Yuki Onna vs. Michiko Shimizu - Breaking Momentum

Yuki continued her struggling, moving towards the ropes in hope to get herself a rope break to liberate herself from the hold. She could feel that her opponent was straining while applying the hold on her, and eventually, she managed to reach the ropes, getting herself the rope break. The referee told Michiko to release her from the hold, and Yuki gasped as she used the ropes to pull herself back up. Despite being freed, the damage was already done, and this would affect her performance in this match.

"Haa... gahhh..."

Yuki panted as she pulled herself up using the ropes, almost buckling under her own weight due to the damage that she had taken on her legs. She heard Michiko's complimenting her, but due to her current condition, she was in no shape to reply to that. For the time being, all Yuki could do was to lean against the ropes, hoping to recover and regain a little bit of her strength in order to get enough fighting chance against her opponent, but she was aware that she was virtually defenseless against her opponent due to her struggling to recover.

Michiko was beginning to feel the effects of the match set in too. She had pushed her body hard as she tried to outlast Yuki, and her opponent had put her to the test every step of the way. For sure this had been a hard fought battle, and Michiko believed that her foe was every bit worthy of going up against her if she was as capable as she'd shown herself. However, Michiko wanted to win this - and it was about time, she thought, to bring this home.

Shoving herself up from the mat, Michiko pushed her body to lurch forward. She saw that Yuki needed to recuperate, staying back against the ropes, and she figured that if she could close the distance in time, she'd be able to hit Yuki before she would recover. The trick was being able to get that close before her own strength would fail her - but the determination was brewing in Michiko, and she pushed herself closer with each step, even if her gait was stiff and plodding, and even if she staggered and shuddered with each step she took. She fought through the pain in her legs, as the crowd cheered on every stride she made in coming closer!

If she could get close enough to Yuki before her footing gave out, Michiko would push herself back to her feet with a battle cry, wrapping her arms around the girl's waist. From there, she hoped to push herself back up and deliver a German Suplex, swinging the blue-haired girl over her shoulders so that her head would hit the mat!

Yuki was struggling to recover in order to regain a little bit of strength to continue the fight, and from the look of it, Michiko seemed to be running on fumes as well. But, as her opponent approached her, Yuki was unable to do anything and when she felt her opponent's arms wrapped around her waist, she was too slow to do anything. She tried to bring her own hands onto Michiko's arms, but she couldn't exert enough strength to pry those arms off her waist to release herself.

She could hear the sounds of the crowd cheering for the two of them, though they were somehow muted slightly due to her current condition. When she was still struggling to get herself free, Michiko then heaved her up, throwing her over her head and shoulders with a spectacular-looking German suplex. For a fraction of moment, she felt weightless before she crashed onto the mat, landing on the back of her head and shoulders. She let out a pained scream as she landed onto the mat, her body folded upon impact.

"AAAHHH!!!"

The impact left her devastated, and she could no longer hear the crowd popping to such a move. Her blue hair splayed on the mat as her legs practically dangled right above her face. With her shoulders pressed against the mat, Yuki was in a pinfall position, and the referee came over and started counting for the pin. At this point, Yuki had no strength left to break the pin, and it was clear as day that there was no fight left in her, with her red eyes looking unfocused and half-lidded and her lips parted slightly.

Even if both women were fatigued from the intensity of their pitched battle, Michiko was the one who saw the opening, and she was ready to seize on the opportunity to push her momentum. It had been a prolonged struggle back and forth between the two of them, with whoever who held the upper hand fighting tooth and nail to make sure things stayed that way - and now, Michiko was going to take that to the end. She didn't know how much longer she could go; it was all or nothing.

She felt as Yuki fought against her hold on her, but she was undeterred. The lilac-haired girl only sunk in her grip tighter to squeeze at Yuki's waist, keeping her in place as she threw her weight backward to deliver her head into the canvas. Michiko heard the scream as Yuki was thrown down, the impact causing her to fold over herself. She didn't release the hold, however, as the referee came over to begin the count. As far as Michiko was concerned, now was as good a time as any to go for the finish line! Keeping her grip on Yuki secured, she bridged her hips further off the ground, trying to hold down the pressure. All the while, her teeth clenched, as she waited on the final announcement to come...

