History: Ajkuna Sahatciu’s story is a unique one. She was born in Albania in 1984, she came into a world very different from what she’d truly end up growing up in. Left unmoored, to say the least of her relatively comfortable life as the daughter of low level civil servant parents who lost their jobs seemingly overnight in the early 90s, Ajkuna found solace in a few things, she was big, she was strong, she was tough & she had very good eye for recognizing patterns. All of which combined to make her an absolute phenomenon in more or less every single martial art she put her mind to.
Though she could at times be somewhat slow & lumbering, inevitably she’d get her hands, feet or other parts of her body in her opponents. That’s when blood would splatter, ribbs would crack, lights go out & mouths would scream. Her nickname, goddess of protect came from a joke, her opponents were said to need divine protection from her, because she very clearly would provide none.
In her early 29s, she became one of the few women to ever to pass the 100 man kumite, a test that’d have her face down 100 opponents one after the other in Kyokushin jarate bouts lasting up to a minute each.
It was at this point promotions all around the world, inckudr LAW, began offering her contracts, but she’d never except fighting in anything that wasn’t an ‘official’ martial art.
At 22 her world would change, after she had her first child with the man she loved After taking a leave from martial arts, she would return to it sooner rather than later & her daughter would come to apperciate martial artts as well, but she’d alsome come to, unloke her mothe, love LAW’s genre of wrestling. It was then when tragedy struck. During a law young lioness try out, her daughter though a formidable fighter on the way to win a spot in LAW, was injured by a vertebreaker that was clearly intentionally intended to hurt her, yaking her out of the running and foiling her daugther’s dreams Enranged, Ajkuna would finally join LAW, wanting nothing more than to get her hands on the girl responsible.
