After the splash, despite Kate managing to kick out, she was still barely holding on and in no state to resist Ryuko as she picked her up and began to set up for something. She tried to shake free or back away, but her senses were coming back to her too slowly, and her opponent would manage to bring her up onto her shoulders with ease before she could even fully register what was happening. Then she panicked.
It didn't last long, one powerful swing nearly cracked the ring floor as Kate's body was slammed onto the ground, leaving her splayed out on the mat, arms floping to either side as she seemed to be knocked completely unconscious, not even able to groan in pain at such a devastating move!

Thunder Ryuko immediately covered Kate hooking a leg tight after sending her down to the mat with her finisher. This match was over. Ryuko had never lost after hitting the plasmabomb.
"Come on ref count it, we're done." Ryuko said slapping the mat herself.
The official slid in to place and began the count.
"ONE!"

For everyone watching, there was no possible way that Kate could come back from this. She was dominated early in the match, and though she recovered and managed to put up a fight in the middle, Ryuko regained control and delivered the mother of all beatdowns on Kate, finishing with one of, if not the deadliest, powerbombs in the business. If anyone thought that Kate could swing this match around, those hopes were dashed with such a dominant finish as the referee started the count!
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"THR-N-no?"
The referee suddenly stopped, their hand a hair's width away from the canvas as they watched in confusion as Kate's body jerked, kicking out at the very last second and slowly sitting up, looking like she came back from the dead. "Didn't hear no damn bell!" She slurred out as she tried to get up, still unsteady from what should by all rights have been the end of this match.
