Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer

The intense offense continued! Antonia had her trainee on his knees, and he was about to deliver a roundhouse kick to the back of his head. Thankfully for Oscar, the Lion Young turned his head in time to notice and catch the kick! Antonia raised an eyebrow in amusement. She was about to pull her leg away, but Oscar twisted it and made the general fall onto her front. "Uggh!" The blonde grunted, now finding herself on the mat, with her trainee locking her in a single-legged Boston Crab! "Ngghh!" The key words here though were "single-legged". Looking to escape, the army ant would use her free leg to throw a wicked kick towards Oscar's lower back. If that worked, she'd jump up towards Oscar, before attempting to to arc her leg for a towards kick, aimed right at the lad's skull!

Antonia wasn't holding back with this strike at all. Oscar needed do something effective, preferable something that would lead to him throwing Antonia, so he could pass this test. But if the kick hit, it was certainly lights out from there! "HIIYAAA!"

Oscar let out a pained gasp as a kick was thrown into him- making him let go and fall over- barely managing to catch himself on his knee as he went to force himself up. His heart was beating like mad as he turned to see one more kick fly towards his skull. Time had no meaning as Oscar was quick again to raise his hand- yes HAND as in singular as he went to catch the strike. The impact of the general's foot sent a wave of pain up Oscar's arm- a numbing sensation taking hold as Oscar grit his teeth and let out a quiet snarl of determination.

Assuming Antonia fell onto her back, Oscar would make quick work with his free hand and go to grab the ant general's other leg- be it by her kicking at him or by picking it up off the canvas before going to try and spin himself around with his Barbaric grip on Antonia's legs. It would appear Oscar was putting the rest of his strength into a giant's swing- but weather Oscar could pull it off before Antonia found a way to escape was yet to be seen! Antonia would have to act fast though- because Oscar was picking up speed rather quickly...

Courtesy of her martial arts training, Antonia's powerful limbs were capable of unleashing devastating strikes. One of those strikes had made Oscar fall to a knee. And the follow-up one was threatening to knock Oscar's lights clean out! But the Young Lion persevered! It hurt. It hurt a lot. But Oscar managed to catch Antonia's deadly kick, using just one of his hands! Antonia didn't immediately fall onto her back, but she was left balancing on one leg. And before the general could pull her caught leg away, Oscar grabbed the other one, then causing Armie to fall onto her back!

The blonde grunted, also hitting the back of her head against the canvas. This left her stunned just enough, for Oscar to start preforming a Giant's Swing on her! As sharp as the nerdy ant's mind was, even it was susceptible to getting dizzy. And dizzy it became, as Oscar picked up speed and swung her around! When her trainee finally released her, Antonia hit the canvas back-first, before the momentum caused her to roll over. Though afterwards, she would skillfully spring back up off her hands and stand. After shaking the dizziness out of her head, she addressed her successful trainee! "You-You have done it." Antonia said with a mixture of surprise and respect. "Well done, my pupil!"

Oscar was successful in throwing his trainer- tossing Antonia across the canvas as he released her! Due to his own fatigued state, however, the Barbarian Prince would stumble backwards and fall over right onto his ass looking totally exhausted. Antonia's praise did help a bit though as Oscar looked over at the woman, giving her a proud smile as the bruises from the intense training had finally caught up with him.

"Y-yeah... yeah! I did it! I did it!! Th-thank you, General Aunt!"

There was a tremble in Oscar’s voice as he managed to sputter out a thank you before slowly lying down onto the Canvas to relax his aching body as he closed his eyes.

"Oh man... that... that was tough. REALLY tough but... it feels good to pull that off, hehe"

A chuckle escaped Oscar’s lips as he took another big breath.

"How are you holding up, General Aunt? You hit your head pretty hard there..."

The Young Lion had finally completed the last phase of his training for today, by successfully throwing his trainer! Antonia was able to recover and pop up afterwards. But understandably, Oscar fell down after the fact, given the exhaustion and pain of everything Antonia put him through setting in. After a bit of celebration, Oscar would lay down on the mat fully, clearly tired out. Though it wasn't too long until Oscar considerately checked on his trainer's state, given the tumble Antonia endured when she was thrown.

"Hmmph. Need not worry about me." Antonia proudly insisted. Though she obviously didn't have to endure as much punishment as her trainee, the general was sweating and panting a bit. Though she was fine otherwise. "You're the one with numerous scratches and bruises from were my hands, fists, and boots have stuck you. That being said, I am indeed proud you endured so long. I calculate that along with learning more defensive techniques, we've also increased your stamina level. But now you can finally rest."

