Middleweight Championship Match: Megumi Mutoh vs Tina Armstrong

Tina was hurting and unaware as Megumi crashed into her! She crumpled in a lifeless heap onto the mat laying motionless as Megumi smashed her skull. The champion was down and clearly out of it as Megumi looked to be on her way to a dominant win over Tina in the title match! Tina was so hurt, so unaware that she didn't feel the shame she normally would have under the cirucmstances. It looked really bad for her, with her fans shaking their heads and looking on in silence as Megumi's fans roared their favored wrestlers control of the title match!

Hitting Tina with the Shining Wizard, Megumi looked at the younger wrestler who crumpled to the mat. The champion had shown a very good fight so far, and she deserved respect and admiration from the Combat Genius, but Megumi aimed to defeat her in this ring and take that title from her. Getting down onto her knees, Megumi would make sure to have Tina lying flat on her back before she pressed her hands on her chest, pressing her shoulders against the mat for a dominant pinfall attempt.

"You fought well, Tina... but in the end, the stronger one prevail..." Megumi told Tina as the referee came over next to them. "Just stay still. This will be over soon." And the referee started counting, slapping the mat.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

Tina was still motionless, two of three counts done. The referee's hand went back up, descending once more as it was just about to hit the mat. However Tina let out a scream as she thrust her shoulder up, breaking up the pin just before she was put down for three! Tina's chest was heaving, and she still looked dazed but she had managed to prevent herself from losing at this moment! The question remained as she laid there if she was going to mount an unlikely comeback or if her kick out had simply delayed the inevitable....

When Tina broke the pin, Megumi couldn't contain her surprise as she frowned, but she shook her head, thinking that all the damages she had dealt wasn't enough to put her opponent down for good. "Hmph... as expected from the champion, but this is as far as you can go, Tina. You still have more rooms to improve, but this is the end."

Getting up, Megumi would then try to entangle her legs with Tina's, facing away from her. Then, she would bend backwards so that she could reach for her chin with both hands. She would try to put her opponent in her dreaded Muta Lock, looking to get a submission out of the champion so that she could finally take the title from her!

Tina was still in it, but she knew she had to act and do something otherwise the end was nigh. As megrim began wrapping her legs up Tina knew she had to escape, and the tigress tried to use all the strength she had left to twist her torso and roll, trying to fling Megumi off her while reaching out to grab the ropes as a break in case she wasn't able to totally dismount Megumi!

In addition to that Tina knew using the ropes to help her get back to her feet would help her save what precious little she had left in the tank right now.

Before Megumi could properly put Tina in the Muta Lock, the champion twisted her body and rolled, throwing the former Wrestle Angel off of her. Losing her grip on her opponent, Megumi would hit the mat, but she would quickly try to pick herself up only to see Tina rolling towards the ropes, grabbing the rope for a rope break.

"So, still pretty lively, huh?" Megumi said as she would pick herself back up on her feet. "I guess I'll have to keep it up, then..." She would rush over to Tina, rearing her right arm back, preparing to smash her forearm into Tina's face.

Tina was up on her feet and saw Megumi rushing at her. Tina raised her forearms up to block the attack! It still hurt but it was better than the alternative. "Gotta do better Megumi. You got high and mighty, thinking I was done!" Tina shouted back before stepping to the side and swinging her right fist at Megumi's face as hard as she could in retaliation! Tina was running on fumes, but was determined to take the fight to Megumi, to show the world that Tina was just as good if not better than the proclaimed genius!

Megumi tried to smash her forearm into Tina's face, but much to her surprise, her opponent was still capable of mustering enough effort to block the attack with her own forearm. Hearing Tina's shout, Megumi prepared to launch another attack, but this created an opening that Tina could take advantage of as she swung her fist right into Megumi's face.

"AaaAAGHHH!!"

Megumi cried out in pain as Tina's fist hit its mark. She staggered back, attempting to create a distance between herself and her opponent as she would bring her hands to her face, nursing the pain. Grimacing, she would quickly regain her footing, planting her feet on the canvas as she prepared herself to take whatever Tina would try to do next.

Tina saw Megumi stumble and she knew she had to go for something big. The tigress ran up and reached down to try to hook one of Megumi's legs as she used her other arm to grab her around the waist. With a loud scream Tina lift Megumi up and back, trying to send her to the mat as hard as she could with a t-bone suplex! Tina had to ride her adrenaline, and feed off the crowd if she wanted to have a chance at coming back against a woman like Megumi!

Still reeling from the punch to her face, Megumi was unable to stop Tina from doing her first move as the younger wrestler went for a t-bone suplex, lifting Megumi up before throwing her down into the mat. "Guaaahhhh!!!" Megumi slumped against the mat, feeling the pain all over her body. But, she would not allow this to stop her as she would make sure to get herself on all four before trying to pick herself up. But due to this, she was extremely open to whatever Tina would throw at her next.
