L.A.W. - League of Anime Wrestling

Today's match was a Standard Rule Match with Jobber Joe's first debut in L.A.W. After some backstage shenanigans, Jobber Joe was told to wait for his que and entrance music to play.

"Making his debut! Standing 5'11 and weighting in 175 pounds! From Paris, France...Jobber Joe!"

Jobber Joe would make his grand enterance in the ring as he ran out and waved to the crowd. However he would make a blooper in his first ever match as once he got close to the ring he would trip and slide underneath the ring. This caused the crowd to laugh out loud as Jobber Joe slides back out and tries to tell the fans he was A ok before sliding into the ring.

Once he got to the ring he would raise one arm up and begin his classic intro while stumbling around like an incompetent fool.

"Bonjour, Bonjour! Je suis Jobber Joe!" The crowd laughed as Jobber Joe almost lost his balance before catching himself and tried to play it off with his best smile. Once his enterance was over the stage would turn towards Drake as Jobber Joe waited in his corner with shaky legs.

Drake Benton was in full on panic mode. He had done a live backstage promo segment with Jobber Joe right before the match. Joe’s antics took Drake by surprise and he laughed uncontrollably for a long time. Completely oblivious to his surroundings, Drake had lost track of time (and everybody leaving). By the time he recovered from his stupor of hilarity, Drake saw he was alone and, upon looking at the clock, realized he was on. Right now. The promo was on the other side of the arena, so Drake engaged in a full on sprint to get to the ring in time.

Meanwhile in the ring, Drake Benton’s entrance music played. And the crowd automatically boo’d in anticipation. But there was no Drake.

The music stopped and after an awkward pause it played again.

Still no Drake. The crowd began laughing. The ref looked around in confusion and then began counting Drake out.
ONE!

Drake's theme song would play, bit there was no Drake Benton coming out the enterance. The referee and the rest of the staff started to talk about Drake's tardiness and so they decided to count to 10 if Drake dosen't show up. Realizing this Jobber Joe was hopeful that Drake dosen't come and it would result in an automatic victory for him.

6...7...8...

The count out would reach almost to 10 and in the moment Jobber Joe had already claimed himself as the victor.

"J'ai gagné!" Jobber Joe jumped to the turnbuckles and raised his hands in triumph. He didn't care how he won since Jobber Joe was in a very, very, very big losing streak and so any victory he was willing to get.

Drake was in full on panic mode. As he drew closer to the arena, he could hear the crowd banging and counting him out. By the time he heard 8, he had emerged from the side tunnel in a full on sprint. Drake hadn’t sprinted that long or hard in ages. The Colossus came up to the barricade.
”NINE!”
Drake jumped and hurdled over the barricade but his momentum carried him forward, smashing him shoulder first into the ring corner. Running on pure adrenaline, Drake spun around and then he rolled into the ring at the last possible millisecond! The ref stopped the count and the Colossus collapsed and lay there starfished in the ring. Drake was completely out of breath and his chest heaved up and down. Meanwhile, the bell rang.

Drake had just bolted tot he ring before the 10 count. The referee would ring the bell to start as Jobber Joe had to be tapped on his shoulder that the match was underway.

"Quoi?" Jobber Joe looked alarmed when Drake was inside the ring. However it seem the giant was starfished and tired...perhaps Jobber Joe's comedic antics got the best of Drake. Without a moment of hesitation Jobber Joe laid on top of Drake and tried to get a single leg hooked.

"Nnnnggghhh!!!" Jobber Joe tried to pull Drake's right leg for a single leg pin but was having troubles lifting it up.

"Nnnnnggghhg!" Jobber Joe tried again to lift the leg up but gassed out and started panting. The ref was so confused as Jobber Joe simply just laid on top of Drake and the ref decided to start counting it.

"1...2..."

Was still staring at the lights. Suddenly he felt a weight on his chest and looked down to see Jobber Joe laying on top of him.

Suddenly Drake heard the ref pounding his hand on the canvass and counting.
ONE!
TWO!

The ref stopped counting and pointed at Drake’s resting leg on the bottom rope. The Colossus was still gassed, so that was the best he could do to stay alive in the match. This was the closest he had ever come to defeat. Drake would attempt to recover and get up.

Jobber Joe was pushed back when Drake kicked out of the pin. However Drake looked exhausted giving Jobber Joe some courage to attack.

"Alright colosse! Time to face my wrath!" Jobber Joe would put his dukes up and start throwing punches after punches.

The punches to Drake felt like being punched by a cloud and after 20 seconds of constant pillow punches, Jobber Joe accidentally gassed himself out. He started panting and was almost on the verge of collapse.

Drake got to his feet and felt a pitter patter of limp punches against his stomach and steel jaw. Jobber Joe hit Drake with a flurry of light blows then gassed himself out. However, having nearly lost the match twice, Drake was no longer amused. He surged forward, extended his arm, and nailed Joe with a lariat.
”Is it funny now, funny man?”

Jobber Joe was knocked down to the canvas with a lariat...however Jobber Joe immediately got up back to his feet real fast and walked towards Drake.

"Non..." Was all Jobber Joe could say aboutb the Lariat before flopping down to the floor comedically.

Jobber Joe Flop

The arena busted into laughter and cheers as Jobber Joe lays prone, looking as if he just died.

Drake wound up ready to punch Joe as he walked towards him. But then Jobber Joe fell face forward onto the mat. Drake should have pinned him then and there. But alas he could not. Drake began laughing hysterically again. He laughed so hard that he bent over.
”BWAHAHAHAAHA!!! THAT’S NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE!! PRICELESS! HAHAHAHAHA”