Antonia left the ring, only to reach back in it from the bottom floor. She'd pull on Oscar's legs, to pull him out of the ring and onto her back. Tapping into her ant-strength, Antonia would impressively manage to carry Oscar's bulky, heavy frame, before setting him down on a nearby chair. She'd briefly depart once more to get her pupil and herself a cup of water, before sitting down next to him, as mentor and student both would unwind.

Oscar was too spent to even manage a response to Antonia, only being able to give a pained chuckle as she pointed out at how beat up he was compared to her. As Oscar's instructor would drag him out of the ring by his legs, the young lion looked quite surprised as Antonia was able to carry him over to a sit and recuperate. When the water cup was brought to him, Oscar was quick to gulp it down before letting out a very satisfied sigh as he practically melted into the seat.

"Ahhh man... I'm gonna need a long soak in an ice bath after this... you don't mess around at all, don't you General Aunt?You mind if I ask where you learned to fight like that?"

Oscar would look over at Antonia as she took a seat next to him. The time for sparring and studying was over- so perhaps it was time to get to know his new instructor.

Oscar and Antonia both drank water and relaxed together, after their intense training session. Though it didn't take too long for the Barbarian Prince to propose a question to the General of the Anthill, starting a conversation.

"No problem. As a young girl, my parents enrolled me in mixed martial arts classes. Their goal was for me to learn self-defense, in response to someone messing with me at my educational institution, and desiring for such an event never to occur again. Long story short, it became my lifestyle." Antonia answered. "However, among the numerous disciplines I learned taking martial arts classes, I ultimately found the most joy in wrestling. Before considering numerous career pathways in college, I participated in several street wrestling events in my city's underworld. But the call of the ring would always reach out to me. And now I am here."

After explaining this, Antonia figured she might as well get to know Oscar more as well, besides all the public data she had collected on him beforehand of course. "So what about yourself?" She asked. "How did you find yourself part of this prestigious wrestling organization?"

"So... you got bullied, learned to fight back and make a living off of it. Got it"

Oscar chuckled and nodded his head as he simplified Antonia's story. He let out a hum as the general asked him how he got into the business.

"Well... to cut the really personal stuff short- I was in a really dark place mentally for a long time. One day some friends from my old job took me to see a wrestling show and I found myself inspired by a rookie who was struggling against a veteran. Can't remember her name, but she kept on smiling the whole way through- even when she ultimately lost the match. Then something just... clicked to me when the veteran helped the rookie up and raised her hand with plenty of folks cheering for them"

Oscar smiled as he recalled the event, feeling quite emotional.

"I got inspired to start studying wrestling after that. Not only because it looked fun as hell, but because I want to try and inspire others- to light that spark that kindness a fiery passion not just for people in the audience, but even for other wrestlers. With so many people who seem to want to bully, gatekeep, and just to give others a hard time I figured it'd be good to help out and encourage them"

Antonia listened intently, as Oscar explained why he got into wrestling. "Hmmm. I see." She responded, processing and analyzing all the information she'd just heard. "Despite being a champion-worthy rising star, I can relate to the desire to encourage rookies. Or more specifically, Young Lions and Lionesses. The fact that you specimens join the program implies you're actually trying to get better, instead of disgracefully settling for failure and mediocrity."

The general stood up and faced her trainee. "My pupil, if you truly desire to encourage the audience and other wrestlers, I calculate your tough and hardy disposition will accomplish such a task. I appreciate you taking everything I threw at you, and improving yourself. By doing so, you have encouraged ME to continue my duty as a YL Trainer. Raising the number of competent LAW wrestlers, one training secession at a time. We'll train regularly of course. And as your instructor, I expect great things from you, Oscar Orelash: The Barbarian Prince."

Antonia smiled and offered Oscar a handshake. The Young Lion's determination had gotten him well on Antonia's good side, far beyond her cold and calculated exterior.

Oscar looked up at Antonia and listened to the ant general, a proud smile creeping onto his face as she spoke of how he encouraged her to stay the course of a young lions/lioness trainer. Oscar would stand up and shake hands with Antonia after, nodding his head in agreement as she wanted training sessions to be a regular thing with her.

"Of course! I look forward to learning from you. And... there's one other thing I want to ask"

The young lion would look a bit hesitant at first as he tried to find the words- taking a deep breath before continuing.

"About the whole... smother... thing. I'll be up front. I don't really mind too much with helping my friends with stuff they like so... if you want to keep doing smothers on me, I won't object. Besides- moves like that are crazy popular in LAW, right? I wouldn't mind wanting to work on enduring them as best I can"