Yuki still remained in that position, her body folded as Michiko maintained the bridge. She showed no sign of kicking out, and it was clear that she had no strength left to continue the fight. Even if she wanted to not lose, she already ran out of gas at this point, and there was nothing she could do about it. In her current state, Yuki could hear the sound of the referee counting for the pin, and she had reached the second count. It looked like the third count would also come unhindered.

"THREE!"

And there was the third count. With that, the referee called for the bell, ending the match with Michiko's victory. If Michiko released Yuki's body, she would fall to her side and slump against the mat, breathing shallowly. Then, she would get herself on her back and bring her arm over her eyes, feeling a little bitter over her defeat. Despite her best effort, her best wasn't enough to give her a win. Still, it was quite a exhilarating fight, and while she wished that she could emerge victorious, it was one positive thing she could take from this whole thing.

Michiko began to pant under her breath, feeling the soreness of her muscles set in as she lay atop her opponent. If Yuki kicked out, she didn't know how well she would be able to hang on. Luckily for her, though, it didn't look like she'd need to worry about that! With each count the ref made, Yuki was brought closer and closer to defeat, and Michiko's grin grew wider. It was looking like she could be sure she'd emerge victorious - and, soon enough, the bell sounded.

As it rang out, Michiko let Yuki go. As the referee held her arm up in triumph, she could feel even her tired body be gripped by a surge of vigor, encouraged by the rush of victory as the crowd roared in her support. "Yes!" she shouted out, pumping a fist in the air as she hopped off the ground, only to rub at her leg soon afterward. Maybe, she thought, it was still a bit early to be doing that.

"And here is your winner, by pinfall! MICHIKO SHIMIZU!"

At the same time, Michiko couldn't help but notice how her opponent was reacting, in a rather more surly fashion and still on the mat. As soon as the ref had let her go, Michiko turned back to Yuki, walking over and holding her hand out. offering to help her up.

"Just wanted to say...you did a great job out there," Michiko said. "Nearly had me, more than once. So...no hard feelings, alright?"

Yuki could tell that Michiko was celebrating her victory, and she would remain on the mat before she sat up, sighing heavily. Her body was still sore from everything that she had taken, and she wished to get some rest after this. Then, Michiko got back to her and offered her a hand to help her up. The cerulean-haired wrestler blinked as she looked at the offered hand before she smiled and nodded. She took the offered hand and allowed herself to be pulled up.

"No hard feelings..." Yuki said softly. "Congratulations, and thank you for the good match." She gave Michiko a pat on her shoulder before she turned around, staggering away from her opponent before making her way out of the ring, looking to make her exit. The crowd cheered for Yuki despite her loss, and she smiled to them as she raised her arm. Before she left, she would nod to Michiko one last time, waving at her for a bit before disappearing backstage.

As she turned to Yuki, Michiko could see the sorrow in the girl as she let out a sigh, taking in the news of her defeat. She almost felt guilty for being as excited as she was over her victory, not wanting to make her opponent feel inadequate - after all, Yuki had given it her all, and the soreness still wearing off from Michiko's muscles stood as proof enough of that. The match had been a close one, one that left the fans on the edges of their seats at every moment, and down until the very end it looked as though it could be anyone's game. Michiko was pleased with the effort she had seen, and now she wanted Yuki to know it was commendable as ever, no matter the match result.

Taking the blue-haired girl's hand, Michiko hoisted her to her feet, smiling as the two of them looked one another in the eye. Sure enough, the disappointment in Yuki was quick to wear off, as she thanked Michiko for her efforts. She nodded with a smile, pleased to accept such compliments - from an opponent as committed as Yuki had been, she knew it meant a lot to be deemed worthy. "No problem! It truly was a great one. Maybe, some time, our paths will cross again?"

Indeed, Yuki apparently hadn't forgotten Michiko, and Michiko wouldn't be forgetting Yuki any time soon. She was among those applauding her as she raised her hand, and, as she waved back at Michiko before exiting, the lilac-haired woman would meet her with a wave of her own. Even after Yuki had left, Michiko would still stand in the ring for a short time, thinking back on the match, and what a worthy opponent Yuki Onna had proven to be. For sure, it would be one to remember.
