold back, going all in to drive Karen back against a turnbuckle so she could press in and hold her there. At least that was the intended plan for Alaina. She still had to pull it off knowing Karen would be resisting the entire time!

The two powerful woman collided in the center of the ring, Karen's tattooed arms crisscrossing with Alaina's as the two engaged in a fierce grapple. With her forehead practically pressed against Alaina's, Karen clenched her teeth and poured everything into the grapple, trying her hardest to push Alaina back.

As it turned out, her hardest wasn't quite enough.

Slowly but surely, Karen was forced back one step, and then another. Breathing through flared nostrils, Karen dug her heels into the mat and poured all her effort into stopping Alaina's relentlessly powerful advance; right now, more than anything, she just needed to stop Alaina in her tracks...

Alaina was pressing and feeling Karen resist. She shook her head and grunted as she herself didn't want to stall out. Her hair flew as she was doing all she could to overwhelm Karen but despite the size difference would it be enough? Alaina had never been stone walled by a woman this much smaller than herself before, ever. However she was not 51 before either.

Alaina shouted and doubled down giving it her all to drive back, doing all she could to make sure it would suffice and that she wasn't stopped cold or worse forced back herself.

Somehow, Karen managed to deadlock Alaina in the center of the ring. The act of doing so was absolute torture: Alaina was every bit as strong as she looked, and it was taking everything, absolutely EVERYTHING Karen had just to keep her in check-- a fact that Karen was only able to accomplish thanks to her own incredible strength.

It did not last long, though.

Another surge from Alaina sent her finally staggering backwards, until her back hit the corner; in an instant, the ref was nearby, counting down for Alaina to release Karen...

Alaina had done it. It had cost her and took more than she expected by quite a margin but she had managed to power Karen into the corner. Alaina wasn't going to stop there though. As the referee counted she reared back, swinging her knee up into Karen's abdomen a few times before backing off. Alaina flexed her biceps and stood ready waiting for Karen to leave the corner. She was going to try to be ready for anything against this woman unsure of what she could do...

As Alaina muscled Karen into the corner, the Maori woman tensed, waiting for Alaina to start hammering her now that she was trapped. Instead, however, Alaina obeyed the ref and backed away. Taking a deep breath, Karen smiled, despite herself. "Well...looks like the Amazon is just as strong as I'd heard."

Deciding that speed, rather than power, was what she needed right now, Karen gave a loud yell and charged out of the corner, faking a clothesline...instead hoping to ram a knee into Alaina's abs, doubling her just long enough to wrap an arm around her head and drop back for an underhook DDT!

Alaina stepped up, swinging her arm only to get hit in the abdomen by Karen! She stumbled and felt herself grabbed unable to stop her head from being spiked painfully to the mat!

Alaina groaned and crashed tobthe mat, flopping and settling on her side as her arms cradled her head leaving her laid out on the mat for a moment with Karen standing tall over her.
