Athena Wonder vs. Amy Evans - Battle of the Strong

Athena was disoriented thanks to the strike to her head, and then, Amy decided to bring Athena back into the ring. But before she did that, Amy kicked at her legs before she smashed Athena's head into the apron, leaving her even more disoriented. Soon, she pushed her into the ring.

Laid out on the canvas, Athena groaned as she tried to focus on her recovery, but for the time being, she was in quite a precarious position, with her head still throbbing painfully from the strike that she had taken earlier. Things didn't look too good at the moment, and Amy would be free to go to town on her due to her current condition.

Amy knew she had to do something her body was getting sluggish and sore all over, and the more that went on the sloppier her offense would get making easier for Athena to turn things around. When she was near her again her mind was focused on exactly one thing and that was ending the match there and then, raising her arm she would throw a hit down onto Athena's chest before her fist would hammer down on her head over and over again trying to club the life out of Athena before she grabbed her blonde hair and forced her up.

"Still tough as hell, as expected of a vet....Still, I'm not playing around." Amy said as she would once again go low to try and lift Athena up on her shoulders grabbing the injured leg for emphasis and giving it a squeeze when she held her up. Though she would stagger from the sheer weight she had to lift she would steady herself and with a heave try to throw Athena down with an F-5 once more.

Now that both of them had returned into the ring, Athena was still struggling to recover, though with her head throbbing painfully, it was hard for her to actually focus on her own recovery. And then, Amy went over to her before she hit her right in her chest before hitting her head with her forearm over and over. The attacks shook Athena greatly, and when she was pulled up, she groaned, her eyes unfocused. Things didn't look too good for the mature blonde, it seemed.

Right after that, Amy went to pick Athena up, placing her on her shoulders, presumably to finish her off. But Athena wasn't one to allow anyone to defeat her without a fight. So, while she was still on Amy's shoulders, the mature blonde would try to get her arm around her opponent's head, and when Amy tried to bring her down with an F-5, she would try to pull Amy's head with her, looking to spike that head into the mat as she traveled down to the canvas with an improvised DDT!

Amy once again found herself setting things up to end this match and put Athena away ideally for a victory for her, but just as she seemed poised to do that she felt Athena work at grabbing her head to make sure that she fell with her and spiked her own skull into the mat a second time. Amy stopped herself from letting that happen even if it meant stopping the move cold and keeping her grip on Athena. She wasn't about to let herself be tricked by the same move, but she also couldn't let Athena stay up on her shoulders where she was already too damn heavy and weighing her down. Amy eventually had to just lift up trying to get Athena to let go of her head so she could drop her to the mat.

"Rnnhh...beaten you down this much and you don't know what to quit. Fine we can break you in other ways." Amy said stumbling back after the weight was off her shoulders. Soon she would be going back to Athena looking to grab her hurt leg once more and use it to control Athena.

Athena had done this maneuver before in this match, and she was about to do it again on Amy. But the younger blonde saw what Athena was planning to do, and she stopped herself from bringing her down. Instead of being brought down into the mat with an F-5, Athena was merely dropped down by Amy, and she grunted as she hit the mat.

"URGHH!!"

Athena rolled herself to her side. Her leg was still aching from the abuse it had taken, but she wasn't going to let this put her in a disadvantage as she would try to roll herself away from Amy, hoping to put some distance between herself and her opponent, allowing herself a moment of respite and recovery to regain her strength.

Amy dropped Athena rather then let the finisher be stopped and cause Amy more pain. From the way she had been doing things up till now it was clear just hitting her would not end Athena like it did most of her opponents. Even after all that Athena was slowly starting to roll away and put some distance between them but the fellow blonde chased the older women as fast as she could pouncing on her and trying to keep her down.

"Alright then. Since you don't stay down I guess we will do this instead." Amy said trying to pull her arms around Athena's neck to choke her out, Athena was tough but Amy knew that no matter what if she lost her ability to breathe she would break like any normal human, with one bad leg she knew that she had a chance to put her away.

Athena tried to roll away from Amy in order to recover and catch her breath. While her leg might be hurt, she knew that she still could fight, but it seemed that Amy wasn't going to let her go as the younger blonde pounce on her, preventing her from going too far. Then, Amy went to wrap her arms around Athena's neck, locking her into a rear naked choke, causing Athena to gasp out, unable to breathe properly.

"Nnnghhh!! Aaakhhh!!"

Still, Athena's fighting spirit was still burning fiercely, and she would bring her hands onto Amy's arms, looking to pry them off her neck in order to free herself. Despite her weakened state, she would try to free herself with everything she got. She gritted her teeth, and there was a look of desperation in her face as she struggled to pry those arms off.

Amy's arms were working on bringing her foe down for good. Athena was tough but no amount of power could overcome being choked out, and with how much she had worked on Athena up to this point she was sure the fighter was nearing an end. Still Athena was working on her arms, her power never waning even with how badly she was beaten down and Amy felt her arms straining to keep it locked in.

"Dammit...just give up.." Amy muttered trying to keep her arms secured around her but Athena was keeping herself alive. Amy would try to tighten the hold one more time but if Athena was still holding out she would have no choice but to let go and try something else before Athena broke out and made things harder on her.

Athena kept trying to pry those arms off her neck, struggling to break free. Despite her increasingly weakening from the choke, the blonde veteran wasn't going to let Amy have her way as she would keep attempting to pry those arms.

Even so, if she managed to break free, Athena would be left panting, too weakened to get up. She would end up on her side, gasping as she struggled to get her air back into her lungs and oxygen back to her head. She still refused to surrender, but things didn't look too good for the red-clad veteran at the moment.

The attempts to pry herself free continued and soon after Amy was forcing herself to try and keep the hold, it was this point she was beginning to feel maintaining it wasn't worth the effort to try and keep it. Soon she was letting it go and wodnering what to do, no matter how much she beat this women up she seemed to always have enough to counter anything that would finish her, and trying to get up Amy was reminded of her own injured leg, attempting to get up slowly to make sure she didn't cause ny more uneccessary pain. Worst she couldnt run so a Lionsault was out of the question, she was mostly able to stand on it but for anything that required lifting she was reliant on the good leg. Her options were limited as it was, so her only resort was to turn to another submission. Namely her Beast Bite hold, which she hadn't used in some time.

Moving down and trying to force Athena on her back Amy would try to risk hooking one of her arms with a leg while pulling the other one over her head before hooking her own arms around Athena's face and pulling back. If this all worked she would start pulling back in the crossface like submission hold restraining her arm and pulling on the rest to try and get a submission.
