Middleweight Championship Match: Megumi Mutoh vs Tina Armstrong

Tina wanted to make a statement and really put herself in position to storm back into the match! The tigress grabbed Megumi around the waist as she stood in front of her trying to quickly lift Megumi up onto her shoulders and fall forward before Megumi could react! Tina was trying to hit a quick sit out power bomb on Megumi, intent on sending her crashing to the mat and holding her in place for a pin attempt afterwards! Tina wanted to show Megumi just how badly she could slam women around despite not being the biggest middleweight around!

Megumi was unable to stop Tina from grabbing her before the champion set her up for a move. Straining herself to stop her, she was then lifted up by Tina before she was powerbombed into the mat. "Uaaghhhh!!!" Megumi screamed out in pain, her body splayed on the canvas after impact. Tina took this opportunity to go for a pinfall attempt, and from the look of it, Megumi seemed weakened to even try kicking out.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

But, fire returned back in her eyes and before the referee could finish her count, Megumi kicked out at two, stopping the count. Bucking her feet, Megumi growled as she would try to give herself some room to recover, though it was clear that Tina would not give her any chance for that.

Tina felt Megumi buck her hips and kick out, sending the tigress rolling. Tina was a distance away and rose to her feet, watching Megumi rise to hers. Before she could get up, Tina ran to the opposite ropes as quickly as she could bouncing off to build up momentum. She was feeling it, and for the first time feeling like she could beat Megumi, that she was just as good as Megumi! Tina had confidence against the woman for the first time and she was trying to keep her momentum rolling after taking everything Megumi could throw at her.

Tina rushed back at Megumi trying to smash into Megumi with a running lariat in order to send her back to the canvass again!

Shaking her head, Megumi would then rise back up on her feet, trying to get herself back into action. But then, Tina made her next move, rushing over to the opposite ropes, rebounding from them before moving back to Megumi as she extended out her arm. Still trying to recover herself, Megumi was unable to avoid the incoming lariat, and she ended up taking it across her upper chest.

"Ghuurghhh!!!"

The sheer impact of the lariat was enough to send Megumi tumbling down, her body folding upon hitting the canvas. She let out a wheeze, and her shocked expression perfectly visualize what she actually thought about her current situation.

Tina had Megumi down and wanted to keep riding out the surge. She pumped her fist in the air making her way back to Megumi. The tigress pulled Megumi up by the hair placing her head between her legs again.

Tina wasn't just going for any move this time. Tina was trying to hook Megumi's arms and setting herself up to deliver her tigerbomb finisher!

Still winded from the lariat earlier, Megumi was unable to stop Tina from setting her up for her finisher, her Tigerbomb. She could feel that her head was trapped between Tina's legs after being pulled up. Weakly, Megumi tried to pull herself out as she would paw at her thighs, but it was already too late as Tina hooked her arms and brought her up.

And right after that, she was thrown down into the mat, and that took almost everything out of the Combat Genius. "GUAGHH!!" She would need a lot of time to recover from that, and Tina would certainly not going to waste her time giving Megumi any chance for recovery.

Tina landed her tigerbomb finisher on Megumi, wasting no time in folding her over in a matchbook pin as she went for the cover!

"ONE!"

Tina kept all the pressure she could on Megumi, confident that her tiger bomb did the trick. She wasn't letting up though, and knew that a comeback win over Megumi would really solidify her status as a legitimate champion.

"TWO!"

"I told ya I was title worthy, and that I can take on anyone who steps up...." Tina said, keeping Megumi down. She held her breath trying to keep Megumi down for one more second...one more count....

Megumi had little to no strength left after being brought into the mat with the tiger bomb from Tina, and as she was on the mat, Tina then went for a matchbook pin, and Megumi couldn't muster enough strength to kick out.

In the end, she had to resign herself to this, and she closed her eyes and sighed. Her lips curled up into a small smile as she heard Tina's remark.

"THREE!"

And with that, the match was over. Tina managed to defeat the prodigious wrestler of her time, Megumi Mutoh. With this, Tina had proven herself to Megumi that she was a worthy champion. The defeated Combat Genius would remain on the mat even as the match had ended before she mouthed out a word to the champion.

"...Congrats."

Tina stood up and hobbled a bit as her hands were raised in victory, the tigress basking in the cheers of the crowd as the title was handed back to her. She held it high and strut a lap around the ring before making her way back to Megumi. Tina put the title across her shoulder and offered a hand to the challenger.

"You are a damn tough broad ya know that?" Tina said with a laugh. "This title will be yours someday, and when the time comes ya sure as hell will deserve it. Maybe we can have another match sometime? You can get your friend and I can get my big old oaf pal Alaina for a tag match?" Tina said with a smile.

Megumi sighed as she sat up, looking at Tina who was celebrating her victory by strutting around, lifting up her defended title. Then, Tina approached her and offered her a hand. Smiling as she shrugged, Megumi took the hand and got back up on her feet.

"Well, maybe someday..." Megumi said, nodding. "That sounds like a good idea. About the tag match, I mean. Well, I guess that's it. And once again, congrats. You're a fine champ, you know?" After giving Tina a pat to her shoulder, Megumi would then make her exit, heading out of the ring and walked to the exit, looking forward for a well-earned rest. Despite her loss, she's pretty satisfied with it. Tina had proven herself to be a worthy champion, and she would not ask for more than that.
